Today was super bowl Sunday and given that it is in Indianapolis this year, a lot of fanfare has been made of it all. GiPa says it is a millionaire’s party, and we’re convinced he is right; the average cost of a ticket for the game is reportedly $3800.00. Daddy says it is a marker on the fate of America’s future.
GiPa and GiGi stopped by to visit for a short visit this morning when they brought the newspaper over for us to read. Both of you, Bodhi and Buddha, threw an absolute fit when they leftL. Poor GiGi so worries about the two of you crying, she is afraid to stop by for just a short visit. You two are stinkers!
Mommy got to sleep in just a little bit this morning, Daddy tried to entertain the two of you for a while, and then Mommy got up and made all of us a great breakfast of eggs, sausage, and biscuits and gravy! After GiGi and GiPa stopped by, all of us (including Arlo) went to Foster Park and played for a while. You both absolutely love going to the park, and Buddha you not only fearlessly went down the intermediate slide twice by yourself, you even went down once head firstJ. Bodhi, you went down the slide first, and we didn’t realize how wet it was and you got drenched so Mommy had to run you home and change your clothes. While the two of you were gone, Arlo climbed up on the play fortress and went down the winding slide! J ! After you and Mommy got back, we played a while longer (Buddha you didn’t want to be on the swingL, but Bodhi you love to swingJ).
After the park, we drove our two vehicles through the car wash, Daddy took Mommy’s car with the two of you, and Mommy took Daddy’s car with Arlo. Daddy talked to the two of you the whole time our car was going through the wash bay, because the two of you were frightened once before, but this time you were both just fine.
We went home for our naps, but Buddha you wouldn’t have any part of it, so Daddy took you out “antiquing” while Mommy got some work done and while you finished your nap, Bodhi. Daddy went through the drive up at McDonald’s and got the two of you some dinner to bring home, and shortly after getting home, Sister Kelly and Brother Aaron and Brother Sean Franky joined us to watch the first half of the super bowl. We asked GiGi and GiPa and Grandmoo to come over but they wanted to stay at home snug for the night. By half-time, the two of you were ready for “night-night” and the both of you went to bed happy and tiredJ!
Mommy got some sad news tonight from PaPaw, that Sammy the beagle hound had to be put down and that his beagle pal, Sadie, was grieving without her buddy, they had always been together. We definitely know how PaPaw is feeling, and we understand what Sadie is going through because Arlo is doing the sameL
We send you our love, PaPaw, we wish we could see you more often that we do, but we certainly think of you often (like every time we look at Buddha, because he is a spittin’ image of his Mommy and you, PaPaw!). “Night, night” everyone! Peace and love.
