Ice Cream Sunday

Today was an absolutely beautiful Sunday!  Daddy decided to finalize the garage cleaning out project, while Mommy initially thought I would get our house cleaned since we are getting our carpets cleaned tomorrow, however, Daddy needed Mommy's help keeping you two in the backyard...you both have a habit of trying to run for the front, toward the road, when no one is looking :(  Mommy opened up some windows and watched you two from the kitchen while I made you guys lunch (leftovers from last night's dinner).  Mommy served you both lunch in our outdoor dining area (complete with a brand new outdoor fireplace, which Mommy needs to take pictures of but I have yet to take pictures of our beautiful new vehicle too though).  Anyway, you two were super happy to have a picnic and gobbled your lunch up.  You both then helped Mommy do some more yard clean-up when Bodhi, you asked if we could go to the park.  Mommy agreed, but we first needed to take Jasper home.  Mommy loaded you two up in the wagon and we took Jasper for a walk and then back to his home.  After dropping Jasper off, we headed home to get the car.  You both wanted Mommy to pull you both to the park in the wagon, but Mommy had a surprise for the two of you....a new park!!!

You both insisted that Mommy roll your windows all the way down ha/ha!  You both are amazing in so many ways... but one way of which I can take zero credit for ha/ha, you both know (at two and three years old) where we are in the city, who's house we are close to, or what stores, parks, etc... are near by :)  Nothing gets by either of you, especially now that you both have a better view out the window, or higher view :).   You both screamed when Mommy didn't turn to go into Foster Park, and then you both threw a fit when I didn't enter Highland Park.  Mommy then traveled onward, all the way to Jackson Morrow Park. You both squealed in excitement!  Jude, you said, "Look Bo,  ooooh Mom, I like this park, thank you MOM!"  It was so precious hee/hee however, I hate that you are now calling me "Mom," and not "Momma!"  I guess it's better than being called Amanda, since you do sometimes call Daddy, Michael, ha/ha!

You both played your little hearts out and had a blast!  We left only after you, Ms. Bodhi, had to go potty.  You both were bummed, but exhausted so it worked out.  Bodhi, you asked if I could take you to get ice cream, and well, how could I resist?  You both were being so good, we were having so much fun, it was a beautiful day, and most importantly, Frozen Custard is now open...Mommy's favorite place to get ice cream because they have turtle sundaes, YUM!  Mommy called Daddy and he agreed to meet us at home and join us for ice cream.

Bodhi, you asked if we could have a picnic with our ice cream, so Mommy suggested that we take Grandmoo an ice cream turtle sundae, her favorite too.  So, off to Frozen Custard we went, and then to Grandmoo's we headed.  We all enjoyed our ice cream and then we all agreed it was time for a Sunday afternoon nap.  Jude, you slept on Mommy's tummy and Bodhi, you slept on your Daddy's back.  Mommy was the first to awaken, and then of course you awakened next, Jude..."MOM Where are you, I need you MOM!"  Then everyone was up, though Daddy tried real hard not to get up ha/ha!

We all then went to Menards...our water tray at the end of one of our gutter spouts had crumbed to pieces (it was always hidden under the pine tree in the front yard, the one we had removed last summer).  You two had to see the "water park," while we were there, which consists of a  bunch of water fountains (for family wondering when Mendards got a water park ha/ha) they have an isle of fountains on display ha/ha!  You two go nuts over water fountains, we are definitely going to have to get one or make one for our outdoor dining area.

We then headed home for dinner and baths.  Bodhi, you had Mommy straighten your hair yesterday with a curling iron (you love when Mommy gets cleaned up, you want to do everything I do) but everyone agrees, you just aren't our little Bodhi with straight hair hee/hee.  So, Mommy and more so Daddy, was actually excited to get you under water and get those curls back :)

Sweet dreams my sweet sweet babes!  I love these outdoor days, as do the both of you.  Mommy needs to get on the ball with capturing our fun times with the camera, I'll try harder :)
