Daddy to the Rescue

Daddy took you, Jude, to your doctor's appointment early this morning.  There was no way Mommy, after only a few hours of sleep, was going to be able to get myself and you ready and actually get there on time!  Daddy to the rescue!  The news was bleak though!  Jude, your ears have not improved at all.  You've had this dang ear infection for about 10 weeks now!  Poor guy!  The nurse that you saw today, Dr. Zentz is not in this week, couldn't believe how huge you are, and was even more impressed that despite having an ear infection, how happy you were :)  What Mommy and Daddy thought was a diaper rash, turned out to be muratic acid burns, apparently, you, Bodhi had snuck in our room in the middle of the night and poured muratic acid on your brother's pee pee and bum.... Ok, that's NOT true, but I had to put that in here for Great Papaw Grills!  He examines every photo of Jude very closely as to monitor if you, Bodhi, are getting away with torturing your brother Ha/Ha!  Grandmoo told Mommy and Daddy that she spoke with Great Papaw Grills today, and Papaw said that someone needs to yank a knot in your tail, Bodhi, because you and your brother are like little pack animals and you, Bodhi, need to be put in your place now, rather than later bahhahahahaha!  You do act like Mr. Murff, and for the longest time you actually thought you were a dog :)  Needless to say, after Mommy got off the phone with Grandmoo, Daddy called Grandmoo right back, real serious-like, and said "No one will touch that little Daddy's girl, she's an angel." Mommy could hear Grandmoo laughing clear across the room.  Jude, bubs, I'm afraid your Momma and your Great Papaw Grills are the only two looking out for you hee/hee Bodhi has Daddy, Grandmoo, GiGi, and Gi-Pa Poncho wrapped around her little finger :)- By the way, Jude, your diaper rash turned out to be a yeast infection and so now we have to use anti-fungal foot cream on your tush and manhood.  Unfortunately, you get the yeast problem from your Momma and Great Papaw Grills too hee/hee

This afternoon while you two were napping, Daddy took Mommy's car to the dealership in Westfield to have it looked at because the ABS indicator light was on, along with the car wheel traction light.  More bad news from that visit as well... it's going to cost about $900 to get that fixed uggggh!  Mommy was glad Daddy volunteered for that trip too!  If Mommy would have went, I had to take you, Jude, with me!  You are not happy when your Momma is out of sight.

Since your ears haven't improved, Mommy kept you both inside today.  I'm afraid this may cause Bodhi to have further negative feelings about you, Jude :(  We ended up playing inside.  However, you, Jude, only slept for about two hours.  Bodhi, on the other hand, took a five hour nap.  Mommy thinks she may be coming down with something as well.  Bodhi, you were still tired after your long nap!  Mommy anticipated you staying up later tonight, but you insisted on going to bed.  Jude, Mommy nursed you, cuddled you, and got you to sleep on two separate occasions before putting you in your crib.  However, you again immediately woke up crying.  You didn't cry long though.  Mommy thought you were asleep and snuck back in the room to check on you, and you were smacking your lips and staring at Mommy as she peaked around the door.  Poor little guy!  When Mommy left, you started crying again.  I'm pretty certain you fell asleep quickly after that :(  You actually just woke up right as I finished that last sentence.  This blog is going to be late, I can tell by your cry... poor baby boy!

Bodhi, Mommy got you to say Bubs today!  You said it several times :)

Daddy's Girl!

"Oooooh!"

Mommy gave you pop rock candy hee/hee

"Nostril Family"
"Momma, there's a party in my mouth!"

"That was fun, lets do it again!"

"Sick Buddha" ;(

Momma's boy!

"Whatch doin' sis?"

"You're crazy, why do you have that on your head?"

You did your best to make the most of inside time today :)

"Here bubs, lets put this on your head."

"Calm down, Calm down!"  "You're gonna get me in trouble!"

"Damn it MOMM!"

"I'm ok!"  "This is how you are supposed to play with it Sis!"

Hand Holding, Kisses, and Hugs

Since this week is finals week for both Mommy (as a Graduate student) and Daddy (as a Professor), Mommy has decided to skip the "Fat Tuesday" entry today.  Mommy and Daddy are both extremely exhausted!  I can hardly keep my eyes open and I still have a final to study for and wedding pictures to upload and edit.

The most exciting part of the day, would probably be Sean Franky's and Sister Kelly's visit with you two.  We played this morning and had a good time, but we didn't do anything new and exciting :(  While you both were napping, Mommy went to the grocery store (three to be exact) and Daddy took the opportunity to squeeze in a nap.  Bodhi, you were supposed to have Speech Therapy today, but Ms. Connie called and cancelled because she had a fever and didn't want to get us sick.  When Mommy arrived home from shopping, Bodhi, you were in the backyard playing with Sean Franky and Sister Kelly.  Jude, you were inside playing on the floor with Daddy.  You were so happy to see your Momma :) hee/hee!  Sean Franky threw you, Bodhi, around and supervised your playing and petting of Mr. Arlo (this is you and Sean Franky's normal routine).  Sister Kelly played with toys with the two of you, and of course, made you both hug, kiss, and hold hands.  Sister Kelly, like Momma, is determined to make you two like each other.  Jude, you love your sister, these exercises are more for Bodhi :)-  Sister Kelly also helped you, Bodhi, make a dandelion princess tierra, and you also gave Mommy a bundle of dandelions :)  Jude, Sister Kelly made castles from blocks and you crawled to them to knock them down hee/hee  You were crawling!!!!!

Jude, this evening, Mommy nursed you in Bodhi's room while Bodhi played.  Bodhi, you get real jealous when Mommy and lil' Buddha lay together, so you crawled up on the bed to lay with us as well.  That is, after you tried ripping bubs from Mommy!  After Mommy laid Jude to bed, Mommy cuddled you and watched Toy Story 3.  Mommy forgot that you were probably hungry for dinner, but you reminded Mommy and Mommy of course made you dinner.  Afterwards, we continued our cuddle session and finished watching Toy Story 3 :)  Mommy loves cuddly Bodhi!

Jude, you have a doctor's appointment tomorrow because Mommy and Daddy are concerned with the rash on your bum!  It's not getting any better, and tonight you spit up everything you got from nursing :(

Bodhi beat you to knocking this castle down Juders!

Bodhi and Buddha playing with Sister Kelly

"Crawling Buddha" ;)

Bodhi, you are into putting things over your head, blankets, boxes, etc...

Peek-a-boo Momma sees you! ;)

Franky throwing you around like a rag doll ;)

"Oooooh!"

Bodhi getting Bubs beep beep!

Bodhi and Buddha holding hands :)

"Awwww love the Buddha!" ;)

This is really gross hee/hee... Last night Mommy cut Mr. Arlo's infamous meatball growth off his leg.  Mommy got creative and used a pantie liner as a band aid with a wrap holding it in place.  As you can see, Mr. Arlo is doing fine.  And yes, the vet said this was ok to do ;)

New Sights and Sounds

Bodhi, first thing this morning Mommy woke you up so that we could watch the house next door be torn down together.  Jude, you watched from inside in your bouncy seat while Daddy was reading.  Bodhi, we sat on the front porch bench.  You kept "oooooh'ing" and "awwwww'ing," it was so stinkin' cute!  Most of the morning we played downstairs, but once we went back up to your room to finish out the morning, you two were glued to the window watching the demolition.  It was so cute!  Bodhi, you always stand in your window, and well, Jude was fussing so Mommy sat him on the bed next you and I.   Jude, you then proceeded to pull yourself up so that you could stand at the window next to your sister.  When Mommy went downstairs to make lunch and then returned with food, I found you, Jude, standing in front of the toy box.  You had crawled or scooted across the room and stood yourself up.  Mommy thinks you are crawling, however, when Mommy is around, you fuss and hold your arms up for me to do all the work.

This afternoon, Jude, you would not stay asleep for anything.  Mommy would get you to sleep, but he minute I moved you to put you in your crib, you woke back up screaming crying.  Mommy even let you cry for a few minutes to see if you'd fall back asleep, but you didn't.  So, Mommy ended up taking a three hour nap with you.  Bodhi, you slept for four hours!!!!  Mommy was in a panic, I knew you two would either have to stay up late tonight, or you both would be up all night, and well, Mommy has a ton of finals and a final paper to complete.  However, Mommy gave you both a bath and then decided to see how you two would do in your room while Mommy got some work done.  Mommy put you, Jude, in Bodhi's  crib with some toys, and I turned on some cartoons for you, Bodhi to watch.  You both were so happy and content.  You both are usually asleep at this time, so the fact that you both were getting some extra play time, worked out wonderfully.  Thankfully, Mommy got you to sleep pretty quickly tonight Jude.  It took two attempts, but the 2nd try was a success.  :)

Mommy thought it would be important to mention; Sister Kelly sent Mommy a text to turn on the news last night... Mommy and Daddy turned on the news only to discover that OSAMA BIN LADEN had been killed by U.S. military forces.  The U.S. has been hunting Osama since September 11, 2001, after he took responsibility for the terrorist attacks on the Twin Towers in New York!  Osama was EVIL and he was responsible for many EVIL acts, but Mommy saw this quote, and I felt I should share it with you both:

"I mourn the loss of thousands of precious lives, but I will not rejoice in the death of one, not even an enemy. Returning hate for hate multiplies hate, adding deeper darkness to a night already devoid of stars. Darkness cannot drive out darkness: only light can do that. Hate cannot drive out hate: only love can do that." MLK

Bubs wanted to see too!

Bodhi fell back and sat on Buddha... they both then laughed hysterically

"Finally!"  "I can see again!"

"Standing Buddha" ;)

Bath Time!
Bodhi, Mommy got your bath markers back out now that you are older.  You loved them :)

Mommy's little Artist ;)

Clean Babes!
Bodhi, look how horrible your bruise looks!  Mommy hopes it goes away in time for our 1st  family picture on the 14th!

Piggy, you have outgrown all of your p.j.'s, so Mommy had to put you in your sister's 2T's.

Bodhi, you didn't want to sit by your brother and Mommy on the couch, so you went and sat in the chair by yourself :(

Look how sweet you look!

Hopes for Sibling Harmony In Spite of Torture by Big Sister

Work, work, work!  Wow, Mommy will be glad, well I'm sure Daddy will be glad also, when Mommy completes her Master's program!  Today, was not a very exciting day for you two.  Mommy did manage to get you both out of the house for a couple of hours though.  Mommy pulled you both in the wagon, first to UCT park to see if we could find our neighbor boy, Matthew, playing baseball, and then on the walking trail through Foster Park.  Mommy couldn't find Matthew, but we did run into Kaila Stiner, Aunt Tiana's niece.  We also ran into Misty Mckee, a lady Mommy went to high school with who lives one street over :)   On our way home from our walk, Mommy caught you, Bodhi, torturing your brother again.  You were pulling his hood over his head and face, as to suffocate him :(  Grrrrr!  Then, Mommy kept watch and caught you again smacking his hand.  Bubby was screaming crying, and Mommy scolded you Bodhi!  You jumped big time when Mommy scolded you, you weren't expecting to get caught in the act the second time.

Bodhi, this morning, you were so loving and affectionate toward Mommy and brother, but that obviously didn't last into the evening hours!  Jude, you have a horrible diaper rash that we can't seem to get rid of.  You had diarrhea yesterday, and GiGi read where your ear medication could cause diarrhea.  Poor guy!  Mommy has been allowing you to sleep with Mommy and Daddy since you've been so sick, but today you woke up from your nap and Daddy walked in to get you just in time (THANKFULLY)!  You were about to do a back flip, head first, off the bed!  You had scooted yourself backwards!  Daddy said the fall would have broke your neck and killed you.  So, tonight, it took a couple hours longer to get you to sleep, but Mommy managed to get you to sleep, safe and sound in your OWN bed.  Absolutely no more afternoon napping on our bed!  Mommy would just die if anything ever happened to you, or your sister for that matter.  Bodhi, you have a horrible bruise on your forehead, but you seem to be doing fine...no unusual behavior or vomiting.

Look who we ran into at UCT, Aunt Tiana's niece, Kaila! :)

Kaila adored you both! :)

Hmmm, was Bodhi torturing Bubby Buddha at this point in our walk as well?

Everybody calm down and have a drink of water!

"Hey Momma, Bubs just threw his drink!"

"Ha ha ha, when Momma isn't looking, I'm going to draw on Bubs with my chalk!"

      "Look Momma!  Baby Quack Quacks!"

"Ooooh flower!"

"I think I'll pick it... and not for my Momma who allowed me to be tortured!"

"Flower Buddha" ;)

Bodhi, checking out her brother, flower in hand... eating a banana.  She's a "multi-tasker," eating while torturing the brother :(
