Is it time to go to GiGi's & Gi-Pa's yet?

From the minute you two awakened until 4pm this early evening, it was non-stop, "Is it time to go to GiGi's and Gi-Pa's yet?" "Mommy can we go to GiGi's and Gi-Pa's now?" You both were in cheery moods, Mommy knows it was because you both were super excited to spend an evening with GiGi and Gi-Pa.  You two played and ran around while Mommy quickly vacuumed all the dog hair up downstairs. After a quick sweep, two meals, and lots of lovin's and play time, you two went down for a nap. Mommy's work again got pushed back a couple hours, surprise, surprise.  Daddy had a late class, so you two would be with GiGi and Gi-Pa from 4pm to 9pm (lots of play time).

Mommy got home after working in Lafayette until 8:45 p.m.and after making an expensive stop for pull-ups and diapers ($75.00) for three boxes, good grief!  Mommy also grabbed some dollar Valentines crafts from Target's dollar isle :)  and headed home.  Buddha, you came running into the kitchen, "Mommy, Momma, Mommy!"  Bodhi, you were already in bed.  Mommy rocked you to sleep Jude Liam, and then gave you nighty night lovin's Bodhi.  When Mommy walked into your room, Bodhi, you said, "Ohhh Mommy, I love you."  :)

I'm certain you two had a blast with GiGi and Gi-Pa!  Jude, as soon as Daddy walked in the door you said, "I don't like you."  GiGi actually corrected you!

Mommy will let the pictures tell the story of your evening with GiGi and Gi-Pa :)

Sweet Dreams!

You two were so funny first thing this morning...just decided to sit at your table in Jude's room, having a nice brother/sister conversation ha/ha :)

Looks like you two did a little light cleaning, without your pants :)-

Yep, definitely pantless cleaning session :)

Played with dolls :)

Some exercise :)

Ugggggh!

There's no other way to describe today other than "bad day."  However, all of our family and friends are still breathing,so it wasn't that bad of a day, just one of those days you look forward to saying goodnight to.  Daddy was on edge, Mommy was on edge, you two were crazy little demon children ha/ha, not really, just defiant and angry :/

Anyway, everyday spent with the two of you is a blessing, but here's to forgetting most of today...THE END!

Sweet sweet dreams!

PS We did manage to do a Valentines Day craft project, but even that didn't raise our spirits!

Bodhi, you at your worst ... still sweet!  You get the raw end of a bad day.  Sorry sweet girl!

Stinker butt!

Mommy's Work Day

Not often, but some days I find myself saying to myself, "boy it would be so nice to be at work today".  However, you two HATE when Mommy has to work.  You guilt trip Momma like no other! Even when you are excited about seeing Grandmoo and/or GiGi and Gi-Pa, you both manage to sneak some major guilt in on Momma, and Momma feels horrible leaving you.

Mommy was supposed to have a long work evening in Lafayette, but it got shorten last minute (it always happens).  However the timing worked out great, you two were able to get a two hour nap in before going to Grandmoo's.  Buddha, you were the first to awaken.  You came and got Mommy and asked real serious, "Mommy, it's time to go to Grandmoo's right?"  You were such a happy boy and oh so serious hee/hee

Mommy got you completely dressed, the car packed, and then we went to fetch your sister.  Luckily, she got her nap out and was happy that we were waking her.  Bodhi, you gave Mommy a kiss and got dressed without a fuss.  As we were leaving Daddy stopped home between jobs.  He gave you two lovin's and then we were off.  You both were super excited to arrive at Grandmoo's, both of you took a princess dress ha/ha  Daddy picked you two up at 9pm, Mommy was still at work.  Mommy sent Daddy a text to report to you both that I picked you both up a little gift, that I love you to the moon and back, and that we'll be doing a fun craft tomorrow :)  When Mommy finally arrived home, Bodhi, you were in bed, and Buddha, Daddy was rocking you.  Mommy walked into your room and your said, "Mommmmmy!"  Mommy took over rocking ha/ha  After I was done showering you with kisses, hugs, and I love you's, I couldn't resist checking in on Bodhi.  Bodhi, you were laying down but you weren't asleep :)  You said "Hiiiiiii Mommy!"  "You love me so much, you missed me!"  Hee/hee Daddy did his job :)

Mommy will have to get an update from Grandmoo tomorrow as to how your evening went, since Daddy picked you up...he never gets details!

Sweet dreams!

Well, it looks like Grandpa stopped by Grandmoo's and you guys played a game :)

Getting groovy with it!

Visitors

We played, we had time-outs after time-outs, we even had a few spanks (for you Mr. Buddha), but then it was nap time...THANK GOODNESS!  Well, nope!  You two decided not to nap.  Mommy however decided to take some time to work on craft projects and mandated that you two play nice with one another for a whole hour ha/ha!  No nap days can be rough, but even more so when you two are being stink pots.

Grandpa had told us that he would be bringing Great Grandma Penny by around 3pm today.  You two were non-stop, "Where's Grandpa, is he not coming," "where's Grandma Penny, is she not coming," well, four hours later they finally arrived!  Grandpa had called and Bodhi, you let him have it, "Grandpa, are you not coming?"  When he told you they were on their way, you changed your tune, "Grandpa, I really love my Hello Kitty you gave me."  Ha/ha!

When Great Grandma arrived, you two gave her her Christmas gifts.  She loved her gifts and you Ms. Bodhi asked Grandpa and Grandma Penny, "will you play come down here and play with me?"  Grandma Penny said, "why?"  Bodhi, you responded, "ummm because I love you."  Grandma Penny said, wow, who could refuse that!  You two show boated and played for a good couple of hours.  Buddha, you were getting out of hand, especially since you didn't nap today :(  So, bedtime came early and Mommy did a celebratory dance hee/hee  You two went right to bed.  Sweet dreams my sweet sweet sweet no-nap cranky babes :)

PS Mommy took pictures of two of our furry critters early in the day, and forgot to take pictures of you two little stink pots.

Carly on our neighbor's roof.

Ms. Allie takes naps when you two nap :)  She didn't get to nap very long today :(

She managed to get a cat nap in hee/hee

With A Little Help From Bob Dylan

Mommy by nature, lacks patience and becomes flustered easily.  However, Mommy learned a while back, if I just have some music going...everything is better, everything is manageable, everything is more tolerable ha/ha  So, this morning, like most mornings, I turned on some music.  Today however, was Bob Dylan from morning until evening :)  Daddy declared being out of commission first thing this morning, stating he was now sick.  Mommy felt those flustered feelings coming on, knowing that today was going to be a struggle.  When Daddy's home but sleeping or not wanting to be bothered, Mommy goes bonkers.  You two don't understand nor do you accept... Daddy being home, but not being home.  It's much easier when Daddy's not home, because you two understand that :) So, Mommy cranked the Bob Dylan up, made french toast, and we had a sweet morning breakfast together.

Bodhi, you had asked Mommy last night if you and brother could paint.  You didn't forget.  After breakfast, Mommy stripped your shirts off and you two got to it.  You both painted paper and your bodies, all while having an absolute blast.  Bodhi, Mommy also promised that you could play with your new bath time Mermaid in the bath tub this morning.  So after our huge painting mess, Mommy threw you both straight into the tub.  The water literally turned mud colored ha/ha.  After baths we played, you two helped Mommy do laundry, feed the dogs, and clean the kitchen.  We had soup for lunch and then headed to sleepy town for an afternoon nap.  Mommy even decided to take a nap, but not before first venturing out on our roof, in the rain, to remove our Christmas lights.  Mommy got those suckers down in record time.  Mommy also managed to squeeze in a nap.  Mommy was asleep for about 20 minutes when you, Buddha, decided you were done sleeping, of course!  Mommy wrestled around with you, you were extra lovey, giving lots of kisses :)  And then we got up to finish the laundry, pack the Christmas lights away, and start dinner.  You are always attached to Mommy's hip in the evenings, who am I fooling, most mornings too.

Bodhi, you awakened after a late nap.  Mommy woke you twice before you decided to get up...looks like it's going to be another late night :(  We all ate together, a spaghetti and meatball dinner :)  Bodhi you boasted, "Mommy, you are the best Mommy in the world."  Which is the first time you have ever said that, melted my heart, especially during dinner time when usually you both are like "Ewwww Momma!"  Ha/ha!

This evening we ran around the house, Mommy managed to clean while you two ran from room to room. You both even cleaned all your toys up by yourselves (which is nothing new) but did so in time for me to vacuum your rooms :)  We then played dodge ball tag ha/ha I LOVE IT!   We ended our night with story and then it was off to nighty night town.

Well, so I thought!  Bodhi, you are sitting right beside Mommy.  It's 11pm, and you are hungry, ugggh!

PS we listened to Mommy's favorite Bob Dylan cd at least four times today ha/ha :)

Brother and Sister smooch, smearing paint on each other ha/ha

Junk Food Saturday

Our morning flew by and before we knew it, it was 11am...time for Grandpa to come over and an hour before the IU game.  Grandpa had been sick, and then we had been sick, but today was your Christmas with Grandpa.  Grandpa bought you, Bodhi, a huge Hello Kitty and a bath time Mermaid that changes color in the bath.  Buddha, you got a kick-ass Nerf gun (Mommy loves it probably more than the both of you ha/ha) and a race track with cars. You both gave Grandpa his two gifts, an IU sweatshirt and a thermal shirt.  He loved both :)

While you two were playing with Grandpa, Mommy ran a book down to Aunt Dianna and then headed to the store to get chicken and hot-dogs.  You both requested the nutritious dogs for your lunch for our game day viewing.  Sister Kelly dropped by to help Daddy prepare for his online course (Sister Kelly did all the work), and then we watched part of the IU game before you two went down for a nap.  Neither of you napped long, however, Grandpa, Daddy, and Mommy got to watch as Minnesota had a late come back, holy cow!

After Grandpa and Sister Kelly left, we went out to exchange your ripped Kitty that needed to go to the animal hospital for a healthy kitty, Bodhi.  We then stopped in to look around at our favorite antique shop, as well as the Good Will.  After we were done browsing around, you both expressed being hungry.  Mommy and Daddy offered to get Happy Meals or Mommy could make spaghetti, you both opted for the Happy Meala :(  So, our junk food Saturday continued.  We messed around the house the rest of the night.  Grandpa stopped back by for a while, and then you two were off to bed.  Nighty night my sweet sweet angels!

Our morning fun...you and your brother wanted to dress up in Mommy's and Daddy's clothes :)

Late Night, Date Night

Today was an extra hectic day. Our land-line phone service has been out for days, and Daddy arranged for an early morning service call from AT&T. Before the arrival of the service technician, Daddy had to get up extra early and move all the many books in the study from two large book shelves so as to access the phone jack receptacle. Daddy theorized the problem was possibly the splitter on the phone line leading from the phone jack back to the modem, as one line, and the other leading to our fax/printer. Daddy also had to run to school quite early and leave some materials for one of the criminal justice program instructors who was unable to attend the faculty orientation meeting last night. Daddy was tired!

You got up quite early, Bodhi, as is your practice and Daddy settled you in for one of your television programs with some ice water and a banana, and you were content to allow Daddy to work. You got up a bit later, Buddha, and as is your practice when you get up early and are looking for Daddy you call out “DADA, ARE YOU DOWN THERE?” You are a hoot! Daddy happened to be in the bathroom when you initiated your search and you wandered into the mess of a crowed-cluttered study where all the furniture had been moved about and books stacked everywhere, and Daddy heard you cry out, “Daddy help me, I’m trapped!” What a character!

The repair technician (in training) and an associate (his trainer) arrived, and Daddy proved somewhat correct—the problem was indeed at the splitter, but not the splitter itself, rather the fax/printer had a short and was causing the phone line to short out of service—we will be getting a new fax/printer as Mommy must have a fax machine for her consulting service.

Daddy hurried off after the phone repair, as much work had yet to be completed before the start of classes for the spring semester next Monday. The two of you were excited (and had been all day) about the visit to GiGi and GiPa where you were to enjoy your evening and enjoy dinner with them. Mommy and Daddy were excited, too, as we had a scheduled date night—we planned to go out for dinner (complements of Grandmoo who gave us gift cards for Grindstone Charlie’s).

When Daddy finally got off work around 5 p.m., Mommy had already taken you both over to GiGi and GiPa. So, Mommy and Daddy were off on our dinner date (catfish dinner and steak dinner—and adult only beverageJ--and dessert to go; Daddy wanted to smooch for dessert, but Mommy wouldn’t have itJ). Though we were to pick the two of you up at 8:00 p.m., when we called GiGi informed us you wanted more time, so we didn’t come to get you until about 9:00 p.m. You were both tired, but as always you each had a great time with GiGi and GiPa, indeed when we got there, you were both hiding from us, as though someone had already gotten youJ--you both are stinkers!

By the time we made our way home and settled in for the night, we were all spent—Daddy could barely keep his eyes open to compose a journal entry and almost fell asleep along the mellow brick roadJ. But Daddy awakened just in time to finish this sentence and to give thanks for our blessings, especially two adorable angel babies who were well on their way to “night, night.”

PS Still waiting on some wallets to be mailed, and then the Grills’ side will be getting some family pictures, and Papaw, you will be getting a care Christmas package compliments of Bodhi and Buddha!

Bath time at GiGi's and Gi-Pa's...Buddha, you are learning, good thinking to cover your goods ha/ha :)

I don't know who these two are...GiGi took a picture of them so I figured I'd include it :)

Bodhi, you look straight freaky!  You look like a real man ha/ha!  Look at brother, I think he's freaked out too ha/ha
