Rain Drops and Sunshine

Yet another rainy morning...  the flowers and the grass will be in full bloom in no time!  It started out warm with the sun shinning, but that quickly changed to dark skies and a cool breeze.  GiGi couldn't take it, she came and got you after breakfast, Bodhi :)  Actually, GiGi showed up during breakfast, then you didn't want to finish your oatmeal.  Jude, last night was the first night since a couple weeks after you were brought home from the hospital that you didn't end up sleeping in your little nest between your Mommy and Daddy. Mommy thinks that's why you are so bigggg, you have been permanently connected to your Mommy through the night for the last 5 1/2 months!  Mommy was like a 24/7 milk cow.   Mommy had decided, and Daddy agreed,  you need to start sleeping in your own bed because you are becoming mobile.  Plus, the bed was getting kind of tight.  You outgrew your bassinet in a matter of weeks after coming home from the hospital ($300 dollars well spent, huh).  Now, Mommy knows, lord Mommy knows, she's going to get all kinds of emails about how dangerous it is to have you sleeping with us, but we took precautions, and it's what worked for us at the time.

Mommy thought with Bodhi visiting GiGi and Gi-Pa Poncho, it would be the perfect opportunity to put you, Jude,  in a cute spring outfit and have a photo shoot with you outdoors, but that 2T outfit Mommy bought you is already snug!  It was a little long on you (it was jean material bib-shorts) but they fit like flood fighters on you hee/hee  You definitely filled them out though!  Mommy got maybe one good picture of you, you weren't in the mood and the rain was moving in, so we didn't get much accomplished in the way of our photo shoot :(

When 4:30 p.m. rolled around, the sun was back shinning and it turned out to be a beautiful evening.  Mommy put you, Jude, in the stroller and we walked to GiGi's to pick up your sister.  After picking you up, Bodhi, Mommy walked you both to Highland Park.  You both swang for a while, but then you decided you wanted a snack Bodhi.  We walked over to a picnic table only to discover four squirrels eating.  We threw the squirrels some animal crackers and old hot dog buns that Mommy had brought to feed the ducks.  One squirrel ate an animal cracker out of Mommy's hand while you, Bodhi, were sitting on Mommy's lap.  Bodhi, you thought they were the greatest thing.  A guy walking his dog came up and talked to us, and Bodhi, you visited with the hound doggy.  You always squeal at dogs, and the owner thought you and Jude were so cute. After visiting the dog and squirrels we went back tot he play equipment and played for an hour longer.  Bodhi and Jude, you both made some new friends :)  Jude, you started to get fussy and wanted held, but Mommy was way too tired to carry you home. We probably walked a good ten miles and were out for 3 1/2 hours.  Mommy got you both home safe and sound though, minus one of Jude's shoes.  Mommy got half way home and noticed you, Jude had kicked off one of your shoes, so Mommy walked all the way back only to discover that you on our way back had kicked off your other shoe.  Mommy never found the original missing shoe, but I did manage to find the one you kicked off on the way back to the park.  Mommy rarely buys shoes unless they are from a garage sale or on clearance, but these were an $18 splurge Jude :(

Every time Mommy swings you, Jude, I think of that van commercial with the little piggy that sticks his head out of the window and squeals "Weeeee, Weeeeee!"

"Back off my toy boy!"

"Oh, you were handing it to me... we can be friends."

Bodhi hates the Mommarazzi!  :/

Bodhi, you always stuff your face with a handful of snacks!

"Hey there, I have two fuzzy brothers from another mother at home just like you!"

Mr. Squirrel... ate from my hand!  Well, Mommy kind of dropped the food as he reached for it because I got nervous :)
