New Sights and Sounds

Bodhi, first thing this morning Mommy woke you up so that we could watch the house next door be torn down together.  Jude, you watched from inside in your bouncy seat while Daddy was reading.  Bodhi, we sat on the front porch bench.  You kept "oooooh'ing" and "awwwww'ing," it was so stinkin' cute!  Most of the morning we played downstairs, but once we went back up to your room to finish out the morning, you two were glued to the window watching the demolition.  It was so cute!  Bodhi, you always stand in your window, and well, Jude was fussing so Mommy sat him on the bed next you and I.   Jude, you then proceeded to pull yourself up so that you could stand at the window next to your sister.  When Mommy went downstairs to make lunch and then returned with food, I found you, Jude, standing in front of the toy box.  You had crawled or scooted across the room and stood yourself up.  Mommy thinks you are crawling, however, when Mommy is around, you fuss and hold your arms up for me to do all the work.

This afternoon, Jude, you would not stay asleep for anything.  Mommy would get you to sleep, but he minute I moved you to put you in your crib, you woke back up screaming crying.  Mommy even let you cry for a few minutes to see if you'd fall back asleep, but you didn't.  So, Mommy ended up taking a three hour nap with you.  Bodhi, you slept for four hours!!!!  Mommy was in a panic, I knew you two would either have to stay up late tonight, or you both would be up all night, and well, Mommy has a ton of finals and a final paper to complete.  However, Mommy gave you both a bath and then decided to see how you two would do in your room while Mommy got some work done.  Mommy put you, Jude, in Bodhi's  crib with some toys, and I turned on some cartoons for you, Bodhi to watch.  You both were so happy and content.  You both are usually asleep at this time, so the fact that you both were getting some extra play time, worked out wonderfully.  Thankfully, Mommy got you to sleep pretty quickly tonight Jude.  It took two attempts, but the 2nd try was a success.  :)

Mommy thought it would be important to mention; Sister Kelly sent Mommy a text to turn on the news last night... Mommy and Daddy turned on the news only to discover that OSAMA BIN LADEN had been killed by U.S. military forces.  The U.S. has been hunting Osama since September 11, 2001, after he took responsibility for the terrorist attacks on the Twin Towers in New York!  Osama was EVIL and he was responsible for many EVIL acts, but Mommy saw this quote, and I felt I should share it with you both:

"I mourn the loss of thousands of precious lives, but I will not rejoice in the death of one, not even an enemy. Returning hate for hate multiplies hate, adding deeper darkness to a night already devoid of stars. Darkness cannot drive out darkness: only light can do that. Hate cannot drive out hate: only love can do that." MLK

Bodhi fell back and sat on Buddha... they both then laughed hysterically

"Finally!"  "I can see again!"

Bath Time!
Bodhi, Mommy got your bath markers back out now that you are older.  You loved them :)

Mommy's little Artist ;)

Clean Babes!
Bodhi, look how horrible your bruise looks!  Mommy hopes it goes away in time for our 1st  family picture on the 14th!

Piggy, you have outgrown all of your p.j.'s, so Mommy had to put you in your sister's 2T's.

Bodhi, you didn't want to sit by your brother and Mommy on the couch, so you went and sat in the chair by yourself :(

Look how sweet you look!
