Holy Cow! It's 12:30am, Mommy fell asleep putting you to bed Buddha, and I just woke up and I haven't done your guy's blog...Sorry Great Papaw Grills! Daddy wrote it while Mommy was sleeping but he doesn't know how to post it yet. I have to go through all 315 pictures I took today, uggggh! It's now 2:30am and Mommy thought she loaded 60 pictures only to discover the site stopped working... Mommy is going back to bed and will continue in the morning.
What a weekend, everything so wonderfully upbeat with anticipation of taking possession of our new home! Yesterday Daddy spent a good portion of the beautiful day doing yard work, trimming trees and bushes, and mowing the yard he hopes for the last time this season :) Mommy took the two of you, Bodhi and Buddha, to Ava’s birthday party. We were all fairly exhausted and looked forward to a nice evening rest.
This morning we all awakened to a family tradition, Daddy made us all breakfast! Jude had two helpings of peaches and cream oatmeal and then joined the rest of us for a breakfast of scrambled eggs and toast and blueberry bagel. Mommy and Daddy enjoyed a new pumpkin spice coffee, while you Bodhi had juice and Buddha enjoyed refreshing ice water.
After breakfast, Daddy asked Bodhi if she wanted to go to the apple orchard and she grinned from ear to ear. I then asked you, Bodhi, if you wanted anyone else to go with us and you smiled and without hesitation said “Mama, Bubba, MooMoo, GiGi and GiGi Pa.” So, Mommy and Daddy of course called MooMoo and GiGi and extended the invitation to join us!
MooMoo wanted to wait to join us later at the pumpkin patch visit, so GiGi and GiGi Pa came over and we all left for an adventure to McClure’s Apple Orchard north of Peru on U.S. 31. You insisted on riding with GiGi, Bodhi, but once we all arrived at the orchard you wanted your Daddy :) We went inside and enjoyed lunch, Mommy and Daddy and GiGi Pa had chicken and noodles and mashed potatoes and GiGi had vegetable soup, then we all had an apple dumpling or apple crisp dessert with ice cream. Bodhi and Buddha, you both seemed to enjoy our lunch :)
After lunch, we walked further into the orchard grounds and visited the animals, goats and ponies, and chickens and bunnies, a turkey and ducks and Bodhi rode a big horse (you seemed to love your horse ride Bodhi, you showed no signs of fear or hesitation---you are going to be a cowgirl!!!), you both loved feeding the goats and “quacking” with the ducks :) Jude, you are fearless around animals, and it is so doggone cute watching you bend over to look them in the face, we just have to keep a close eye on you to keep you out of harm’s way—you are so loving!
Our timing was perfect because after our visit with all the animals, we were just in time to take a wagon ride back to the pumpkin patch where Bodhi picked out a pumpkin and we all were treated with picking our own apple off a tree and enjoying a treat! The two of you were so precious sitting on an apple crate and eating your apples. We rode the tractor pulled wagon back to the orchard store and then headed home for a nap.
After your short nap, the two of you were off with Moo Moo and Mommy to the pumpkin patch Mommy has been wanting to take the two of you to see, Price’s Pumpkin Patch on West Jefferson Street. When you all got home we enjoyed our carry-out dinner Mommy picked up for us, then Daddy got the two of you ready for bed as Mommy had to go work for an hour. When Mommy got home from work, it was bedtime for precious babies :)
We all hope to have many, many, many wonderful weekends together just like this very special day. Let’s all go to bed and dream about moving in to our new house! :) ! Sweet dreams, Princess and Prince of Indiana, direct descendants of magical elves of the mid-west :) Love and Peace to all!!!
