Fat Tuesday, Mommy Entry Number Three: A childhood experience/memory
With the spring flowers starting to bloom, Mommy is reminded of when I was a little girl and I would pick flowers from all the neighbor's yards on Windsor Street. Yes, so far Mommy has exposed a childhood experience of being "slow," dishonest, and even a cheat... so it only made sense that I expose a childhood experience that includes stealing and lying. Mommy was a major flower thief. Of course, Mommy didn't view the picking of other's flowers as "stealing," Mommy thought they were grown for everyone to enjoy and pick hee/hee. However, Grandmoo had a different view about Mommy picking other people's flowers! Mommy kept picking flowers and each time I would bring the flowers home, Mommy would be in trouble with Grandmoo. Mommy just couldn't resist! Well, one day while Mommy was walking home from school, I spotted some new flowers in a neighbor's yard, located on the corner of Lynwood and Windsor. Mommy was highly impressed with these new flowers that had just sprung up. Mommy thought to herself, I could surprise Grandmoo with a bouquet of flowers, that way Grandmoo wouldn't get mad since they were picked for her. Well, Mommy arrived home and presented the flowers to Grandmoo. Grandmoo was not happy with me, to say the least. Grandmoo, after questioning me about where I had picked the flowers, and after I had told Grandmoo the neighbor lady told me I could pick the flowers, I was told by your Grandmoo that we were going to walk down to our neighbor's house and confirm that she had in fact given Mommy permission to pick her flowers! Mommy then admitted to lying and walked down to the ladies' house with Grandmoo, gave the flowers back and apologized. The lady didn't seem to mind at first, so Mommy thought "Bonus" I get to keep them, but then Grandmoo spoke up and Mommy left flowerless :( After this, Grandmoo sat Mommy down and explained that I should ALWAYS tell her the truth, and if I ever got caught lying, I would be in worse trouble than if I had just been honest in the first place. I think Grandmoo later regretted telling Mommy to always tell her the truth, because I think your Grandmoo would have felt much better not knowing some of the information Mommy shared with her in my teenage years hee/hee. Oh boy, can't wait Bodhi!
Bodhi's and Jude's Day:
You both woke up stinky, one covered in poop and one covered in pee, so Mommy threw you both in the bath... TOGETHER! Mommy was expecting the worst, but was pleasantly surprised with the two of you. Jude, this was your first big boy bath, and Bodhi, this was your first to have company, other than Quack Quack or Barbie, in the tub with you. Jude, you splashed and made a wet mess of Mommy. Bodhi, you thought it was quite funny that Jude was splashing water all over you, Mommy, and the rest of the bathroom :) You did manage to lose your grip, Jude, twice! You were definitely not happy about being completely submersed. You cried for a minute but then continued playing. After baths you both ate breakfast together and then you played together. Play time went much smoother today than most days. Bodhi, Mommy told you not to take Jude's toys away from him, and instead you sat next to him and played. Good Girl!
After naps, you both played together some more, and then Mommy was off to Zumba. GiGi and Grandmoo came over to play with you both while Mommy was away. Sister Kelly was supposed to watch you both on Tuesdays, but she was sick and had to work on her paper. Mommy, too, still has to write a paper, ugggh! Sean Franky also stopped by as Mommy was getting ready to leave. He played with you both, making sure you both shared his attention equally. However, GiGi reported that when Mommy was gone, Franky stopped playing with you, Bodhi, and explained that he didn't want you to be "that girl" that has to have all the attention all the time. GiGi and Grandmoo pulled you both in the wagon together. Jude, this was your first time in the wagon! You sat so good in it, and didn't lose your balance, not once. Grandmoo said you were content in it for a good hour, and you only became aggitated when you had poopy drawers and were hungry (that would make me agitated too). Bodhi, once Mommy arrived back home, you wouldn't have anything to do with me. You clung to Grandmoo and GiGi for dear life! Then once Daddy arrived home, you clung to him! Huh, don't know what I did to deserve such neglect from you! Mommy stole several kisses and hugs anyway. Jude, you love when your Momma arrives back home, you are all smiles. You make up for Bodhi's lack of interest in Mommy hee/hee, you make Mommy's heart sing!
Bodhi, a picture of you was selected and posted on the Kokomo Tribune's online web page :) Jude, a picture of you and Sister Kelly was also posted online. So, Mommy managed to get three photos selected! Mommy submitted five new photos of you, Bodhi. Mommy's goal is to get you published as well as Mr. Murff and Mr. Arlo :)
