A Mellow Brick Road...: I Love You

Mommy had this blog entry completed, when I accidentally deleted it. So, I'm starting over

Mommy is starting backwards. Jude, you are so close to saying "I love you." When Mommy tells you "Jude, I love you," you respond by humming "I love you." Bodhi, you have learned that the simple phrase, "I love you," receives a BIG positive response from Mommy and Daddy, and you've learned to use it hee/hee "Mommy, one show?" Yes, Bodhi, one show. "Thank you Momma, I love you!" You and your brother are growing up way too fast!

Today, Sister Kelly had Mommy looking for one specific picture of you, Buddha. It was the picture of you sitting and reading Daddy's Forensic Science book. Mommy spent all afternoon trying to locate it, going through the entire last year's picture files. Mommy became sad while searching. I can't believe I've already forgotten how much you two have changed just in the last year :(

This morning you two went to Aunt Ti's. Bodhi, you again this morning, did not want to stay but wanted to leave with your Daddy. You broke Daddy's heart. You quickly recovered and Aunt Ti reports you both had a really great day. Buddha, today was the first day in a long time that Aunt Ti didn't have to change your clothes! Mommy was shocked to see that you were still wearing the same clothes from this morning. Bodhi, you have never really warmed up to Uncle Brent. You use to cry and scream whenever Uncle Brent entered the room, so for several months Aunt Ti made Uncle Brent stay hidden when he was off of work. You've made a lot of progress over the past several months, but today the wall came down. Andrew climbed on Uncle Brent's lap, and the next thing Aunt Ti knew, you were holding your arms out for Uncle Brent to lift you up on his lap too! :) Aunt Ti quickly took a picture. Mommy thinks it was because Uncle Brent was sitting in your chair hee/hee and it was your way of saying, ok then, I'm going to sit there regardless if Uncle Brent is sitting there or not ha!

Mommy took you both home for an afternoon nap. Bodhi, you fought taking a nap, but you eventually fell asleep, and you only woke up only after Buddha jumped into bed with you around 4:15pm :) Mommy got her check in the mail, so we had to hurry to the bank before they closed, definitely not an easy or quick task when you two just woke up and we had to take the Mustang. Mommy had Daddy take Mommy's car to Indy for work since it's safer and more gas efficient. We made it to the bank in time, and Mommy stopped off to get you both a Cone Palace milkshake. Bodhi, you said you wanted strawberry, then you said you wanted chocolate, but then you decided you were going to get strawberry and Bubby was going to get chocolate hee/hee You are so smart! You had never tried strawberry before, so Mommy thinks you were planning on swiping Bubby's if you didn't like it :)-

Once home, Mommy prepared your plates for dinner... roast, potatoes, and carrots :) You two ate good, even though you just had a milkshake right before dinner. We played the rest of the evening, until the two decided it was time to go to bed. Mommy had to tell you two that Daddy wasn't coming home tonight because he was away for work. Mommy gave you both extra hugs and kisses and then began the nightly clean-up routine. Mommy realized that I had left the back door unlocked while playing upstairs, so then freaked myself out. I did the responsible thing though, I searched the entire house to make sure no one was hiding hee/hee

Daddy just called, they had a free bar at his work conference, and Daddy with a sore back and aching teeth, of course took advantage of the free drinks! Oh boy! ;) Daddy told me to tell you two he loves and misses you so much!

Sweet dreams my sweet babes! Mommy loves you, Daddy loves you!!!

PS As I'm uploading pictures, Bodhi, you walked down the hall and got a blanket out of the blanket basket... Mommy went to investigate and decided to change your diaper... well, I would have, had you had one on. Apparently, you took your diaper off in order to pee in your bed hee/hee Mommy got your sheets and your pajamas changed, all while you were saying "thank you Momma" over and over! Mommy told you not to take your diaper off unless you were going pee pee on the potty. You promised :) Also, Mommy forgot to mention that you, Bodhi, had Great Papaw Grills' bling bling stickers all over the place. They were in Buddha's and Mommy's hair, on the bottom of Buddha's sock, on your pants, and on Mr. Arlo's paw hee/hee! Jude, I think you ate one so GiGi or Aunt Ti will probably find a blue square bling sticker in your poo. Mommy knows this because Bodhi laid it down on her doll house while Mommy was changing her earlier, and Jude, you decided to play with the doll house. When Bodhi returned, her blue sticker was gone. She was highly upset and we couldn't find it anywhere. Bodhi, you calmed down when Mommy told you we'd have to wait for Buddha to poo it out because he must have ate it. You thought that was hilarious!
