Well, today was an eventful day
concluding with our return home from West Baden and French Lick after Daddy’s
Ivy Tech two-day conference adjourned around 3:30 p.m. Daddy enjoyed and
benefited from the conference though there was precious time other than
sleeping to spend with Daddy’s girlfriend (ah, yeah, that would be Amanda LeaJ) and two precious baby
angels.
Our morning began quite early,
Daddy ran down (elevator six floorsJ)
to lobby gift shop to purchase Mommy some Starbuck’s coffee and get each of you
some yogurt (O-gurt, as you prefer to say BuddhaJ)
and a banana. Daddy then was off to attend his conference sessions.
Mommy gave each of you a bath
(together) and got you spruced up for the day’s activities. First, you spent
time playing in the children’s play park outside the front of the resort, and
Mommy reported you both had a blast. Mommy then took the two of you to the
resort’s children’s craft hut where each of you became absorbed with making
necklaces (and absorbed with glue)
mixing your creativity with beads and glue (again, glue, lots of glue). After several hours
of fun time, Mommy then took you on an adventure (that seemed to really stand
out when each of you gave Daddy a report) which was a trolley ride to a nearby
restaurant where you all enjoyed a late lunch.
In between your many activities,
Daddy hustled back to the room to make arrangements to load our (Mommy’s) car, and Daddy ran
into the three of you shopping in the specialty stores along the hotel’s main
hallway—each of you ran screaming into Daddy’s arms and gave him hugs and
kisses! Daddy gave Mommy some specialty buttons he purchased at one of the
stores and we all went in the store briefly so Daddy could show Mommy a hat he
wanted to purchase for her (it didn’t fit)
and so Mommy could look for some more of the specialty buttons Daddy had found.
After coordinating the loading of our car, you three went on about your
business and Daddy returned to his conference activities.
As prearranged, we all met
outside the front of the French Lick resort around 3:30 p.m. and we began our
journey home; we didn’t even make it a few blocks before we stopped at an
antique store where Mommy purchased some cedar “flowers” and where the
proprietor of the store was so kind she permitted Mommy and Bodhi to use the
bathroom of her personal home (adjacent to the antique store). Once back on the
road, the two of you were soon fast asleep (thank you Mommy for a good job
wearing baby butts out) and Mommy and Daddy made a few antique stops (in Orleans and Bedford and
Bloomington) before the two of you awakened. Mommy went into the antique shops
while Daddy held the security guard post protecting our car and its precious
cargo :).
In Bloomington, we stopped the Buddhist Temple and then we surprised the
two of you with a stop at Cascades park (one of the nicest children’s parks in
the State) and the two of you (and Mommy and Daddy) played your hearts out!
Back on the road, we made a quick pit stop at Oliver’s Winery but it was closed
so Bodhi you and Mommy made a visit to the wishing well pond and you wished for
a new Hello Kitty :).
So tired at lunch! |
