This morning we played, ate breakfast then lunch, and then we all got cleaned up to go get fixed up for our upcoming family pictures scheduled for this weekend. The plan was for Buddha to get a trim and Momma some dramatic eyes :) but once we arrived at Aunt Lacey's shop, Bodhi, you quickly decided it was time for your first haircut :) Mommy was nervous since GiGi, Grandmoo, and Daddy weren't there to witness it, and then Mommy's camera died! Ugggh! Buddha, you went first, Mommy gave Aunt Lacey permission to do whatever, so long as it wasn't super short and I wanted it "shabby'ish." hee/hee Well, Aunt Lacey knew exactly what Mommy had in mind, because you came out with the most adorable haircut ever! You did an awesome job Mr. Buddha. You sat up in the chair all by yourself, watching Aunt Lacey's every move in the mirror. You and your sister completely cleaned Aunt Lacey out of soft mints during makeover sessions, such suckers!
Bodhi, you insisted on getting your haircut, and you too did a great job sitting still. Aunt Lacey braided your front bangs into a headband, and you looked so darling. You no longer have a mullet, and your hair is shaped into a cute little bob. Aunt Lacey got us all looking good, Mommy hopes our picture session goes as smoothly, Aunt Lacey was great with you two.
After primping, Mommy took you both home for a quick afternoon nap. The plan was for Mommy and Daddy to have a date night, using our gift card Grandmoo got Daddy for his birthday. Daddy redeemed one of his "babysitting coupons" so that we could go out ha/ha So after naps, you two went to Grandmoo's and Mommy and Daddy went to Cook McDoogal's for dinner and drinks down the road. Both Mommy and Daddy were tired, so our date was pretty short, but we did enjoy our "baby-less" time together. We came home, Daddy folded a load of laundry and Mommy cleaned our kitchen, then we took a quick nap. Mommy then came and picked you both up from Grandmoo's. You both were exhausted. Apparently, you two locked Grandmoo out of her house and she had to climb through her window with her bad back. Good grief! I can just see you two laughing at poor Grandmoo while she frantically climbed through the window :(
Mommy gathered you two stinkers up and took you home. You both were ready for bed, though you Mr. Buddha, required both Mommy and Daddy to rock you to sleep. Sweet dreams my sweet sweet babes!
