Hugs for One Another

Bodhi and Jude you played so well together today.  Bodhi, you started off a little hesitant about sharing, but you eventually liked all the praise Mommy gave you when you would hand bubs a toy.  Bodhi, you even gave Jude a hug today and you giggled hysterically when you went to give him a kiss and he opened his mouth ;)  Mommy loved all the sugar you spread around today Bodhi.  You were very needy for your Momma today, and Mommy does not mind one bit.  Usually you are so independent and you definitely don't like to be loved on.  However, Mommy may have cheated... Mommy would give Jude a kiss and sherbet his tummy, and then you wanted Mommy to do it to you.  If Mommy would have started with you, you certainly wouldn't have enjoyed it near as much.  Jude you again, gazed out Bodhi's window, looking at the small snow flakes.  You seemed mesmerized by all the bright white snow on the ground.   Also Jude, for the last couple of days you have been smacking your lips and making this super loud sucking noise (when you aren't nursing) and today you did it all day long.  It is the funniest thing ever!  Mommy is going to have to video tape you doing this.  Oh, and Bodhi, we marked your eighteen month height on the door frame of your room.  Mommy is going to have to make something creative to track you and Jude's height that can be removed from the wall if ever we decide to move.  You looked shocked when Mommy wrote on the wall, and you tried your darnedest to get your chance to write on the wall with the pen as well :) Such a stink pot!

Look how sweet you two are smiling at each other :) Love it!

Split Shift

Bodhi and Jude, you spent the first half of the day with Mommy and the second half of the day (in the evening) with your Grandmoo.  Today, was our usual routine of playing, feeding, and changing diapers (over and over again).  Jude, it was snowing so hard all day long, and you noticed and spent some time watching it out Bodhi's window while she played.  You both went to Grandmoo's so Mommy could work on taxes and homework, and so that Daddy could work on his work.  Bodhi, you lasted two hours before having a complete melt-down.  You were crying and pointing at Grandmoo's water heater when it kicked on, anytime Grandmoo had to pick Jude up you would start crying, and you wouldn't eat for Grandmoo.  Mommy had to go over and try to get you to eat.  You eventually ate for both of us, but your mood didn't improve, you were tired.  Mommy, again,  had to return to bring you back home.  You wanted to go to bed at 6:30 p.m., well actually earlier than that, but you came home and went straight to bed at 6:30 p.m.  You did get up early this morning, but still!  Jude, you were great and acted great.  You did reach out for Mommy to pick you up when I was trying to get Bodhi to eat.  You lasted three and half hours before coming home and going to bed.  You looked exhausted!  Grandmoo had put her socks on both of your arms and legs to keep you warm when returning home.  You looked so funny :)

PS Happy Birthday Bodhi!  You are eighteen months old today, Mommy can hardly believe it.  I'm so proud of you!

Mommy snuck up on you after you woke from your nap Bodhi :)

Mommy and Daddy love seeing your happy face after naps!

Rock'n and Roll'n

We started our day by going through all of your clothes Bodhi and Jude.  Bodhi, you really enjoy this task.   You inevitably make twice as much work for Mommy by messing up piles, taking clothes out of the closet, and spreading the hangers all over your bedroom, but we eventually got everything organized.  Jude, you get very anxious when we're cleaning out the clothes because you lay on the floor near Mommy,  having some tummy time, and your sister whizzes by you throwing clothes and dropping hangers like a mad woman. This scares you as we all know she likes to "accidentally" step on you.

After naps, we all played with toys.  Kelly came by, and of course Bodhi you suckered her into allowing you to play the Gummy Bear song on her phone.  Bodhi you rocked out to the Gummy Bears, as usual!  Jude, you were very close to rolling tonight.  I think maybe the jeans you were wearing gave you the leverage you needed, as you grabbed hold of them to roll yourself onto your side.  Jude you were also sticking your tongue out all day and spitting everywhere.  This is the first time you've done this and you did it all day long.

You both were in excellent moods for a second day in a row.  Bodhi, for the most part you were very sweet toward your brother, that is until the end of the night... You put your foot on him as if you were going to step on him, and you also stole back (by way of ripping out of Jude's hands and interlocked fingers) your barbie he was enjoying loving on.  Bodhi, you did however feed bubs his bottle without getting mad at him.  Both you and Jude also enjoyed Mr. Murff kisses, Mr. Murff, for whatever reason, was very interested in cleaning your guys' ears.

China Doll and Buddha

YAY!  Today was a good day :)  Bodhi your fussing was kept t0 a minimum up until you were ready to go to bed, and Jude you were back to your typical happy self today.  Both of your napping schedules are back on track as well.  Bodhi, you wore a special oriental "china doll" outfit that your Great Great Uncle Dan from Tucson, Arizona bought for you before you were born.  This must have brought you some good Karma because you were in a such a good mood.  Mommy has been anxious to put you in it for the longest time, but you were too small until now... never mind that you are wearing 2T's at the age of one and half, and have been for the last six months ;)  You looked so stinkin' cute.  Jude, buddy, you need some new outfits soon!  You are growing way too fast!  You are officially in nine-twelve months at the age of four months.  You are definitely going to be one big boy!

This afternoon, Mommy read several books to you both.  Jude you showed more of a interest in the actual book rather than Mommy today. You would touch the pages and you even managed to turn a couple.  Bodhi, we continue to work on sign language with you, since you refuse to talk (just like your Great Great Uncle Dan I might add).  Mommy truly believes Jude will talk before you.  You can now sign (correctly) "please," "thank you," "drink," and "more."  Until recently, Mommy had only taught you please (incorrectly).  Mommy made her own sign for please since she didn't know how to sign, but Mommy's friend, Amanda (Mia's and Ava's Mommy) gave us sign language flash cards so you were retrained.  You've picked up on the signs we've worked on quickly.  You are now working on signing, "Mommy," "Daddy," "Grandmoo," "Grandpa," "brother," "cat," "dog," "eat," "sleep," "bath," and "all done."  Jude, you started pulling your feet to your chest, belly laughing (a new sounding laugh), and making this really funny scream all day today.  You spit-up several times, but I think the medicine worked today, unlike yesterday, it didn't seem to bother you:)  Bodhi, before going to bed, your sister, Kelly, sat you on the potty to see if you would finish going #2 ... you didn't but you didn't mind sitting on the potty either, which is a great thing!

Cry Babies Cry

Mommy and Daddy don't know why you both had such a hard time today.  You both would be so happy one minute and then crying hysterically the next.  Mommy read several books to you both, over and over again.  Today was definitely a book day.  Bodhi you like to flip the pages before Mommy is finished reading the page and Jude you watch Mommy read the entire time and smile when Mommy glances over at you.  I think you get a kick out of her funny voices.  Jude, you took forever to get down for a nap this afternoon.  You just couldn't get comfortable.  Bodhi, you didn't sleep more than a hour and a half, and usually you are out for two and half to four hours.

When Mommy was making you dinner, Bodhi, you cried and cried.  Mommy asked if you wanted to go to bed and you nodded yes.  It was only 6pm, so Mommy decided to turn on your television and allow you to watch the movie, "Bolt," from your crib.  Mommy, checked on you a half hour later and you were standing in your crib.  So, Mommy got you out and sat you in the glider, you were very content with this for about a half hour, but after that you started crying and Daddy went and sat with you.  Mommy and Daddy think your teeth are really bothering you.  Mommy gave you Tylenol to help with the pain.  Jude, you went right to sleep after being nursed.  Mommy thinks your allergies are still making you itch, despite starting allergy medicine.  You have a bit of a rash on your chest :(  Hopefully, tomorrow will be a better day for you both.

 Very Unhappy Bodhi butt!

Jude you love to sit in the high chair and watch Mommy in the kitchen ;)

Mommy got Bodhi to smile... just have to sing "Who let the dogs out..."

Mommy and Daddy should have kept you in the high chair all day ;)

Pajamas and Pizza

Today was a pretty good day for you both.  We all stayed in our pajamas for the entire day.  Jude you started your stomach medicine, for gas, and you seemed much more relaxed and happy (hard to believe you could be any happier than you normally are).  Bodhi, I think you are getting your molars in because you kept grabbing your cheeks, but despite that, you weren't too fussy.  The "Big Storm" as Daddy calls it, consisted of sleeting most of the day.  We still haven't got the anticipated 10-15 inches of snow yet.  Mommy and Daddy decided to order pizza for dinner rather than cooking, Bodhi you LOVE pizza :) After dinner Bodhi, when Mommy was reading a bedtime story to you, you became disturbed by the ice hitting your windows.  You scared Mommy by crying and pointing to your window, located behind your Momma.  At first, Mommy thought you saw someone standing behind Mommy hee/hee but Mommy eventually figured it out.  Mommy had to take you downstairs and outside to see the sleet up close so you'd hear and see what was causing the noise.  You were okay after that and went right to sleep, early for the third night in a row.  Mommy and Daddy can't get over the fact that you tell us when you want to go to bed.  You lay your head with your hands under your head on a pillow and then you grunt and point upstairs :) You are too stinkin' cute.  Jude, you hunkered down with Daddy to watch college basketball in bed.  You looked so comfy and happy laying there in Daddy's arms.
