A Mellow Brick Road...: Elton John

Bodhi, your Speech Therapy appointment got cancelled because both she and Juders are sick. Mommy's friend that was going to look at our house this morning, scored Elton John tickets, so she had to re-schedule her tour. Mommy and Daddy did manage to make our early morning bank appointment, and Mommy also made the inspection on our new home :) GiGi went with Mommy to the inspection because she hadn't got to see the house yet. She loved it! Mommy was happy to get to see it again too :) The inspection turned out very well, a few minor issues that need to be addressed before closing, but I was told the house is a "tank" and solid. The floor boards, rafters, etc. are made with solid oak and maple, furniture grade wood. Mr. Phipps said they don't make houses like this anymore, and that the materials on this house, as well as all the updates are top notch. So, hopefully we'll be hearing from the sellers that the suggested repairs are acceptable. All the wiring is updated and in good shape, however, a live wire with the old knob and tube was found in a cove in one of the bedroom closets. It needs to be cut off or re-ran, but that it shouldn't be that big of an issue, and Mr. Phipps doubts the owners were even aware of it. He said that the house was unbelievably maintained :)nIt's going to be a great home for you both to grow up in :)

This afternoon, Bodhi, you didn't want to go down for your nap for Daddy, and Juders, Daddy could hardly keep you awake... you were waiting for Mommy to come home and put you down, otherwise you wouldn't have taken a very long nap. Jude man, you are breathing so horrible, you sound and look so bad. Mommy started to feel sick this afternoon too. Mommy decided that it was probably best if you and I stayed home while Daddy, GiGi, and Grandmoo took Bo to the Elton John concert. Juders you were so sad to see them leave without you, but in Buddha fashion, you sucked it up and blew them all goodbye kisses! It melted every one's heart, you precious lil' sucker! So, now Mommy is trying to get this blog done while watching you play. The plan to is to retire to bed early for some much needed rest. Mommy knows nothing could possibly happen to Bo with the three most protective people in the world with her HA! So this evening is strictly a Mommy and Jude evening, and Bodhi, you are in heaven surrounded by Daddy, GiGi, and Grandmoo with all attention on you!

Daddy has the camera and has promised Mommy that he will get some pictures of you guys at the concert! So, until tomorrow, Mommy has no pictures to post :( Mommy will also share your concert experience in tomorrow's post! I know GiGi and Grandmoo are going to get the biggest kick out of you, Bodhi!
