Trick or Treat and A Call to Poison Control

You two were in for a triple treat today... Aunt Ti in the a.m., Grandmoo in afternoon, and GiGi in the p.m.!  Buddha, you always amaze Mommy and Daddy, you were up all night long, yet you were still happy as can be when Mommy woke you this morning.  You were terribly cranky by the time Mommy picked you up at Aunt Ti's this afternoon though. Aunt Ti said you both were good babes today!  Bo, you did shake your hand at Aunt Ti and told her "no no," for no apparent reason.  Aunt Ti managed to get you to say you were sorry and you told Aunt Ti you loved her, as to make up for being so nasty.  Mommy got you both home, where Daddy was waiting to help get you guys down for your naps.  Daddy stayed home from his Ivy job sick.  We are all passing something around.  I don't know if we have a combination of food poisoning/allergies/cold, or what, but Mommy has had a major migraine for the past three or four days now.  Daddy was aching  and sick all day today too :(

You two woke from your naps cranky as heck.  Buddha, Grandmoo came over when Mommy was feeding you dinner, she wanted to take over feeding you, but you were a major crank butt.  Bo, you woke up shortly after Grandmoo arrived, and you got upset that Grandmoo was yelling at Mr. Arlo to go outside to puke, instead of standing and gagging on Mommy's rug.  You two eventually stopped fussing, only after Grandmoo took you both outside.  Mommy then got you both dressed in your adorable costumes and walked you across the street to trick or treat Grandmoo, who rushed home and acted as though she didn't know you two were coming over.  Then Mommy and Grandmoo took you to GiGi's and Gi-Pa's hood to trick or treat a few houses and pass out candy.  You two had a blast checking out people's yard decorations, the masks people were wearing, and getting candy from strangers :)  Bo, you were particularly fond a man sitting in his front yard with his male boxer, Zach, who was dressed up for Halloween.  Jude, you gave Zach a kiss, but only after being told Zach is super friendly fuzzy and that he loves to give kisses.  At the next house, Jude, you got super scared.  You were staring at the man in the scary mask (Mommy thought for sure Bodhi was going to be the one to get scared and lose it hee/hee) but nope, it was you Buddha.  You were fine at first, and about to grab a handful of candy out of the bucket when the masked man said something to you (without his mouth moving of course) and oooh boy!  You turned and jumped a mile, right into your Momma's arms, I was kneeling down beside you at the time and I about fell over backwards.  HA/HA!  We all laughed at you and then you were fine, but you walked the opposite direction keeping your head turned watching the man, your eyes focused right on him, and you didn't stop staring him down until we got way down the block hee/hee.

After about a half hour of trick or treating on GiGi and Gi-Pa's block, we eventually arrived back to their house.  They had been anxiously awaiting your guy's return and watching you two walk down the street the entire time.  Bodhi, you got busy right away putting ONE piece of candy in every trick or treater's bag hee/hee  Mommy left for work and to meet Daddy at Sam's Club, and GiGi reported that you, Bodhi, decided you wanted to go inside and play with your tea set with Dora, Diego, and Gi-Pa, while GiGi and Buddha continued to pass out candy.  GiGi and Gi-Pa got you a Dora doll and Buddha a Diego doll, but of course you took them both over.  So, GiGi says she now has to go buy Buddha a different toy :)-  You are such a sucker Bo!

Mommy arrived back about an hour later to take you both home.  You two were having a blast playing with your toys.  Mommy got you home and was getting you both ready for bed, when Momma made a big mistake!  Mommy gave Buddha his nightly dose of Benadryl and asked you, Bodhi, to come in the kitchen to take your dose, as well as your gummy vitamins.  However, Mommy spaced it, and gave Buddha a second dose of Benadryl instead of you, Bo.  So, Bubba was double dosed with Benadryl.  Mommy quickly called Poison Control and was eventually told it wasn't an ER trip, but to tickle Bubba's toes to make sure he responds in a couple of hours.  They also said it might cause him not to sleep, as in... have the opposite effect on him.  Well, it did.  Bubba was super hyper so Mommy kept him up for a while longer, but I then decided to put him in his crib to see how he would do, and he passed out almost immediately.  It was super weird and sort of scary!  As soon as I laid him down, his eyes rolled in the back of his head for a few seconds and then he was out like a light.  Mommy has since checked on him and he didn't respond to tickling his feet, so Mommy shook him and stroked his head, to which he then responded by moving his arm.  Mommy is now waiting for the Poison Control lady to call back, as she said she was going to call to check on him in a few hours.  Wow!  Mommy's first instinct was to stick my finger down your throat, Bubba, in an attempt to make you gag/puke it back up, but Daddy calmly instructed Momma to call Poison Control.  We really lucked out tonight!  Hopefully Mommy won't be too freaked to sleep tonight... Daddy on the other hand is passed out on the couch hee/hee  Well, sweet dreams my sweet Sheriff and horsey horse.  Momma and Da Da love you both soooooooo much! xoxo

An Icky Sicky Sunday

Mommy wasn't much fun today, Mommy had a migraine all day long.  You two got a ton of cuddle time with Momma because of it!  This morning Daddy made us all breakfast, and let Mommy sleep in, or try to sleep in.  Jude, you woke up at 6am and Mommy wrestled you until 7am before giving up hope that you might fall back asleep.  Daddy had got up and fell back asleep on the couch early this morning, so Mommy took you to Da Da.  When you start saying "Da Da" in the morning, that's a good indication that you are up to stay!  You want your Momma all the time, but in the morning you know if it's too early, Momma is not getting up and you know that!  Da Da is the early riser, he'll get up with you and watch the morning news and get coffee started, so you start calling out "Da Da!" :)  GiGi came by this morning and brought the morning newspaper for Momma.  Momma had submitted four pictures of you two to the Tribune, and one was selected for print :)  Bodhi, you are a night owl like your Momma.  You slept in this morning too, so you missed out on GiGi time.  However, Daddy freaked when he finally woke you and you were a soaking wet mess.  This commonly happens when you sleep-in, but Daddy isn't use to having to deal with it hee/hee.  He opted to throw you in the bath, after hootin' and hollering about how you soaked your whole bed!  He was amazed, Mommy didn't find it all that interesting with a throbbing migraine.

Mommy got up and played with you both and then Daddy decided he had had enough and decided to take a snooze himself hee/hee  After playing, Mommy then got you both down for an afternoon nap when Franky showed up with Daddy's car.  He spent the weekend with his girlfriend, Ariel.  Mommy then jumped in the shower and drove Franky home and was off to work for a while.  Mommy returned home to discover you, Buddha, were up from your nap.  You were so happy to see your Momma!  :)  Mommy fed you an early dinner and then went and picked up a pizza from Circle Pizza in Greentown.  Unfortunately, I think we got a bad one, because we all got sick after eating it.  Daddy was passed out sick on the floor trying to manage you babes, while Mommy ran to the bathroom uggggh!  Buddha, you got fussy with what appeared to be stomach cramps... you too had an explosive case of poo butt, ugggggh!  Bo, you didn't each much pizza, so you were okay.  Buddha went to bed earlier than usual, Daddy followed.  Bo, Mommy cuddled you for a couple of hours, we were laying in on your toddler bed watching cartoons.  You would roll over and periodically kiss Mommy on the nose... you made Mommy smile :)  Now you and Buddha are fast asleep having sweet dreams, and Mommy and Daddy are up trying to get work done, with ichy tummies.

This was the picture printed in the Kokomo Tribune this morning :)

Buddha you felt much better after you took a big ol'...

"Help, Momma!"  "Please put this monkey in the box before you run back downstairs!"

The Sheriff, His Horse, and The 3 Cat Burglars

This morning started off like every other Saturday, GiGi even stopped by to see you both as she does most Saturday mornings :)  Mommy and Daddy put you two down for an early nap because the Community Event Center was having a costume contest and trick or treating from 12-4pm.  Mommy raced off to Joann Fabrics to pick up some cat ears, tails, and burglar masks to keep in theme with your two costumes.  Mommy also made an unannounced drop-in visit and managed to make it back in time to get you two dressed in your adorable costumes.  Aunt Bethie, Sister Kelly, and Brother Governor aka today's photographer, arrived and we were all off to the event center.  Daddy stayed behind to work on work.  We arrived just in time for the infant to 2 year old costume competition.  Bodhi, you danced your little horse legs across stage, Juders, you walked your bowl legged happy sheriff self right by your sister (wearing your Momma's cowboy boots from when she was little).  Mommy, Aunt Bethie, and Sister Kelly accompanied you two in our cat burglar outfits...but I don't know that anyone understood what we were supposed to be.  You two were by far the cutest for your age group, and Mommy is not being biased!  For whatever reason, we didn't win though.  It's sort of funny, Mommy went to school with one Jude, interned for the Mayor's campaign in college (when he was first running for state representative), and we were related to another Judge, and there was a sheriff deputy on the panel as well, but we still didn't win, WTH?   :)-  We all decided to give you both your first taste of pixie sticks, pure sugar, and wait around for the group competition, surely we'd win that!  So, some time later, after you both were about to go into a sugar coma, we walked back across the stage.  However, we didn't win once again!  Oh well, you two are still winners, and by far the sweetest little ones there!

Afterwards, Aunt Bethie and Mommy took you two get a happy meal and some chicken nuggets for the rest of us.  We met Sister Kelly and Brother Governor back at the house and had dinner.  Aunt Bethie, Sister Kelly, and Brother Governor took off and Mommy threw you both in the bath.  After baths Mommy and Daddy took you both to Target to get some fruit cups, diapers, wipes, and cereal :)  You two were completely tuckered out by the time we arrived back home.  You two are now in dream land, hopefully having sweet dreams :)  Mommy and Daddy love you sweet Buddha Sheriff and sweet horsey!  xoxoxox

Friday Family Outing

Mommy stayed up late, or very early this morning, talking to Aunt Ti on the phone while cleaning house, so Mommy got very little sleep.  It was no surprise when Mommy over slept.  Good thing Daddy was scheduled for work a little later than usual this morning, so he took you two to Aunt Ti's.  Mommy and Daddy then were off to work.  Mommy has a horrible sore throat :(  Buddha, I think you aren't feeling too good either.  You weren't running a fever, but you only napped for about 45 minutes this afternoon, and you were fussy the rest the of the day.

Mommy had to go to Lafayette to drop off and pick up drug screens, so we made it a Friday family outing.  Once Mommy took care of business, we went out to dinner at Spaghettio's.  You two weren't thrilled, and Mommy wasn't all that thrilled either, but  Daddy said his meal was good.  We all had a nice time together regardless.  Afterwards, we went and picked up Aunt Beth a house warming gift/thank you gift... Bodhi, Aunt Beth gave you an antique toddler bed with a mattress!  It's so stinkin' cute.  Once we get in our new house, you'll be sleeping in it :)  Well, we're all safe at home.  Mommy is about to dope up on some cold medicine and retire to bed early :)-  Hopefully, tomorrow we'll all be feeling good.  You two have a costume contest to win!!  Mommy also has her fingers crossed that the picture I submitted to the Kokomo Tribune will be selected for print this Sunday...GiGi and Gi-Pa would be so excited to see a picture of you two in the paper from our orchard outing with them :)  Sweet Dreams babies! xoxoxoxox

Pictures were taken by Aunt Ti today :)  Thanks Aunt Ti!

Mommy's Pumpkin Heads

Buddha, you had a rough start this morning.  Mommy got you to Aunt Ti's where you proceeded to puke all over her floor, went through two pairs of pants do to poo'ing incidents, you whacked your head on the corner of Aunt Ti's wall, and you spiked a fever of 100.4!  You were your usual tired self when Momma picked you up, but for the most part, you were happy.  Aunt Ti gave you some Tylenol and Mommy took you home for your afternoon nap.  You were burning up on fire by the time Mommy got you home.  You didn't wake up when Momma took you out of the car and carried you to your bed though ;)  Bodhi, Aunt Ti said you were exceptionally affectionate today :)  You gave Momma a great big kiss and hug when Mommy arrived.  Your kisses and hugs, I'm happy to report, continued the rest of the day too :)

When you two woke from your naps, Mommy and Daddy fed you both dinner.  Then Mommy headed off to work to conduct a drop-in visit on her client.  When I returned Mommy had a special treat for you two... pumpkin carving time!  It was late for you Buddha, so you stayed awake just long enough to "gut" your pumpkin, then Daddy put you in your jammies and you were off to dream land.  You never did feel hot after your nap, and you were happy, so I think it might just be your teefers ;):  Bodhi, you stayed up with Momma until 10pm.  Mommy carved your pumpkin for you, as you danced to your cartoon "dance shows."  Mommy attempted to carve a flower in your pumpkin, and though I wasn't entirely pleased with the way it turned out, you loved it!  So, I guess it was a success.  Mommy sent Sister Kelly a text of you dancing to your cartoons and she instructed you to get to bed hee/hee  Mommy let you stay up a little longer, but you went to bed willingly :)  Nighty night my pumpkin heads!  I wish Daddy would have been feeling better so he could have helped Mommy take more pictures of you, Buddha, during your first pumpkin carving!

Oh and Sean Franky did some investigating for Momma and found out that trick or treating is being held 6pm-8pm on Monday, Halloween.  You never know in Kokomo when they're going to schedule trick or treating.  Franky also found out that there is a Halloween costume contest Saturday 12pm-4pm along with some other fun activities, so we'll be definitely going to that.  Mommy has the cutest costumes for you two!!! :)
