A Family Fireplace

When Mommy and Daddy were looking for our dream home to raise two beautiful baby angels and for our family to come visit anytime and feel like home, we each had a special preference which we did not ultimately find in our final pick of the West Walnut Grills-Holsapple Home: an in-ground pool or a fireplace. Today that changedJ.

When Daddy got off work today it was such a beautiful day that the two of you accompanied Daddy outside and you both played in the sand box while Daddy worked at cleaning out the garage—it was a beautiful day for outside activityJ. Mommy and Daddy moved outdoor dining table from the garage to our dining area.  After playing and garage cleaning, Daddy prepared a lunch of peanut butter and apple-butter sandwich for you and Daddy, Buddha, and an apple-butter sandwich for you Bodhi (you said you didn’t want peanut butterJ) and some pasta and tomatoes mixed together (one of Daddy’s favorites). After lunch, we all patiently waited for the return of Mommy (she had gone to the mall to have her nails done and to shop for some pants for Ms. Bodhi).

When Mommy arrived home, we all boarded our new Highlander for our adventure together, and Daddy asked if we could first go to Lowe’s and look at an outdoor fireplace Daddy had seen about a month ago. It’s very similar to the expensive fireplace we saw and wanted at SAMS club last summer.   When we got to Lowe’s we ran into Grandma who was leaving, we of course had to pause for exchanging hugs and kissesJ. We then began our search and could not immediately find the fireplace Daddy had seen; a store employee directed us to another outside location where the outdoor fire pits and such had been moved. We found a floor model of the outdoor fireplace Daddy had previously seen and Mommy liked it and we discovered it was on sale—then we discovered it was the last one (the floor model) and that we could purchase it with an additional ten percent off since it was a display modelJ. Mommy was told when she paid for our purchase that we were in fact lucky that it was the last available floor model fireplace as they were somewhat difficult to assemble and typically there was an additional cost to purchase one already assembled---we lucked out all aroundJ.

We then hurried to find a pick-up truck to return and claim our new outdoor fireplaceJ! We stopped by GiGi’s and found their truck was not running (needing a new battery—Daddy offered to help with getting a new one whenever they wanted). GiGi, of course, insisted on some hugs and kisses before we left, then we went to Grandma’s house and she offered us the use of her pick-up truck (our pick-up truck is loaded with a table and two air conditioners, which Daddy is eager to get removed to the garage!). Ms. Bodhi and Mister Buddha enjoyed the opportunity to stay with Grandma, while Mommy and Daddy picked up our outdoor fireplace and took it home and situated it in our outdoor patio area designed and created by Mommy with assistance of brother Sean Francis. It looked great when we got it set up!!!

After returning for the two of you, we then did some antiquing and found you, Jude, a cool Air Force pilot jacket (Grandpa Harold would love it, and brother Ryan Michael will think you are especially cool—brother Ryan Michael enjoys flying). We later found you, Emilia, two “orphan kitties” that we got for you but had to take home and wash in the wash machine and dry for you to haveJ.

Buddha, you love to use tools, and you love to learn about how things work :)
