On The 11th Day of Christmas...

Morning came too soon!  Bodhi, Mommy seems to recall you waking your Daddy up at around 5:30am this morning hee/hee I don't know if you tried and failed to wake me, or you thought you had a better chance of getting your Daddy "up."  Mommy's alarm clock started sounding a half hour later.  I had to get up extra early to transport my clients to Lafayette.  Mommy started the coffee and showered, but Daddy was no where to be found.  I later found him, snoring loudly, in your bed with you, Bodhi.  You were also sleeping.  You had obviously fallen back asleep while watching cartoons.  Mommy and Daddy then hustled to get you and your brother dressed and over to Aunt Ti's.  Aunt Ti saved Momma... she had read last night's blog and caught that I had mentioned today was going to be a long day... when in fact Thursday was supposed to be a long day, not today.  Mommy had confused the schedule, and it's a good thing Aunt Ti caught it because Mommy would have forgotten a client!

Mommy picked you two up shortly after noon and took you back home for your afternoon naps.  You both passed out in the car, but luckily you both stayed asleep as I carried you in one by one.  Mommy always gets nervous leaving one of you sleeping babes (usually you Buddha) in the car, while I carry the other into the house.  Buddha, you usually don't wake up and Bodhi, if you were to wake up while I was carrying your brother inside, you would flip out big time.  Luckily it's not been an issue thus far.  Mommy ordered flowers for a dear friend of mine's father who recently passed away.  My heart goes out to her and her mother!  Then I got busy re-registering all of our utilities and bills online so that I can pay them.  We have a huge unorganized pile of bills for both houses.  It's a mess that I've been chipping away at for about a week now.  Throw in work receipts and documents, and coupons, and I have the biggest mess... and it's been driving me crazy.  I've paid two bills late, I've got get a handle on it!  Anyway, after naps Mommy played with you, Buddha.  You immediately started yelling "Bo Bo," and Mommy let you go in her room and "try" to wake her up.  Bodhi, you were so tired, you would not get up for anything.  You ended up sleeping until 4:30pm, even with your brother crawling on your bed and yelling "Bo Bo" in your ear.  Mommy warmed up chicken noodles and mashed potatoes for your dinner, again, and I warmed up leftover meatloaf for myself.  You two ended up wanting my meatloaf as well as your chicken noodles hee/hee

Daddy arrived home just as you two were finishing dinner.  Mommy had to tend to my cases yet again this evening.  They've been "off" lately requiring more of Mommy's attention and time.  Despite having it made... making my own schedule and getting to spend a lot of time with you two, I absolutely HATE leaving you two in the evening.  You two love your Momma time in the evening.  You love Daddy time too, but Mommy loves evening snuggles more than any other time!  When I finally made it back home, Bodhi, you were in your room watching tv, and Buddha you were passed out!  I had to go in and give you both sugars.  Bodhi, I ended up laying with you and telling you over and over how much I loved you!  Mommy gets carried away and can't help but to tell you a million times a day how much I love you.  Buddha, I tell you too, but you aren't as "touched" yet hee/hee  I did forget to mention in yesterday's blog... Mommy dozed off, and Buddha you walked up to Mommy and started kissing Mommy on my forehead.  It was soooo precious.  You did it just like Mommy does to you when I'm rocking you to sleep :)  It was your special way of saying "I love you Momma, sweet dreams!"

Well, Mommy better get back to organizing bills and documents... we wouldn't want our lights and gas to get turned off HA!  Tomorrow will be a long day at Aunt Ti's :(  You two will be happy, but Mommy will be bummed since I didn't get my full snuggle time in tonight. Sweet dreams babies!  Mommy and Daddy love you soooooo much! xoxoxox

Thank you Aunt Ti for taking all the precious pictures today :)  Buddha, Aunt Ti and Uncle Brent crack up at how much of a Momma's boy you are... they think you are Momma's mini-me, down to our funny "stoner" laugh... hu hu :)-

On The 10th Day of Christmas...

This morning you two went to Grandmoo's for a half day while Mommy and Daddy went to work.  Bodhi, you were up super late last night, but you woke before your brother this morning.  You were excited to go to Grandmoo's, however, you  gave Grandmoo nothing but attitude the entire day :0  Buddha, you had a good day with Grandmoo with minimal melt-downs but you were still your normal handful self.  Mommy arrived to pick you both up shortly after noon.  You both were past ready for a nap, and it's a good thing because our new sofa was delivered this afternoon.  For the past month we've had a loaner sofa because the wrong sofa was ordered, but today we finally got the right one!!!  No more blankets covering our sofa!

Mommy cleaned and started dinner while you two were sleeping.  Tonight's menu consisted of chicken noodles, mashed potatoes, green beans, and rolls... YUMM!  You both LOVE chicken noodles and mashed potatoes.  You both were covered in noodles so Mommy declared "bath night!"

Mommy had hopes of getting the bills/paperwork organzied and paid, but there just wasn't enough time today :(  We played and played and played instead.  You both had several precious moments together.  Buddha, when you would get upset and cry, Bodhi would give you a kiss on your forehead and find you a toy to distract you.  During bath time you both splashed and laughed at one another.  Bodhi, you discovered Bubby's "bum crack" hee/hee You would point and laugh at it every time he stood up.  Mommy and Grandmoo (who stopped by for a short visit this evening) would tell you that we needed to take Buddha back to the store because he was broken... he had a crack in his back and had to be returned. Bodhi, you thought this was the funniest thing ever!  Buddha, Grandmoo came over tonight just to take you outside as she had promised.  Grandmoo said that you wanted to go outside so bad, but time got away and you didn't have the opportunity to go outside.  Bodhi, you use to love to be outside.  You use to be a major fuss butt if you didn't get to go outside at least once each day, however you prefer not to go out now that it's cold.  Buddha, you are following in your sister's little one year old foot steps by insisting on going outside every opportunity you get :)  We really do need to get back outside and taking more walks... it's so good for all of us!

Daddy arrived home at 8pm :(  Buddha, you wouldn't go down for Mommy, luckily Daddy arrived home just in time and he rocked you to sleep.  I think you missed your Daddy today, so some nighty night time with Daddy put you at ease.  Mommy and Daddy are both tired of being tired :)-  We have a long work day tomorrow too.  You both will be going to Aunt Ti's for the entire day :(  Then the rest of the week will be short days (8am-12pm).  Mommy's been spoiled by having Daddy home for the past two weeks.  It was quite an adjustment not having him home today :(  Sweet Dreams my sweet babes!  Don't let the bed bugs bite!

Breakfast at Grandmoo's this morning :)-

Bodhi, you got your pants wet at Grandmoo's, so she put a pair of shorts on you... you loved the shorts and you loved to shake it in them hee/hee It was as though you were wearing a big skirt :)  You wanted to wear them the rest of the day!

Buddha wanting to go outside :)

Back home after naps... Mommy went downstairs to check the chicken in the oven, and when I returned I found you, Buddha, in the middle of a pile of blankets.  You had pulled out every single blanket!

Bodhi was your accomplice :)-

Happy Bath Buddies :)

On The 9th Day of Christmas…

Today, the two of you spent an entire day at Aunt Ti’s, as Mommy and Daddy both had much work to be done. Daddy pretty much finished with many projects around the house (still the ceiling lights/fans work to be done, and desperately awaiting a bookcase solutionJ), and much work now in progress for school.
Mommy was also busy working today and still found time to coordinate a design on a dining room table, and finalize her final semester schedule in her graduate degree program. You both need to pay close attention to Mommy’s organizational skills and unique creativityJ! Daddy will teach you both philosophyJ, how to play basketballJ, and encourage each of you to read, read, read, so that you may learn how to write a (the) great American novelJ.
By the time Mommy was to pick you two up and bring you home, Daddy had to go to work, so I didn’t see you until I got home after 7:00 p.m. Buddha, you were busy (busy, busy, busyJ) playing and Bodhi, you were busy drawing on your easel. You both are characters, that’s for sure!
Daddy wanted to help Mommy get some things done, so I hurried to pick up in the living room, and folded the laundry out of the dryer, and attempted to do another blog entry. The truth is I am so doggone tired, I can’t think straight, and my knee and back are aching like nobody’s business. Oh, yeah, that is another thing Daddy will teach you, folksy aphorisms…and how to combine sophisticated words (like aphorisms and imbued) with homespun expressions and folklore. The combination makes for a sound foundation in what is commonly referred to as “Midwestern charm,” and the two of you will no doubt be imbued with loads of itJ.
"Pretty Baby Buddha" ;)

You are such a hoot Buddha :)

Buddha obviously not diggin' the dress-up time with little Lizzie hee/hee

Or did you?

Too cool for school!

Precious Baby Bodhi :)

You are too stinkin' precious!

Running around, playing, having a good ol' time at Aunt Ti's! :)

You all ganged up on Momma... tipped me over! :)-

Bodhi, you are so observant.  You noticed that Mommy got you paper for your new easel :)  Buddha, you enjoyed playing with Bodhi's easel too!

Mommy's little artists!

PS Thank you Daddy for blogging an extra night! :) Muaaaaah!

On The 8th Day of Christmas…

Today was a tttiiirrreeerrreeeddd…day for everyone, late night celebration of the new year. The two of you were excited about our late night jaunt to the downtown celebration, but you were both weary this morning. Mommy and Daddy were too, as we stayed up even later and watched the New Your Philharmonic Orchestra perform Gershwin’s “West Side Story” and enjoyed a bottle of apple cider wine Sister Kelly and Brother Aaron gave us as a giftJ.
This morning as everyone slept in, Daddy tried to get a few things accomplished, then set about returning us to our Sunday Daddy breakfast traditionJ. After our scrambled eggs and sausage, and juice and coffee, we all got dressed and made a trip to the mall, which we had planned yesterday. Mommy found some bargains at Sears to make use of a gift card. We were all dragging, and the two of you, even though Daddy and Mommy treated you to a soft pretzel, were showing signs of being very tired. We had you out past your normal nap time, so we hurried home and all of us laid down for a long afternoon nap.
We were awakened by a visit from Sister Kelly and Brother Aaron, and we all visited and played, while Mommy made us our New Year’s dinner of cabbage and sausage and brown sugar (mmmmmm…it was goooood!). Sister Kelly and Brother Aaron wouldn’t stay for dinner, so after they left we ate our dinner and the two of you made a mess of a cookie monster dessert cookie Mommy got you at the mall.
Jude, you were a pistol right up to the time Mommy gave you and your sister a bath, and then settled you in for “night, night.” Emilia, you wouldn’t stay in bed after your bath, and as Mommy was preparing to leave to go work for a few hours, you started calling for Daddy and wanted back up. Daddy permitted you to get up and watch one more program while I did the blog entry for Mommy, and as I draw to a close on this cold, very windy Sunday night I look forward to getting another good night hug from our beautiful miracle baby girlJ
Mommy will understand when she gets home that Daddy has gone to bed and will stay awake until she gets safely home, but Daddy’s knee and back are hurting so very much that I can barely sit to complete this entry. It’s worth the effort, though, to keep the story of two very special, incredibly intelligent, remarkably beautiful babies moving forward into a new year.
Happy, Happy, Happy New Year to all our friends and family, and thank you all for the many, many blessings you bring to our lives! Sweet, sweet, sweet new year dreams baby boy and baby girl. You are each cherished beyond wordsJ.
Cookie Monster for dessert?  I think so :)

"Sorry Cookie Monster, I'm about to eat your face!"

"Mmmmmm!"

"Really Mom?"  "Where's my fruit?"

"Oh well, at least it's my favorite color...blue!"

"Look Momma, I ate his eyes!"

"Mommy's little Cookie MOnstEr!"

Bath Babes :)-

"Lemme wash your face for you sis!"

Having a blast, soaking the floor as usual :0
