Uncle Tony's Birthday

Happy Birthday Uncle Tony (Bodhi and Jude he would be your Great Uncle Tony)!  Mommy wishes that he was still alive to see you both, he would be absolutely crazy about the two of you.  GiGi and Great Papaw in Tennessee, are probably really sad today.  Mommy and Daddy don't know how anyone survives a loss of a child.  GiGi's been depressed all week, so Bodhi after your doctor's appointment, Mommy took you over to surprise GiGi and cheer her up.  She loved seeing you and she missed you, Jude.  Jude, you stayed home with Daddy and slept while Mommy and Bodhi were out and about.

Bodhi, we finally made it to your eighteen month checkup.  After Mommy took you the wrong day last week, I was really stressed about getting you there today.  You were very standoffish with the nurse and the doctor.  Your doctor, Dr. Zentz, said he's not "freaked out" by you not talking, because you respond to commands, understand what we are saying, problem solve, pretend play, and you do say a few words.  However, he recommended that in a couple of months if you still refuse to talk, he would refer you to a speech therapist through First Steps.  He asked if Mommy wanted to do that now, or if I wanted to wait... again stressing that it was just a matter of time before you are a chatter box.  Mommy thinks you're just stubborn beyond belief, but I recommended that we get started sooner than later.  Bodhi, you weighed 28.7 pounds, are 33 inches tall, and your head has leveled off at 19.5 hee/hee.  Dr. Zentz checked your ears and said they were the best set of ears he's seen all day.  Mommy told him that you've been periodically pointing at your pee pee as if it was hurting you and grabbing your cheeks as if your teeth were also bothering you.  Dr. Zentz checked both your pee pee and your mouth and said that you didn't appear to have anything wrong down below, and you would have a major fever if you had a UTI.  Dr. Zentz didn't want to test you for a UTI because it's such an uncomfortable procedure and unnecessary if you didn't have any other symptoms.  Dr. Zentz also said your gums are swollen because you have some more major teeth getting ready to come in.

After your doctor's appointment Bodhi, you went with Mommy to GiGi's, Walmart, and Krogers.  We were gone for a total of five hours and you were a major trooper!  You didn't cry once, and you only got a little fussy when we were checking out at the grocery store.  This was understandable because you wet yourself through your diaper and you had to be uncomfortable.  Jude, Daddy put you down way to early, and you woke up when Mommy returned home.  You were so happy to see your Mommy.  Mommy got you up and fed you your first taste of real food, baby's first peas.  You weren't sure about it at first, but you swallowed three good bites and a few smaller bites.  Mommy wanted you to have your first taste of food on Uncle Tony's birthday :)  Afterwards, you went right to sleep after being nursed.  Bodhi, this is the second night in a row you said you wanted to go to bed, but screamed when Mommy and Daddy left you in your room.  We don't know what is going on with you, but you are definitely terrified about something? :(
