A Worried Wednesday

Today was a hectic, busy day…Mommy working at home and away, Daddy trying to catch up with many undone tasks, both preoccupied by concerns for a sick little girl. Bodhi, you are so obviously feeling sick, and it shows in your eyes, you precious little angel.
Both of you, Bodhi and Buddha, had a special treat today by having an opportunity to see both GiGi and Grandmoo! GiGi called early this morning after Mommy was off to work, to check on how Daddy was getting along with watching a sick little girl and an energized little boyJ She volunteered to come by and help look after the two of you and attempt to give Daddy some time to try to get some work done.
You both love to see GiGi, and you perked up, Bodhi, when you saw from the living room window when GiGi parked out front. She helped play with the two of you and then helped feed both of you lunch, by then Mommy had come by to help get the two of you down for a nap, by then Bodhi you’re excitement had worn off and you were again a very sick little girlL Buddha, you made up for your sister’s loss of appetite and GiGi marveled over how much chicken noodle soup you ate!
After naptime, Daddy took our sick little girl to the doctor, and learned there really isn’t much that can be done with your virus-related illness, other than Tylenol and liquids and rest. By the time we got home, Mommy was preparing for the arrival of the very nice subcontractors working on getting your playhouse into position in the backyard—that project took hours and Grandmoo stopped by to assist Mommy and the two of you had your second special treat with spending time with Grandmoo while Daddy again attempted to get some work done and Mommy made dinner, gave babies baths, and later got the two of you off to bed.
GiGi and Grandmoo are special blessings to all of us, and the two of you adore both of them. It is a joy to witness the happiness they bring to the two of you, even a very sick little girl.
Finally, the day and night began to quiet down, but still the noise of a worried Wednesday fills the heads of Mommy and Daddy---there is no worry like the concern over a sick child! Rest and dream magic filled dreams of happiness and wonderment, and know the two of you, Buddha and Bodhi, are loved beyond words!!!
PS Aunt Ti... I just got home from working and settled in, I'm getting ready to text you.

Bodhi's attempt to play... she lifted her oven to give it to her brother!  She didn't feel like cooking dinner for Momma tonight :(

Poor Baby!  This was pre-bath... you looked, smelled, and felt much better after Mommy gave you a warm bath!

"Sissy, you must really be sick to let me have your oven!"

"Don't worry, I won't let you down!  This will be the best imaginary dinner ever!"

Buddha didn't like his Sissy not feeling well!  You were so worried about Sissy-poo!

"Momma, does this mean I'm going to get sick again too?"  "I just got over my sinus infection!"

Bo pulled herself together enough to go and check out her Bodhi Christmas tree :/

What an ordeal!  We had to shovel out most of the leveled gravel and we ended up using bricks.  The guy couldn't get his three-wheeler to maneuver it.  We have great big giant holes in our yard.  The outside will have to be landscaped and fixed up real cute in the spring.  Now it's on to winterizing the inside, adding some insulation, installing a cat door and weather stripping, some comfy cat window seats, and all the other bells and whistles to make Boy kitty and Girl Kitty comfy.

New location.. a little crooked but much better than in the middle of our backyard!  Bodhi's and Buddha's Animal Rescue house will be up and running in no time! :)

Illness and Disappointment

Mommy was so excited to spend the whole day with you two, especially after not seeing you all day yesterday!  Mommy was also super excited about getting our playhouse moved to the prepared spot in the yard.  Well, as the day went on, the day grew grimmer and grimmer.

Aunt Terrie left this morning for her friend's funeral, and Mommy couldn't talk her into skipping time with her grandson to spend the day with us :(  Just as Aunt Terrie was leaving, Ms. Connie arrived for your speech therapy appointment.  You were feeling bad Bodhi, but you still participated and talked.  Buddha, just as you are about to get completely over your sinus infection, Bodhi girl comes down with something nasty by this afternoon!  Bodhi, you NEVER get sick, You've had a couple of colds but you get over them in a day or so.  You looked absolutely heartbreakingly horrible, just terrible this afternoon. You are just like your Momma, your eyes give you away when you are sick or tired.  I have NEVER seen you look so bad!  You slept longer than your brother, about two and a half hours, but you were still yawning and fussy when you got up.  Mommy called to check to see what time the movers would be here to move the playhouse, but they had issues with another move and said they wouldn't make it today... they also couldn't give me a different date and time they'd be coming, ugggh!  Grandmoo had come over right before your naps, she was to sit with you guys while Mommy was out back directing the movers with the playhouse :(  GiGi came over after calling to see if either of you were up from your naps, Buddha, you had just woke up so she headed over.  Bodhi, you woke up just as GiGi arrived.  You broke GiGi's heart, and she rushed to the grocery store to get you some fruit Popsicles.  Mommy started dinner only to discover an hour later, the oven wasn't working.  Well, after Daddy came home, he investigated and found that that the power had kicked off.  The oven worked for a while, because the food was no longer frozen and warmed, but Mommy thought our oven just stopped working.  There weren't any other appliances going, so Mommy didn't bother to check the breakers.

This evening you both wanted to play upstairs.  Bodhi, you were running a fever so Mommy gave you some Tylenol.  Your fever quickly broke you had played happily for a bit.  Grandpa Kurt came by and played with you both until it was time to put you both to bed.     Bodhi, you wanted your tv on, so Mommy let you watch tv in your bed while Mommy rocked Jude to sleep.  By the time Mommy got Jude relaxed, you were passed out.  Mommy hopes you get a good nights sleep tonight.  Mommy made you a doctor's appointment for tomorrow.  Sweet dreams my sweet angels!  Don't let those nasty cold and flu bugs bite!

Bodhi in the "zoo" aka "jail"... you had Grandmoo put you in there to play this morning.

Buddha in "time-out!"

Buddha, you climbed up next to your sister to have a snack with her... you were trying to give her kisses and pat her on her head!  You knew Sissy wasn't feeling good :(

Buddha when GiGi didn't take him to the store with her :0

Look What The Rain Washed In

Rain, rain, rain, rain, rain!  It rained ALL day, non-stop!  Well, I take that back, it stopped long enough for some snowflakes to fall late this evening!  The plan for the day  was for you two to stay your usual half day (four hours) at Aunt Ti's (just like any other Monday) and then Mommy would pick you both up at 12:30.  However, Mommy's client had a lot that needed to be done today, so today turned into a long day at Aunt Ti's... and a long day for both Mommy and Daddy who were busy working and hating being away from the two of you.  Aunt Ti reported that neither of you minded, and you even went down for your naps. Neither of you took a very long nap, but this doesn't bother Aunt Ti because none of her babes nap nor have they ever napped!  Well, Ellie napped as a baby, but not Andrew or Lizzie.

You two had a great day at Aunt Ti's.  Aunt Ti reported that she absolutely adores you both, and that you two were wonderful as usual :) You two love your "Aunt Ti Ti!"  Bodhi, Aunt Ti commented tonight that she loves how affectionate you have become!  Mommy agreed and thought to myself, wow, you have changed so much over the last six months!  You are now talking away... when your in the mood or have something to say.  Your not a usual blabbing away toddler hee/hee  Buddha, I think Aunt Ti and Mr. Andrew bring out the orneriness in you!  You are such a busy body, watching, playing, running around doing whatever the others are doing.  You both always greet Mommy with a big hug and smile, which is the highlight of Mommy's day :)

Mommy got you both home around 7pm, Buddha, your light nap was beginning to wear on you by the time you made it home.  You were so sleepy and rubbing your eyes.  Mommy got your diaper changed and administered your medicine, and then we waited for Daddy to arrive home.  Once he arrived home, he got you, Bodhi, ready for bed and cuddled you on the couch.  Mommy took you to bed Buddha :)

This evening, Aunt Terrie came over to spend the night as planned.  She was in town for her best friend's father's funeral :(  She got to tour our home, but you two were fast asleep when she arrived.  Mommy my and Daddy stayed up until midnight catching up with Aunt Terrie :)  It was so nice to see her, we miss Grandma Betty, Aunt Debbie, Aunt Diane... and everyone!  We wish our visit with Aunt Terrie was under different circumstances, but it was still nice to see her!

Tomorrow, Bodhi, you have speech therapy, and the movers are coming to move the playhouse into place.  It should be interesting to see what our yard is going to look like when they're done.  All this rain and more rain is expected for the next couple of days.

Sweet dreams my sweet babes!

No Rest This Sunday

Last night Mommy had called Grandmoo to see if she wanted to spend time with the two of you Sunday morning... Mommy and Daddy had our minds set we were going to get some serious work done!  She of course was super excited to have just the two of you, and not have to worry about Mr. Murff and Mr. Arlo.  It was to be  a strictly Bodhi and Buddha day at Grandmoo's.

Well, Mommy and Daddy got you both packed in the car and took you to "Moo's!"  You two were super excited and you, Jude, said "Moo" for the first time this morning :)  Once Mommy and Daddy got back home it was raining, so Mommy decided I was going to get that fence post (that may or may not be in the way) out of the ground just to be on the safe side.  Daddy wasn't happy about Mommy deciding to dig it up for whatever reason.  I think he thought I couldn't do it and he'd end up outside in the rain too!  HA!  He should know by now, Mommy gets things done, that's how Grills women roll :)-  After digging in the mud and yes, removing the post, Mommy decided there was much more yard work to be done. Our pine tree out front had fallen during the last snow, and well, most of it had fallen :0 Mommy pulled each and every single limb from the front yard around back to the alley.  Afterwards, Mommy noticed all the leaves in our yard and in our flower beds, so those were then raked to the road (btw, Mommy doesn't recommend raking wet leaves, those suckers are heavy).  Mommy broke two rakes hee/hee  Then Mommy cut back three rose bushes and carried the limbs to Mommy's pine tree pile. Daddy working inside on some electrical outlets, decided he needed to make a run to the hardware store.  Mommy had Daddy pick up three treated 1 by 4's so Mommy could level those into the gravel for the playhouse to sit on, just as Great Papaw Grills had recommended.  Mommy was outside covered in mud from a little after 8am to 1pm, when you two arrived back home from Moo's.  Daddy got you both down for naps. Our electricity had went out for like the fourth day in a row, so there was no cartoons before napping today.  We don't know what is up with our daily loss of electricity?  Bodhi, Mommy asked you if you had fun at Moo's and you said "YES!"  Buddha, you were ready for nap time big time, as usual!

Mommy managed to get a shower in, despite not having electricity... the water stayed hot the entire time :)  Daddy ran and got us lunch and then we both moved on to new projects.  Mommy is so happy that I managed to get all of our floors swept and vacuumed.  Daddy made great progress on his office and picked up some odd stuff laying around the house.  We tag teamed he laundry and took turns playing with you both :)  Mommy made baked chicken and cream corn for dinner, neither of you ate much :(  and then Mommy threw you both in the bath.  Buddha, by this time it was  nighty night time for you, and Bodhi, you are currently snuggled up on the couch with Daddy watching some cartoons before you head off  to dreamland!  Mommy has to go to work for an hour, drop off recyclables, and enter some work data, and then Momma will be calling it a night too.  Daddy has some papers to grade, tests to make, and then he'll be calling it a night as well :)  Though we didn't get to spend all of our Sunday together relaxing, we made the most of the time we were together (this afternoon and evening).  You two will be going to Aunt Ti's tomorrow morning while Mommy works a part day and Daddy a full day.  Sweet dreams sweet babies!

"GiGi, Grandmoo, that's where we use to live!"

"There will be no Moorazzi today, Mommarazzi is not here!"

"Bubba, we've gotta wipe our feet, Grandmoo keeps a tidy house!"
You two had an extra special day with GiGi and Grandmoo :)

"GiGi, Moo, look at us!"

"We're silly babes!"

Lunch time :)-

Grandmoo had you two sitting on big people stools... I certain you LOVED it too!

"Look GiGi, it's me, Bubba, Daddy, Mr. Murff, Mr. Arlo... we've all been in the newspaper!"

Always snacking!

Brother Aaron Saves the Day!

Ahhh Saturday morning!  The day Mommy always hopes you two will sleep a little later than usual!  Daddy works Saturday mornings, 8-10am, so he always hopes for a little extra rest on Sundays.  You two were hearing Mommy's prayers because though I wanted to sleep all day, 9am was fine by me!  Buddha, you did wake at your usual 7am, but thankfully you decided to go back to sleep when you didn't hear any noises around the house.  Mommy's feet were definitely in no hurry to hit the floor either!

After you, Buddha decided enough was enough, you woke your Momma and your sister up. Mommy got both of your diapers changed, dressed, and fed.  We were then onto decorating each of your personal Christmas trees for your room.  Mommy has yet to give this house a thorough cleaning, but I figured the trees would make a mess, we might as well get them out of the way!  Bodhi, you ended up decorating both trees :)  You loved it!  They both turned out very cute, however, yours Buddha is sparse compared to your sister's.  After Christmas this year we'll have to pick you up some ornaments :)  Sister Kelly and Governor came by to help Daddy set up our new wireless printer/fax machine, but right as they began working on it our power went out.  Today was the third day in a row we've lost power.  Today 100 people in Howard County were without power, and we were one of them.  It didn't matter much to you two though... you both were busy decorating and getting ready for nap time.

After nap time, Mommy and Daddy took you to get you both some breakfast foods, juice, and we also stocked up on some dinner items at Sam's Club.  Afterwards, Mommy ran into Target to pick up some diapers, and we were off to have dinner.  Daddy had the brilliant idea to try a new restaurant in town.  You'll both soon discover, the big excitement in Kokomo is going out to eat.  We have so many restaurants, it's the only thing to do :(  Mommy is not going to mention the name of the restaurant because our silence was bought!  While waiting for our food to be served (sitting right beside the kitchen door...that's where they sit people with kids as to not disturb others) Daddy spotted a rat trap and yep, there was a big ol' dead rat in it!  Daddy didn't tell Mommy because Mommy has a weak stomach, and well, I couldn't have eaten just thinking about a rat in general, let alone it laying dead beside me with it's head chopped off! Daddy called the manager over to our table and whispered in his ear.  Mommy of course couldn't stand not knowing what was going on, as my stomach started to churn as my imagination went wild.  Daddy had a look on his face like he was going to pass out.  Once he told Mommy, Mommy thought to herself, every restaurant in Kokomo has em' so just don't think about it.  However, the Manhattan Mommy ordered smelled and most definitely tasted funny,  neither Mommy nor Daddy could eat our dinners.  We packed it up for Mr. Murff and Mr. Arlo hee/hee  So, Daddy when checking out was asked by the same manager how everything was.  Daddy said, "you already know how everything was, but since you're young, let me just tell you... if I were you, I'd say this meal is on us and please don't post this on Facebook." LOL, your Daddy sure gets things done!  Mommy and Daddy both agreed, the tip we left was even too much for the meal we were served, but they did have your mess to pick up, Buddha!

Once we arrived back home, Mommy unpacked the car and Daddy got you both dressed in your p.j.'s.  Mommy then rocked you to sleep Jude, and Bodhi, you curdled up downstairs.  Daddy suckered Sister Kelly and Brother Aaron to come over and again help with the technology issues.  They were here until just before midnight (that's why this blog is so late).  Poor Aaron!  Mommy told Aaron he'd get a nice Christmas present for putting up with all of Daddy's demands!  Brother Aaron and Sister Kelly were so nice about helping.  Sister Kelly even helped Mommy switch over our Christmas tree stands (ours wasn't holding up with little Buddha and Aunt Ti had given me one that she couldn't use).  Sister Kelly even curdled up with you Bodhi while Mommy went back to work for about an hour and a half.  When Mommy arrived back from work, Sister Kelly had put you to bed :(  Mommy hates when I don't get to put you to bed!  I did get a kiss before I left though :)

"Ooooh a box of goodies!"

A Busy Friday and A Conclusion To A Busy Week

I can't believe it's Friday already, again!  This Friday was no different from the last... busy, busy, busy, but thankfully it was much more productive than yesterday!  You two had a full day at Aunt Ti's :)  Aunt Ti reports that you both were good little babes, and that you, Ms. Bodhi, is repeating everything Aunt Ti's says.  Today was the first day Aunt Ti heard you say "Jude," though you've been saying "Dude" at home for quite some time :)  Buddha, you look like you feel much better.  Your medicine is clearing up that nasty sinus infection!  Aunt Ti had to take your sweats off of you and wash them because the asparagus, fish, and potato you had for dinner last night, came out a little solid, a little liquid, and very much gross hee/hee  Aunt Ti took some adorable pictures of you two with her cell phone and is sending them to me later.  Mommy forgot to send Daddy with the camera this morning.

Mommy is happy to report... I got the foundation for the Bodhi and Buddha rescue house set and leveled... well, Mommy's "gravel/back top" guy got it done.  However, everything coordinated smoothly according to Mommy's hectic work schedule :)  Mommy started working with a new client this morning and spent the entire rest of the day and early evening with her old client (the client I've worked with for the past six months anyway.  Daddy also had a busy day at work and didn't get home until about 5:30pm.  Mommy and Daddy made up your bed, Bodhi. You had wet the bed and everything had to be washed and re-assembled. Then it was time for a little play time.  Mommy is completing this blog early tonight in hopes to getting to bed early.  Buddha, you are getting ready to be put down for the night (you are fussing and rubbing your eyes), and Bo, Daddy just made you mad and you are crying for your Momma ;/  So nighty night my sweet babes... here in a bit.  Hopefully we'll all be having sweet dreams!

PS Today was a Buddha picture day hee/hee I guess making up for all those days where we have tons of pictures of you Bo :)

What We Do for Animals!

Today started out horribly for Momma, but I won't bore you with all the details (work related).  Aunt Ti and Mommy did figure out a mystery with you, Buddha.  Every morning Aunt Ti would text Momma that you had spit up/threw up, so Mommy would switch what she gave you to drink the next morning... milk, juice, water etc... Well, after Daddy took you both to Aunt Ti's yesterday, you didn't throw up.  However, you were back to throwing up this morning after Momma dropped you off.  So, Aunt Ti came to the conclusion Mommy's driving is making you ill ha/ha.  It explains why when we go over a tummy tingling hill, you scream and cry  :0  Mommy's driving makes you car sick!  Mommy just asked Daddy what road he took when he took you two out to Aunt Ti's and he said Markland, so yes, mystery solved.  Mommy takes Sycamore Street which is curvy and hilly.  So, it's not ALL Momma's driving hee/hee

You two fell asleep in the car on the ride home from Aunt Ti's.  There was no keeping you awake today Bo!  Mommy luckily got you both down for your naps without you waking back up :)  Mommy and Grandmoo then went to work, measuring and planning adjustments for the Bodhi and Buddha Animal Rescue House :)  Grandmoo headed off to shopping and Mommy came inside to make sure you two didn't wake up and worked on some work.  Grandmoo arrived back but didn't tell Mommy, we were all upstairs playing.  Grandmoo started tearing down the fence and when Mommy noticed, Mommy went out to work as well.  Grandmoo and her bad back did most of the work however.  She insisted on doing most of it while I stayed inside supervising you two.  Franky came by and helped watch you two while Mommy helped Grandmoo.  Mommy and Grandmoo did manage to get two of the cemented fence posts out, making enough room to get the equipment in to move the house out of the center of the yard.  Governor and Daddy came home and were able to get a third old post out,it was cut off and left beside the new one, so there was nothing to grab hold of!  Then the boys, including Uncle Cory, went to work on trying to get our computer/printer hooked back up right.  Our wireless printer is no longer working :(  Sister Kelly occupied you, Bodhi, while Mommy put Juders to bed and then we sat and watched cartoons with you.  Sister Kelly has you calling "BULL" on people when they say anything to you.  "Bodhi, you're a Daddy's girl," to which you say "Bull!"  You also call Uncle Cory, Bull because you can't say Cory hee/hee  This should go over real well with our religious, home-schooled neighbors :0  in which the father is a Minister.   Well, it's been a long day, and Mommy said this morning I was going to go to bed at 9pm no matter what... so much for that.  OH, and we lost power for several hours today, but you two didn't notice you were napping!

And... Great Papaw Grills gave Mommy some advice to prevent the Rescue from rotting out in a year :)

Getting you ready for bed... in the bathroom trying to give you your medicine and you, Buddha, getting into everything!  Of course you were picking things up and saying "This!"

"Nighty night Bubba, I love you!"

"Let me play this flute first, Momma!"

"But I want to play my flute/recorder!"

"Ahhhh the terrorist is going to bed, time to kick up my feet and relax for a bit!"
