Bye Bye Binky!

Emilia Bodhi, you ended up coming and sleeping with Momma at about 1:30 a.m. this morning, and that's after you went to bed at about 11 p.m.  The thunderstorms woke you and you got scared.  Daddy, after sleeping all day, was up all night working, so we had the bed to ourselves Bodhi :)  6:30 a.m. came too soon this morning.  Bodhi, you popped up and were wide awake!  You were actually in a decent mood too.  Mommy turned on your cartoons and got in the shower.  After Mommy took a shower, we woke Bubby up.  He was so happy to see us, he's always so happy (well so long as he's not hungry or tired).  Anyway, Bubby Buddha popped up in his crib with a big smile on his face and started chanting "Bo Bo!"  "Bo Bo!"  Bodhi, you thought this was so funny and started repeating Mommy, "Good morning sunshine!"   After everyone was dressed, you two headed to Aunt Ti's with Daddy.  Mommy stayed behind to begin working from home.  What was supposed to be a short day, turned into a long day.  Mommy's friend, Dianna Spray, told Mommy to call her dad to see about finishing up the little painting that was left (which Mommy couldn't get to.  So Ron, Dianna's very kind dad, finished the painting (for a reasonable price).  He was also going to replace your ceiling fan, Jude :)  He didn't make it to that project though and he scheduled to come back Wednesday.

Mommy picked you two up this evening.  You two were waiting at the door for Momma.  Aunt Ti had been a worried anxious mess all day.  Your pacifier had a tear in it Bo!  Aunt Ti was worried you were going to bite it off and choke, so she kept a close eye on it.  When Mommy arrived Aunt Ti provided Mommy with some much needed moral support with weaning you off of the paci (again).  Mommy had you almost completely weaned about six months ago, but Daddy gave in and you fell off the wagon.  Aunt Ti, when you weren't looking, cut the rest of your paci off bhahahahaha!  Mommy gave it to you and you screamed your little heart out!  Aunt Ti asked if we had another one in the car, because you were breaking our hearts, but we didn't so Mommy decided tonight was the night.  We are going to get you off the paci aka binky.  There's a Gummy Bear song about the binky hee/hee you love that song!  We won't be listening to it anytime soon.

Once home Mommy was getting you both dressed in your pajamas when the door bell rang.  It was Grandpa Kurt.  Mommy was going to text him and ask where he's been, but I didn't have to!  Grandpa Kurt played with you two, blowing bubbles, tickling, etc... Grandpa Kurt was wearing the shirt that you, Bodhi, picked out for him for Christmas.  Yep, a blue shirt hee/hee  Daddy arrived home after 7 p.m. but we stayed upstairs playing until Buddha's bedtime.  You were ready to go to sleep Buddha!  Mommy rocked you for a good half hour.  Mommy missed you and your sister so much today!  Bodhi, you ate some snacks with Daddy and Grandpa Kurt downstairs :)  After Grandpa Kurt left, Mommy went to do a drop-in on a client and return some shoes at Target that were too big for you, Bodhi.  When Mommy returned home, you and Daddy were cuddled up on the couch passed out.  You didn't have a paci in your mouth!!!!  Mommy carried you upstairs and tucked you into bed.  Mommy then came back downstairs and gave Daddy a high five for not giving in and getting you to sleep :)

Sweet dreams my sweet sugar butts!  Momm.y misses you when you guys are away all day.  I love you two so much, as does Daddy.  xoxoxox

Mommy is so stinkin' tired, too tired to re-read this post.  Hopefully it makes sense.  There are days when I re-read the blog from the previous day, and wow, I have no idea what  I was thinking

Mommy's Sweet Sunday Babes :)

You two woke up on the sweet side of the bed this morning, and your sweet dispositions lasted all throughout the day :)  Mommy told Daddy to sleep-in and boy did he sleep... all day, all afternoon, and into the late evening.  Daddy obviously needed some extra rest, so Mommy is glad he took the opportunity to rest up.  Daddy works so hard!

This morning Mommy got you two up, dressed, and fed and then our playtime began!  Grandmoo and GiGi stopped in to play with us.  We ran all over the house playing hide-n-go-seek.  Jude, you were the "all-time finder" hee/hee.  Mommy and you ran all over the house searching for Bodhi, Grandmoo, and GiGi.  Even Mr. Arlo got in on the action.  However, Mr. Arlo was giving every one's hiding spots away hee/hee.  After playing, Mommy fed you two lunch and we played some more.  Mommy was hoping you two would poo prior to nap time hee/hee  and you both did.  Mommy put you down for your naps, and you two had no interruptions.  Bodhi, while you were napping Mommy put your table together for your bedroom.  When you woke and saw it, you said "oooooh blue Momma!"  You loved it!  And it looks absolutely adorable :)

This evening Mommy had to work for an hour, but I returned home with chicken bites and apple dippers, yummmo!  You two ate dinner and then Mommy threw you two in the bath.  Bath time is always a hoot!  Bodhi, for the first time ever, you attempted to touch your Bubba's little Bubba.  Mommy had to quickly explain that we don't touch each other's privates.  You started saying "Mommy no touch privates."  Mommy explained that you will go blind if you touch other's privates :)-  After baths, vitamins, and brushing our teeth, we played for a while longer until you, Buddha, began to get fussy.  You were ready to go night night.  Bodhi, you curled up in your bed to watch cartoons while Mommy rocked Bubby to sleep.  It's 11:30 p.m. and Bodhi, you are still awake.  Mommy was assembling my new craft room table when you decided you wanted to help.  You were such a good helper and did exactly what Mommy instructed you to do, while giggling.  Daddy came upstairs and saw you, Bodhi, helping Mommy and decided he needed to capture the moment with the camera :)

Mommy had a wonderful day with you two sweet love bugs!  Sweet Dreams my sweet babes.  Tomorrow is a half day at Aunt Ti's :)

Mommy made you a new bow hanger today Bodhi.  I added ribon to the back of the "E" and two long strands of ribbon to hang your bows on.  You LOVED it!  It made Mommy so happy that you loved it :)

"Let me give it a try."

"Ok, I see here... the plugs don't have to be used and they're supposed to be used with "H2" the big screws."

Wacky Weather & A Wacky Duo

Our weather here in the Midwest is incredible, freezing last night, significant snow-ice storm system came through. Daddy was up quite early, along with our beautiful little Bodhi who joined us in bed around 4:30 a.m. Daddy looked outside and saw there was significant snow in our shared drive and respective drive-way parking areas, and decided to get up and start shovelingJ. Marian and Barry and their family happily have done so several times for all of us, so I figured I was already up and had a few hours until I had to get to work, so I gave it a go. Whew! Two hours later, Daddy had made a pretty good dent in our shared drive and both parking areas but had to stop to get to work.
When Daddy got home, Mommy had the two of you dressed, fed, and up playing and as lunch approached we both contributed to getting the two of you fed; you were still a little fussy today, Bodhi, but you were happy-go-lucky as usual Jude. After lunch, we got the two of you down for a nap and Mommy had some work to be done and Daddy stayed home and got some work done as well.
We had planned to go to Indy today as a family and were looking forward to an adventure. While the two of you slept, Grandmoo came over and delivered your trundle bed twin mattress (and a replacement coffee cup Mommy had left the original on top of the pickup truck as she drove away…doesn’t work well) Bodhi and was excited about seeing the two of you and seeing your bedroom, Bodhi, but she didn’t want to waken either of you. She brought both of you an apple and a Popsicle, so she “drew” a note to each of you, telling you she loved you and about your treatsJ.
After the two of you got up from your nap, we prepared to go on our adventure. We decided to stop by Grandmoo’s house and return some hand lotion Mommy got for Grandmoo, and the two of you got so excited to see Grandmoo it became obvious the two of you wanted to stay with her and abandon the adventure with Mommy and DaddyJ.
Grandmoo “volunteered” to take the two of you wacky characters on, so Mommy and Daddy made a run to Indianapolis on our own while the two of you enjoyed pure heavenJ. You two were yelling "Mamaw" and "Grandma" while holding little arms out for her... she couldn't help but to keep you both :)  Grandmoo fed the two of you dinner, which you helped make, Bodhi, and played with you until Mommy and Daddy got back into town and picked the two of you up around 8:30 p.m. By then, both of you were ready for “night, night” so we returned to our beautiful home and put the two of you to bed.
Mommy had to go out to work for a while, but as soon as she returned she and Daddy were not far behind the two of you in snuggling in for the nightJ. Sweet dreams, you wacky duo—you are loved beyond words and beyond the universe…
And, oh yes, tomorrow it will be around 50 degrees. Indiana, oh Indiana…
Little Buddha teasing Momma :)  You love your Momma :)

"I can't help being a ham Momma!"

Our sweet baby boy!

OOOOooh... Daddy letting Bodhi sneak a sip of pop!  BUSTED!

"My Daddy is the BEST!"

You two love to eat at Grandmoo's on the stools :)

"Look what I made Grandmoo!"

This picture of you Buddha cracks me up!  Typical Jude man... trying to do to much :)

PS  Grandmoo took several pictures hee/hee but only a few where your heads weren't chopped off!

Winter’s Back

Today was cold, cold, cold…and the threat of severe winter weather was active when we all awakened to start the day. Daddy has early morning classes on Tuesdays and Fridays, so this morning Mommy drove the two of you to Aunt Ti’s after Mommy and Daddy got the two of you bundled up and safely secured in Mommy’s car. So, away you went after several Daddy goodbye kissesJ!
Daddy had to get to school and Mommy had to get to work, so the two of you spent an entire day with Aunt Ti & CompanyJ. A later report indicated you had a very fun day and that you assisted Aunt Ti in baking a cakeJ.
When Mommy got off work, she returned home to get some needed work done there, and late in the afternoon Daddy had to make a trip to Carmel to get Mommy’s car serviced. The predicted storm hadn’t yet arrived in full force, still Daddy witnessed several vehicles which had gone off the road on his trip to and from Carmel. Daddy didn’t return home until early evening so Mommy and Daddy shared a fast dinner together, then Daddy drove to Aunt Ti’s to pick the two of you up and bring you home.
Daddy was so exhausted from a very long week of trying to resist the flu bug which made everyone else sick and trying to keep up with his work that by the time we were all settled in at home, Daddy literally fell asleep on your bedroom floor Bodhi. Mommy gave the two of you a bath and Daddy wanted to spend some time with you before you each went to bed, but it was Daddy who fell asleep first! The two of you had a blast taking your bath and are simply adorable to watch as you play and interact with one another; it is love and happiness in action!  Bodhi, you laugh hysterically when Momma tells Jude, “Bubba don’t play with your penis, you’ll go blind,”  when the two of you share a bath.  You then say, “No Bubba, blind!”
Daddy awakened to the voice of Mommy’s friend, Gabby, visiting and finally got up off the floor and went to bed. Mommy took care of getting the two of you settled in for the night, then visited with Gabby. Daddy loves rocking you to sleep, Buddha, and loves spending time with you before bedtime, Bodhi, so Daddy was disappointed in being so exhaustedL.
Tomorrow, we will take inventory of the overnight winter storm, and tentatively we are planning an adventure together in Indy---Daddy is hoping to talk Mommy in to eating at “our” favorite cafeteria in Carmel, the MCL cafeteria, but we’ll have to wait and see if that plan comes togetherJ.
Sleep tight and don’t let the winter bed bugs bite, we have had enough of “the bug” around here! Love and Peace! J !

It started off an ordinary day...

Getting geared up to bake a cake :)

You were super excited to help Aunt Ti bake :)

Baking is hard work!

"A little bit of this..."

"Stir it up!"

Waiting for a piece of cake :)

And waiting some more!

"Time to check the oven!"

Breakfast For Dinner and Still On the Trail of Recovery...

Another day and still on the trail of recovery. You both slept well through the night, which Mommy and Daddy took as a hopeful sign you both are recovering from the bug, but Bodhi you were cranky beyond belief this morning. You clearly are still not feeling well!  Aunt Ti reported that you were good for her, but she could tell you still weren’t feeling well.  You went from having diarrhea yesterday, to being constipated today.  Mommy did the same thing, stupid bug!
Daddy got the two of you transported to Aunt Ti’s before going in to work, and Mommy was off to another full day herself. She finished up in the afternoon and picked the two of you up and got you safely home, we had quite a slick, snow storm today!  Bodhi, you finally had a major poo during nap time, and you weren't asleep very long, but you never did go back to sleep.  Buddha, you struggled, but eventually you went to sleep.
Daddy didn’t get home until after 6:00 p.m. this evening and Mommy was preparing dinner (breakfast for dinner) for everyone, while Daddy hurried in to get hugs and kisses from two baby angels. Mommy’s oven is still recovering from the fire yesterday, so Mommy decided to make all breakfast foods.  Guess who was still as cranky as can be, Bodhi? Daddy tried everything to make you feel better, including getting some medicine from Mommy for you. You seemed to perk up a little when it was time for dinner, but that didn’t last longL. Buddha, you on the other hand, ate a healthy dinner, happily so for the recordJ. And after dinner, you and Mommy played Buddha while your sister fell asleep on the couch.  Buddha, when Daddy says you ate a healthy dinner, he means two fried eggs, half of a bagel, four sausage patties, and four mini pancakes!!!!!  You LOVE eggs!
After getting you down for the night, Buddha, Mommy had to run out to the Target store, while Daddy tried to get some reading done while sitting on the couch with your sister while she slept. You are both so incredibly precious, Daddy simply doesn’t have the words to capture how blessed we are!
So, busy night ahead, the two of you are sleeping, Mommy moved you to your bed Bodhi, and then began working on Grad homework.   It has been quite a week, still not over, and still on the trail of recovery…
Love to all!

Buddha, you helped Mommy clean-up the after dinner mess, vacuum, and then we ran all over the house and got out the bowling pins :)

You love to bowl ;)

"Look Momma, I knocked one over, YAY!

Pretty boy ;)

Bodhi, you passed out just after dinner around 6:00 p.m., and slept the rest of the evening away :(  Hope you feel better tomorrow!
