Mission Stimulation

Bodhi, this morning you got in on action of the daily routine of putting the clean clothes away from the night before :)  You were acting like such a little busy body.  Taking hangers out, moving the clothes side to side... looking, and then hanging a hanger hee/hee.  You made Mommy chuckle!  This is obviously how you view your Momma!  Jude you started your morning by going through two outfits :(  You soaked yourself one right after another (in a fresh diaper?)!  However, you were your usual happy self.

This afternoon Mommy walked over to Grandmoo's to get the bouncy seat out of storage for you Jude.  Mommy brought it home, and well, Bodhi went nuts!  She obviously remembers playing in it, and insisted on playing in it the minute Mommy brought it into the house.  After Bodhi played in it for about an hour, it was your turn Jude.  You absolutely loved it!  Bodhi even showed you how to work some of the toy attachments.   You were laughing, smiling, and jumping around like a monkey.  Once you were through playing with it, Bodhi decided that Mr. Cat in the Hat needed to try it out.  Bodhi you placed your Cat in the Hat doll in the bouncy, just like Mommy does with you and Jude, and started bouncing him around.  It was so cute!  Afterwards, you carried him on your hip around the house, occasionally wiping his mouth with a wipe, just like Mommy does with Jude.  You then proceeded to get your cleaning supplies out and clean, all while Cat in the Hat was stuck to your hip :)  Today, was such a peaceful and happy day, YaY!

Jude you were not amused with tummy time today

Yet again, Jude needing some positive and new stimulation

Bodhi's old vibrating chair with the toy attachment amused you for a while

Now this did the trick!  Your first time in a bouncy seat and you had a BLAST!

A Cold Lazy Saturday

Today was quite the boring Saturday for everyone.  Mommy, out of guilt, decided that we should all go out to eat to get out of the house this evening.  Bodhi, you were excited about going bye bye, Jude, you cried and cried and cried!  Once at the restaurant, Bodhi you caused two scenes, once by screaming, and the second when Mommy told you "No," you started balling so hard and loud, you didn't even take a breath.  Everyone in the restaurant went "Awwwwe!"  Mommy even heard the guy at the next table say jokingly, "that mean ol' Daddy,"  hee/hee!  You were actually balling because of Mommy but you were sitting right next to your Daddy, so he appeared to be the culprit to everyone in the restaurant.  Jude, you were passed out from crying and being bundled so warm.  You actually didn't wake up until the end of our meal.  You did your usual head bobbing toward Mommy's breast once Mommy picked you up in a desperate attempt to be breastfed.  Never mind, that you ate right before we left.  When Mommy didn't feed you, you started moving your mouth as if you were eating right along with us.

IU vs. PU

Today, Mommy dressed you, Jude, in your IU outfit, and  Bodhi, you were dressed in your Purdue cheerleading outfit. Your oldest brother, Ryan, and his wife, Holly, bought these outfits for you guys as a gift.  Mommy, Daddy, and your sister, Kelly, earned their Baccalaureate degrees from IU, and your oldest brother, Ryan, earned his Baccalaureate degree from Purdue.  Daddy's degree is in Political Science, Mommy's degree is in Criminal Justice, your sister Kelly's degree is in General Studies, and your brother Ryan's degree is in Chemistry.  Your other brother, Sean Franky, is currently working toward his Baccalaureate degree in Exercise Science from Manchester College.  Though Mommy's philosophy on cheerleading is "why cheer when you can play," not to mention Purdue is not Mommy's cup of tea, you did look adorable in the outfit today Bodhi.  If Mommy had to characterize the relationship between you and your brother, it would be one that closely resembles the rivalry of IU and Purdue basketball, :)  today, being the most obvious depiction of this rivalry, as you both competed with the utmost fierceness!

Jude you definitely are coming into your voice today... as you screamed and chattered all day long.  Bodhi, you did not like the attention Jude gained from his noise-making and you attempted to out do him by mimicking his sounds twice as loud hee/hee.  Mommy's good friend Aunt Sam came by to meet you for the first time Jude and to visit with you Bodhi for the second time.  Mommy played ball with Aunt Sam in school, and we share a lot of crazy HS memories!  Once Aunt Sam passed Jude off to Mommy, Bodhi, you decided you liked Aunt Sam and warmed up to her very quickly:)  Kelly also stopped by after work and shared her thoughts about your Daddy's speech he gave at work today.  Your Daddy is a very talented public speaker, your Mommy definitely does not share this skill!  Hopefully, the two of you will have your Daddy's talent for public speaking, and your Mommy's athleticism :)-

Bodhi, you obviously didn't want your picture taken with Jude today :(

Snow Day

This morning started off with a phone call from GiGi asking if it was okay if Gi-Pa Poncho drove her in the middle of the snow storm to come see you both :)  Oh boy, GiGi didn't want to get stuck at home without getting to see you both this week.  Afterwards, neither one of you took a very long nap, which makes for a really long day for Mommy.

After "naps,"  Mommy bundled you up Bodhi and called Grandmoo to come over to sit with Jude, while Mommy, Bodhi, Mr. Murff, and Mr. Arlo  went outside to play in the snow storm.  It took a good half hour to get everyone dressed and ready.  Bodhi you stood by the front door, waiting for Grandmoo to arrive.  Once outside, you only lasted about ten minutes Bodhi!  Mommy couldn't believe it, but I think it's because you wanted to visit with Grandmoo and Jude inside, not that you didn't want to be outside.  Mommy pulled you on your sled until you wiped out and demanded to go back inside.  Jude, Grandmoo had just got you all bundled up when Mommy and Bodhi came back inside.  She took you out for a minute but you didn't like being separated from Mommy.

Mommy then put in the "Cat in a Hat" movie, one of Mommy's childhood favorites.  You both watched the television bright-eyed and in a trance-like state.  After dinner with Daddy, Grandmoo came back over to play with Mr. Murff and Mr. Arlo.  She then somehow managed to snatch you up Jude, put you in Bodhi's highchair, and allowed you to suck and slobber on one of Bodhi's teething cookies.  Mommy was washing dishes when she heard Grandmoo laughing hysterically.  Mommy was shocked, there sat her four month old baby boy sitting in the highchair trying to consume a cookie with a big smile.  You aren't even on cereal yet Jude!  You loved it by the way!  You were chomping like you've been eating for years.  Grandmoo, wasn't allowing you to eat it, but it didn't keep you from trying... trying REAL hard.

Bodhi you wanted to go out in the winter storm without a coat and snow pants

Family Time...Oh What A Time!

Daddy spent the day with all of us today.  Daddy's teaching schedule allows for him to be home on Wednesdays this semester.  After you both got up from your naps, Mommy got you both changed, fed and settled in to watch Shrek with Daddy, while Mommy grocery shopped (Mommy hates grocery shopping)!  Bodhi, you adore the Shrek movies.  Mommy and Daddy just love to watch you light up, smile, and giggle while watching them.  You are so adorable when you see Shrek.  Jude you have always been fascinated with television and you are always smiling, so it was no big surprise that you enjoyed your Daddy time in front of the tube today.

Bodhi, you fed yourself an entire meal with a spoon for the first time today.  You have mastered finger foods and have recently shown an interest in using utensils to eat, so Mommy thought it was time for you to have a go at it.  Mommy studied you while you ate and came to the conclusion that you are left handed (Mommy of course has pictures to support this claim).

Jude, you have developed an obvious fondness for your sister (despite still not trusting her and/or fearing her when she comes near you).  You were observed watching Bodhi play on several occasions, and every time she laughed you would smile real big and let out a squeal!

Dinner was not the only first for you tonight Bodhi!  After dinner, Mommy was filling the bath tub and gathering up all the needed after bath supplies (diaper, diaper cream, pj's, lotion etc...) and Mommy turned around and there you were, sitting in the tub, happy as could be... with your clothes ON!  You read Mommy's less than approving facial expression and stood up immediately and started crying!  Seriously, when people say it only takes a second... it literally took you 30 seconds to climb in the tub, without any telling splashes or flops. Mommy didn't even realize you were in the bathroom with her!!  Lesson learned for the both of us :)

Bodhi feeding herself veggies (left-handed) no problemo!

You couldn't quite get the pasta pieces on the spoon, so you thought it would be more efficient to pick it up and put it on the spoon ;)-

Success! Yummm Yum!

Right-handed... NOT so much!

FINALLY, DESSERT!

Bath time gone bad!

You LOVE your Momma Jude!

Chaos After Shopping

Today was a pretty typical day.  Bodhi you played all morning and Jude you watched.  Jude, Mommy couldn't get you to go down for a nap this afternoon, and Bodhi you slept for 4 and 1/2 hours.  After your sister Kelly got off work, we all went to T.J. Maxx and Big Lots, mainly to get you out of the house Bodhi.  The snow is almost all melted so Mommy couldn't pull you on your sled.  Bodhi you picked out your first Barbie, actually you ended up getting two because you held them up, facing each other, as if you were making them have a conversation.  Mommy gave in and let you have both, hoping that it would inspire you to talk or make your Barbie girls talk hee/hee.  After two hours of shopping you both were done.  We got home and sister Kelly headed home, and you both started screaming at Mommy for a bottle.  Bodhi you had no interest in your new Barbies and instead were fascinated with your new sippie cups Mommy bought at the store, probably because you wanted a bottle.  You were very upset seeing Jude cry so hard.  Jude, you rarely cry like you did tonight.  Bodhi you attempted to put your sippie cup in Jude's mouth again, so Mommy made a bottle for Jude and allowed you to feed it to him, or I should say "attempt" to feed it to him.   I was just happy you didn't try to boob feed him.   You couldn't quite get it in his mouth, and you didn't want Mommy's help.  Jude continued to cry harder because he was being taunted with a bottle, and then you, frustrated,  started to cry hysterically too.  It was so heartbreaking.  Daddy was at work so Mommy was on her own with two screaming babies.  We worked through it though and now everyone is happy and Bodhi you are fast asleep, snug as a bug, having sweet dreams :)
