Re-Homing

First, I must give thanks to Aunt Dianna!!  She had definitely out done herself this week ha/ha.  Aunt Dianna was responsible for finding our precious little Gizmo a great home, but also a home for three partially wild felines :)

This morning, Mommy got showered, got you two dressed and we were off.  We first delivered Gizmo to his new owners.  Mommy wanted to give him his best start possible, so I ended up walking him around his new neighborhood (within sight of our vehicle of you two) before taking him inside and leaving.  Jude, you were fine with this, you could see Mommy the entire time.  Bodhi, Mommy discovered that this upset you and you were crying hysterically :(  Mommy gave Gizmo's new Mom and Dad all of his toys (minus the one I found when I returned home, thank you Jude, luckily it wasn't one of his favorites), a month's supply of food we had bought, his leash, his lead, and water and food bowl.  Mommy also left an extra business card with my cell number and an offer to dog-sit for Gizmo anytime they needed.  They also agreed to contact me if they decided he was too much.  Mommy later received a report that Gizmo slept through the night, but had taken a whiz on two of their blankets, blankets that had been used when other dogs were visiting...good gravy!!!!

We were then off to run a few errands, and then we had to go pick up Grandmoo.  We loaded up the three cats and headed for Michigantown.  Grandmoo's been having some major health issues, her bladder is dropping, so her bladder surgery proved ineffective.  On top of the pain she's been in, she was a nervous wreck about the cats new home.  Grandmoo had made these two clever houses for the cats, despite being told they would have shelter in a barn.  Turns out the barn was a shed, and when we arrived the door was not open for the cats, so we were weary as to whether or not they actually have access to the "shed."  Grandmoo set them up in the shed, and gave them some tuna, food, and water, while I helped set up the "kitten," which turned out to be an "older kitten," inside the home.  After our cat delivery, Mommy drove Grandmoo home, and then rushed home to get ready for work...yep, Mommy didn't come down with the flu, though I think it's still lingering.  I fed you two lunch, grabbed your pj's, and then dropped you at Grandmoo's.  You two were super excited to get back to Grandmoo's house, and were completely upset when we dropped her off and left after our cat delivery.

Mommy worked in Lafayette, supervising a visit and conducting a drug screen, and then headed home. Mommy managed to pick up a movie Daddy wanted for one of his classes in between appointments.  Mommy then headed home, refusing to get gas at a whopping $3.95 per gallon.  Mommy started to become a little anxious when passing close by Northwestern school, and decided to get $5.00 in gas in order to make it home. Mommy managed to get home by 10pm, and was completely wore out.  You two were fast alseep, but soon found your way to my bed :)

Sweet Dreams my sweet sweet babes!  Here's to hoping all our critters find happiness in their new homes :)
