Spooky Day

Bodhi, you must have been feeling much better today because you were in an awesome mood.  Mommy and Daddy checked your mouth and saw that a new tooth broke through, so that must have something to do with it.  Your cheeks were still a little swollen but not too bad.  Jude, as soon as Mommy bragged on you, you of course had your first bad day in months.  You didn't sleep more than 20 minutes today, and you wanted to be held all day long.  You got lots of Mommy attention while Bodhi slept for three hours :)  Sister Kelly came by to see you both after she got off work.  She sat with you Jude, while Mommy took Bodhi on a walk with Grandmoo and the fuzzies.  Mommy thought it looked warm out all day long, but Mommy never bothered to go outside and check.  Mommy was bummed that we didn't get our walk in today, but once I took Bodhi outside, I knew instantly it was too cold for a stroller adventure!

Bodhi, Mommy took you and the boys to the field by the old steal mill, where Syndicate Sales is now located.  Grandmoo and Mommy have been taking the boys there for years.  You of course played in the dirty snow, mud, and brush.  You ran around collecting gas line flags, which marked the location of underground gas lines.  Mommy and Grandmoo didn't notice right away that you had pulled like four of them up...they have been there for a good two years, and Mommy and Grandmoo felt bad that you had removed them.  You also climbed the top of snow hills, Grandmoo says you are a dare devil.  Bodhi, you had a blast running and playing again today.  You cried when you had to go home.  Mommy and Grandmoo were afraid you were going to get frost bit.

Jude, during Bodhi's nap time today, you played in your bouncy for a while, you played with some toys while on your tummy, and you snuggled with Mommy.  Mommy went to put some clothes in the wash, and when I returned you had rolled from your tummy to your back.  You started crying, but Mommy got you laughing by telling you what a big strong boy you were :)  You fell asleep at 6pm tonight after nursing.  You didn't even get to try your first fruit tonight :(  Mommy has a feeling you are going to be up at 5am again, uggghh!

Bodhi, after dinner Mommy put you in the bath.  You had a good dinner and were excited about bath time.  However, this quickly changed and you got Mommy spooked.  While in the bath, you turned and pointed to the shower wall, no big deal.  Mommy asked "what," thinking to myself you were grossed out by a few long hairs that were stuck to the wall (Mommy's long hair sheds something fierce).  Well, you progressively became disturbed, pointing at the wall and grunting, you then started to scream and jumped out of the tub into Mommy's arms.  Mommy usually has to hoax you out of the tub, so I was alarmed to say the least.  Once out of the tub, you were shaking and you wouldn't let go of Mommy's leg as I let the water out of the tub.  I quickly got you dressed all the while you kept looking back at the tub and pointing.  Once you were dressed we exited the bathroom.  Mommy shut off the light and shut the door (you like to sneak into the bathroom and get into the soap stash).  As soon as Mommy shut the door and turned to face you, you pointed at the door with a frantic look on your face.  I instantly thought you wanted your barbie out of the basket and as soon as I went to open the door the blow dryer turned on.  Momma was freaked, but I didn't let on to you!  Mommy keeps the blow dryer plugged in and stored in a basket, and it's accidentally switched on before, but usually after using it and throwing it into the basket.  You wanted Mommy to hold you while I made your bottle for bed.  Honestly, Mommy didn't want to let on how freaked out I was, so I got you ready for bed as usual, but the truth is, Mommy didn't want to put you to bed.  Jude was already upstairs sleeping and Mr. Murff was acting strangely, so Mommy decided to go on with bedtime as usual.  Mommy doesn't really believe in the whole ghost/haunting phenomena, but you gave Mommy a scare.  Mommy didn't call Grandmoo to tell her because she knew Grandmoo would get scared, and Mommy knows what Grandmoo would jokingly say, "Bodhi and dogs must have drug a ghost back from the steel mill and the old abandoned buildings."  Mommy and Daddy always said when you were a little baby "Bodhi likes to communicate with the spirit world."  You always weirded us and everyone else out by the way you would stare up at the ceiling and walls and how you appeared to be looking at something flying around the room, all while smiling, and giggling.  : /

Happy Babes :)

Today was a NO NAP day hee/hee!  Today, thankfully, Mommy can laugh about it being a no nap day, because it turned out to be a great day.  Usually, Mommy feels like crying on days you both decide not to nap, but not today.  We took our longest walk ever and everyone was happy.  A fourth of the way through our walk, we had to call Daddy to come pick up Mr. Murff though.  He decided that if he went any further he wouldn't be able to make it back home.  He didn't understand when Mommy told him, "Mr. Murff, Daddy is going to pick you up once we reach GiGi's."  Mr. Murff just understood that the further we walked the further we had to walk back home.  Bodhi, you were a trooper despite your teeth/gum pain today.  The walk put you in a better mood, of course.  However, you were beside yourself when Mommy strolled you and your brother up to GiGi's and Gi-Pa Poncho's house.  GiGi really wanted to baby you today since you hadn't been feeling well.  So, Mommy surprised you by strolling you over to spend the afternoon with GiGi and Poncho.  Mommy takes doggy treats on our walking adventures (to feed all the dogs that might be in need of a snack) and you fed Chubs, GiGi's neighbor's dog several treats.  You adore Chubs and have become quite familiar with him during your day trips with GiGi.  You probably fed Chubs around ten treats, but he's far from chubby so it's okay.  You laughed and squealed when feeding him treats.  You would run up to the fence, feed him real serious-like, and then run back to the stroller to get another treat.  You did this, like I said, about ten times.  Jude you sat in the stroller smiling as Bodhi squealed and ran back and forth.  If that wasn't exciting enough for you, Bodhi,  you had the biggest smile on your face when you saw that Mommy was strolling Jude back home, that meant you had GiGi and Poncho all to yourself :)

Jude, we made it back home minus Mr. Murff and Bodhi.  You were super happy to have special one-on-one time with both Mommy and Daddy.  You didn't have your sister butting in and getting all jealous, stealing Mommy's and Daddy's attention ;)  Mommy cannot stress enough... you are ALWAYS happy Jude!  Mommy has to admit, this kind of scares me, it's almost too good to be true and I hope it continues through your toddler years hee/hee  Jude, you also finished the last of the stage one vegetables tonight, and tomorrow you'll get your first taste of fruits.  If you are anything like your sister, you will be hooked!

Bodhi, when you returned home, you were all smiles!  You were running around laughing and falling like a drunkard.  You were definitely ready for bed but more importantly you had a great day :)  Nighty Night sweet babes and sweet dreams!

Bodhi feeding Chubs treats ;) You are such an animal loving sweet baby girl!

Rosey Red Cheeks

Bodhi, you poor lil' chipmunk! Your cheeks were so swollen today.  They've been swollen for a couple days, but today was by far worse.   When you went to your eighteen month check-up the doctor noted that your gums were swollen from your teeth, and they've only gotten progressively worse.  You haven't had a fever, but you have been fussy and uncomfortable.  Mommy and Daddy have been giving you Tylenol to try to keep you comfortable.  Daddy tried looking up alternative causes for your swelling on the Internet, but he ended up getting a virus and crashing his computer :(  Daddy then called the on-call doctor who instructed us to give you some allergy medicine and make an appointment for you on Monday.  You laid on Mommy's lap cuddling tonight (which you never do).  You tried so hard to be happy and have fun, but it's obvious you didn't feel good.  You did seem to enjoy our walk today though, of course :)

Jude, Mommy and Daddy love how much you love your sister.  GiGi came by before going to church to see you both, and we all walked over to Grandmoo's house.  While at Grandmoo's, GiGi was holding you and Grandmoo held Bodhi down and you gave Bodhi kisses.  You both were laughing and squealing.  It was so adorable.  You laugh and smile when anyone talks to you or shows you any attention (and you get a ton of attention despite Bodhi's attempt to keep it to a minimum).  You have such an adorable smile and disposition.  Mommy and Daddy promise... your sister will adore you as much as you adore her one day!  You also seemed to enjoy your walk more than usual today.  You only became fussy toward the end because you were hungry, but luckily, Mommy packed you a bottle and then you were satisfied and back to your happy self.  It was one cold walk, but I think it made us all feel better at the time :)  We all had rosey red cheeks, even Mr. Murff, by the time we got back home.  Bodhi, you had huge rosey red cheeks!

Mommy and Daddy hope you start feeling better Bodhi.  It breaks our heart that you are hurting!

Daddy, Mommy, Bodhi, and Jude :)  No, Daddy didn't join us, just helped us out of the house!

Back Home With Our Babies!

Mommy and Daddy missed you both so much, you don't even begin to know!  Mommy was glad to get home and see you both.  When Mommy picked you, Jude, up from GiGi's, you were wearing the same outfit you wore yesterday hee/hee... GiGi liked it so well she washed it last night after putting you in your jammies, so you could wear it when Mommy arrived to pick you up today.  When Mommy first walked in, GiGi was trying to give you a bottle and you were fighting her not wanting to take it,  but when you saw Mommy you started smiling, laughing, and reaching out for me :)  You were so happy to see your Momma!!  GiGi and Gi-Pa Poncho said you are the best little guy, so happy the whole time.  They said the only difference between you and Bodhi is that Bodhi takes long naps and you don't.  GiGi did say that you slept through the night without any problems.  GiGi didn't get any sleep though, she was such a nervous wreck, worried that you would stop breathing.  She was up all night checking on you, making sure you were still breathing hee/hee.  When Mommy put you in the car to take you home, you immediately fell asleep.  Bodhi was taking her nap when we arrived home,  so, you, Mommy, and Bodhi all got to take a nap at the same time... good thing, because Mommy stayed out too late with her friends last night ;)

Bodhi, when you woke, you were squealing and carrying on.  Mommy rushed in your room with the camera to take your picture.  You had a look on your face like "just where have you been?"  Grandmoo said you were constipated, kept pointing at your pee pee and your jaw was swollen from your teeth coming in. Grandmoo kept medicine down you pretty regular and said you were good when you were feeling good.   Grandmoo said you slept from 9:30 p.m. to 6:00 a.m. this morning.  However, Mr. Murff and Mr. Arlo kept Grandmoo up all night.  Mommy doesn't know why they keep her up like they do.  Daddy came home early, and surprised us all.  Bodhi, you were super excited to see your Daddy!  Daddy showered you in hugs and kisses (Jude you were still napping, so Mommy also went back to sleep once Daddy got home).

When Grandmoo came back over to pick some of her things she forgot earlier, Bodhi you quickly clung to her and pointed outside.  Bodhi, you always try to bully Grandmoo into taking you outside.  You even try to open the door!  Well, Mommy and Daddy had a good time, but we sure did miss you both!

Bodhi just woke up from her nap, seeing her Momma for the first time in a day ;)

Bodhi making her funny face!  You close your eyes and make a goofy smile ;)

Missing You Both

Oh Babies, babies, babies!  Mommy is missing you sooo much, as I'm sure Daddy is missing you as well.  We are at this awesome hotel in downtown Indy. Bodhi, you are with Grandmoo, and Jude, you are with GiGi.  Your Daddy is in meetings right now, and your Momma is about to meet up with some friends.  Mommy called and checked on you both, and talked to each of you on the phone.  Mommy's heart was breaking hearing both of your little squeaks and grunts as I talked to you :( Grandmoo and GiGi both report that your guy's naps were a little off, but otherwise, everything is going well!  Mommy sure hopes this evening goes well for the both you.  Mommy and Daddy love and miss you both!!! Hugs and Kisses!  xoxoxoxox

 Look at that attitude hee/hee

Really?  Devil get out of ma baby!!

Wow, you were in rare form this morning... I think you knew Mommy and Daddy were up to something ;)

Already Missing You

Bodhi, Mommy submitted two pictures of you to Adam Duritz for the cover contest for his Valentines Album, "All My Bloody Valentines" at 2:00 a.m. this morning.   You looked so cute in your pics, however, Mommy thinks he may have ended the contest early because he didn't post any of the pictures today.  Bodhi, you were absolutely a Daddy's girl today.  When Daddy is home for the day with us, you act so fussy and whiney...this drives Mommy bonkers!  However, we did have fun when I was chasing you, but then I had to take Jude to bed and nurse him and when I returned you didn't want anything to do with me.  Jude you were happy as usual.  Mommy got you belly laughing for like 15 minutes straight, just by tickling and talking funny to you.

Mommy has been talking to GiGi and Grandmoo all day about where each of you will be staying tomorrow while Mommy and Daddy are out of town.  Grandmoo and GiGi can't make up their minds about who will be easiest for Grandmoo to care for while taking care of Mr. Murff, Mr. Arlo, Mommy Kitty, and Baby Kitty.  Grandmoo has a bad back, neck, and hips and she doesn't get around very well some days.  Also, she adopted two kitties (Grandmoo hates cats so this is quite humorous to everyone) and well, she fusses about them coming & going, along with other unwanted critters.  See Grandmoo has a kitty door and though the door is suppose to make life easier for pet owners, it only complicates things for Grandmoo because she's so paranoid that a stray cat or a possum will come in her house as well.  Not to mention Baby Kitty and Mommy Kitty like to drag dead animals in her sun room after they have hunted.  As it stands Grandmoo is keeping you Bodhi so you can sleep in your own bed and because Jude your allergies are so bad, and GiGi will be keeping you Jude.  Mommy is going with Daddy to stay in Indianapolis for Daddy's work.  It's just an overnight stay but it's turned out to be stressful for everyone.  Mommy and Daddy will miss you both so much!  Jude, this will be your first overnight visit away from home (and more importantly, your Momma)!  Bodhi, you didn't stay overnight away from home until Mommy and Daddy went to the hospital to have Jude.  You stayed with GiGi and Poncho for three days.  Mommy hopes everyone is happy tomorrow! :)
