Cinderella

Cinderella, Cinderella, Cinderella!!! Mommy’s friend Laura contacted her and told her that she and her daughters were sick and so they couldn’t make it to a Beef ‘N Boards children’s theatre production of Cinderella and asked if we would like to go. Laura would not accept any payment for the generous offer of these tickets, she just asked that we “pay it forward.” Daddy hasn’t ever met Laura, but her generosity and that statement tells everything one needs to know about her! So, Laura left the tickets in her mailbox for Daddy to come by and get on Friday, and we anxiously awaited this day for our adventure!

After Daddy got off work, and after a small snack for lunch, we packed up and headed to Indy! The two of you fell asleep on the ride, as Mommy and Daddy suspected. Daddy stopped in Carmel at a shopping center for Mommy to go to a Hobby Lobby in search of some Christmas lights, and Mommy suggested Daddy drive thru some restaurant for some French fries in anticipation of the two of you awakening. Daddy no sooner pulled into line at the Chick-fil-lay drive-through than you both awakened asking for Mommy. Daddy assured you both we would pick up Mommy after we placed our order for two orders of potato griddles and a chicken sandwich (for Mommy and Daddy to shareJ).

We returned to the front of the store to pick up Mommy just as she was exiting the store! Back into holiday trafficL, we continued on our journey. We arrived at the theatre about an hour before the play began and sat in the lobby, after of course purchasing each of you a magic light wand (and a Dora doll collection for you Ms. Bodhi) from the gift shop. Daddy and Mommy spoke to one of the theatre representatives and explained that we only had three tickets, that we needed to purchase another ticket,  and she asked how old you were, Buddha. We told her you were two and she said we’ll pretend “he’s 18 months and just let him inJ.” It was your first major theatrical performance, Jude Liam, playing an 18 month old, and you acquitted yourself admirablyJ.

A good number of the girls accompanied by their Moms and Dads in attendance for the play were wearing princess gowns and outfits, but none outdid your radiant beauty in your red dress, Emilia Bodhi! When the play was over, and as many, many people walked by the enclosure we were in, Daddy watched as so many peopled smiled at both of you, and especially expressed recognition of your beauty, little princess! You insisted you, too, wanted to be a princess Mister Buddha, and it was only upon arrival at the parking lot that you finally agreed to take off your sister’s Dora apron J!  Actually, Daddy is mistaken, it was an during the hour prior to the show, sitting in the lobby J
The play was, through a child’s eye, magnificent!!! Both of you were enthralled and enchanted from the opening moment!!! Each of you applauded enthusiastically throughout the performance, and in addition to expressing countless times that you wanted to “go down there” to the stage, Buddha, you also exclaimed quite loudly several times while pointing your index finger threateningly at the wicked step-mother, “mean, mean step-motherJ”! You were both, to say the least, precious to witness enjoying this remarkable production and talented presentation.

After the play we stopped at a nearby Wal-Mart to purchase some Christmas lights (Mommy hadn’t found what she wanted at Hobby Lobby) and another pair of pants for you, Jude Liam, your wet diaper exploded during the playJ. We then stopped at a tasty barbecue restaurant called Famous Dave’s for dinner before heading home. Almost everyone slept happily on the way homeJ, and Mommy and Daddy vowed to make a children’s theatre event an annual tradition hereafter, or should one say “Happily ever after…”. Night, night precious angels! And thank you, so very, very, very much Laura and Troy!

In the lobby of Beef & Boards... making faces across the room at your little "princess" brother ha/ha :)

Hee/hee  Mommy refused to let you wear your sister's pink princess dress, but you did manage to talk me into allowing you to wear your sister's Dora apron ha/ha

Buddha and Bodhi watching as the actors head backstage to get ready for their next show :)

Boy's Section!

Girl's Section :)

Stage!

Jude made a tent under the table... once the show started you were kept entertained the entire time :)  That says A LOT!

"Look Momma!"

Evil step-mother!

After the show... Princess Bodhi with the Fairy Godmother and the King! :)

Princess Bodhi and Cinderella, FINALLY!
After you got your picture taken with the Fairy Godmother and King, you went into meltdown... the line was stretched to the street and you didn't think you had to wait in line.  Mommy tried explaining that we could go to the car and wait for the line to go down, but you insisted on crying as we passed everyone in line (THE ENTIRE LINE)!  You never throw public tantrums, thankfully we had an audience of 50 when you decided to have your 1st!!!

You were the very last one to meet Cinderella... and they were all anxious to get going... probably for an after show drink is my guess ha/ha

Jude, you said you didn't want to meet any of the characters, so you waited in the car with Daddy, playing Mommy's cell phone game (the one your cousin, Nathan, created) :)

You decided after your sister and I came back to the car, and after hearing your sister's adventure with Cinderella... you wanted to see her!  They were long gone Buddy!
