Lucky Dog & Lucky Charm

Today was recovery day from our annual Bloomington trip, and oh what a trip it was....Daddy has promised to write a three-day special blog entry detailing our trip, however, we are all battling the flu bug so it may be a few days.  (Take note, Mommy is still writing the blog after caring for you two sick kiddos and though sick myself, that's pure Grills' Women Power :)  Anyway, today was the first full day with our new family member, Gizmo.  Gizmo is Grandma Betty's best friend of eight years, and sadly she can no longer care for him, so we volunteered to provide him a loving home until finding him a forever home.  If we cannot find a great home for him, then we shall keep him with us!  Breakfast time was a real wake-up call for Gizzy, we went to sniff out Mr. Arlo's food bowl, and that's a major NO NO!  Thankfully, Mr. Arlo is slow and only scared Gizzy.

It wasn't long before GiGi and Grandmoo arrived to visit you two munchkins and meet Gizzy.  GiGi said we need to re-home Ms. Allie and Mr. Arlo, and keep Gizzy.  GiGi wanted to take Gizzy home with her, but Gi-Pa wasn't having it.  After their last dog, Tobey passed, Gi-Pa said he would never go through that again. GiGi even thought about having you, Ms. Bodhi, call Gi-Pa and ask if he would keep Gizzy... Mommy and Grandmoo said that probably wouldn't be a good idea, and didn't want Bodhi to be the cause of their divorce ha/ha!  Anyway, GiGi took Gizzy for a walk so that Mommy could get some paperwork completed and give Grandmoo some time to play with the two of you.  Mr. Arlo and Ms. Allie, surprisingly have been doing great with Gizzy (REally BIG surprise), but Gizzy is not use to all the action and noise, and he has always been passive and avoidant  of other dogs.  He's beside himself in our home :(  After GiGi and Grandmoo left at 1pm, Mommy tucked you both into bed for a nice rainy afternoon nap...the best kind!

When you two awakened, you both wanted to paint your doggy and kitty, and well Mommy bought the little bobble head statues weeks, if not over a month ago, so you two had a painting party.  Bodhi, you started complaining that your stomach was hurting you, and Jude, you puked later this evening.  You both enjoyed your painting time though.  After painting our crafts, and after making some finger painting pictures, Mommy took you upstairs to get a bath.  Daddy had arrived home after a four to five hour grocery shopping trip, so Mommy went to put away the groceries, luckily Sister Kelly had arrived.  She sat and visited with the two of you while you bathed. Brother Aaron helped carry in groceries and take things to the basement freezer (such a nice guy)!   Mommy then joined you two, washing your hair, dressing you, and then finally a super super late dinner.  You two wore your adorable St. Patty's Day shirts for bedtime.  Daddy slept the entire first half of the day, but kicked it into high gear the last half, and we were all wore out and feeling crummy by the end of the night.
