Election Day!

After about an hour of play this morning...and after several cups of coffee for Momma, we all got cleaned up and headed to our polling place to cast our vote :)  Jude, you were excited, Bodhi, you've voted before and you weren't all that interested hee/hee The ladies that took Mommy's ID told us that your Daddy had already voted and said they were expecting the two of you (Daddy must talk about you two non-stop everywhere he goes hee/hee).

You both walked in chanting, "Obama! Obama!"  It was quite funny, especially when observing all the "Non-Obama supporters" faces bahahaha!  After we voted, Bodhi, you inserted the ballot into the machine, and then we headed to Aunt Ti's.  Mommy's been worried about Aunt Ti, she had an irregular brain scan which showed she had frothy bubbles on her brain :(  Well, Mommy told Aunt Ti she had a bubbly personality, but Mommy is SO VERY happy to report, Aunt Ti has a normal brain hee/hee well, as normal as Aunt Ti's brain can be.  Aunt Ti was never worried, Mommy on the other hand has been sick with worry.

After Aunt Ti's we came home, ate lunch, and then took a nap.  Mommy painted a picture frame and some tree branches while you two napped.  Mommy is enjoying some fun, easy craft projects for a change :)  After naps, Aunt Bethie dropped by to pick up some pillows Mommy was getting rid of, and she of course ate you to up with love and attention.  You two were being crazy little boogers so Aunt Bethie didn't get to squish you two as much as she probably wanted to :)

After Aunt Bethie left, Mommy fixed dinner...chicken noodles, mashed potatoes, and corn, yum! Daddy works late tonight, so he didn't get to eat dinner with us.  We were all sitting at the dining room table when Grandpa and Great Grandma Penny showed up.  Grandpa brought you homemade seafoam candy, which is incredibly rich!! I mean rich!!! You two ate a little piece and oh lord!  You two were bouncing off the walls, jumping off of furniture (despite Mommy's warnings), jumping on each other, screaming, you two lost your minds!  Luckily for Daddy the sugar high was wearing off when he arrived home from work.  You two crashed big time hee/hee Mommy likes it when you crash, bedtime is so much simpler :)

Mommy and Daddy are now watching the election results as they come in, and Buddha, tonight you are sleeping in your big boy bed for the first time :)  You voted, it's only right that you get to sleep in your big boy bed... you've been begging Mommy for the past several months.  Hopefully it goes well and you aren't swinging from the ceiling fan in the morning.  Mommy put the gate up and listened to see if you got up when I left the room.  I think you were so excited, you knew you had to stay in bed and be a good boy or you'd be back in your crib :)  So far, so good!!!   Sweet dreams my sweet babes.  You practiced democracy today, and you two were the cutest voters ever!

Mommy sent this video to everyone afterwards :)

Aunt Bethie sent this back to us ha/ha :)

"I'll be good Momma!"

"Sweet Dreams Momma, love you to the moon back and too!"
