A Fabulous Day Home With Momma

Mommy called it last night, today was such a great day with you two babes :)  Bodhi, you ended up sleeping with Mommy and Daddy from about 3 a.m. on, I don't know what is up with your sleeping pattern?  We all ended up getting a little extra sleep this morning, which is always the best treat ever!  You both woke up happy, and so our morning was happy as well.  Mommy got you two dressed, fed, and we played the morning away.  UPS delivered the BLUE candle chandelier Mommy bought for above your bed, Bodhi :)  A fight almost broke out between you and your brother, Bubby really wanted that chandelier, crazy boy!  Mommy carried up the ladder, got the drill out, and we got it hung!  It looks beautiful.  Mommy is so excited about how your room is coming together.  Jude man, your room is adorable, but Mommy will eventually shift the focus to your room and make it spectacular.  You and Bodhi always play a majority of the time in her room, plus, Mommy has a clear vision of the direction I'm going with Bo's room.  I haven't quite decided which direction I'm going with your room, little man.  I promise it will be spectucular though, you are so observant and make Mommy feel so proud when you notice every little change I make throughout our home.  Your "Whoooa's" melt my heart!

Well, I just spent the last hour going back and forth from each of your rooms.  I'd get one of you settled and then the other would start crying.  Mr. Arlo started it all by busting into your room, Buddha.  His claws are so loud on the hardwood floors and you woke up screaming.  Bodhi, you are refusing to go to sleep, however, Mommy finally said, "that's it, Bodhi, go to sleep NOW!"  So far so good.

Anyway, back to this afternoon.  You two went down for a late nap because we all lost track of time.  You both ended up sleeping until 5pm!  Mommy got you both excited by declaring another movie and dinner night.  Yes, Mommy is really asking for trouble allowing you two to sit in front of the television while eating your dinner, not once but TWICE this week.  Mommy couldn't resist, because we had so much fun last time, and this weekend we aren't going to be able to spend much time together.  So, tonight was another special night, one that will hopefully sustain us through this long dreaded weekend.  Well, you two are certain to have a good time, but not Mommy!  You both had corn dogs and green beans!  Mommy allowed you two to have a corn dog on the stick.  You both have only had the lovely choking hazards one other time in your life.  You both LOVED them!  I thought you two were going to eat the stick.  You guys ate most of your green beans too, which is no surprise because greenie beanies are your favorite.

After dinner, Sister Kelly and Brother Aaron stopped by to visit you both.  Mommy sat back and pinned some items on Pinterest since Sister Kelly and Brother Aaron needed a Bodhi and Buddha fix.  Sister Kelly bought you big girl Dora panties.  You of course loved them!  She also bought you both the messiest biggest suckers ever!  Yeah, just wait, when Sister Kelly has little munchkins, Mommy will be paying her back hee/hee  After Sister Kelly and Brother Aaron left, Daddy took you both upstairs and Mommy got a late bath going.  It was the perfect ending to a perfect day.  However, as I mentioned earlier, you both are not wanting to go to sleep, Bodhi, or stay asleep, Buddha!    Sweet Dreams!  Mommy and Daddy love you so much! xoxoxoxox

A Day of Adventures

This morning Daddy had us all up, wanting us to get started with our family day of adventures :)  We all got dressed and then we went to breakfast at IHOP.  It was shocking that we spent $36.00 dollars for BREAKFAST for two adults and two babes!  Seriously!  You two ate all of your breakfast and some of Mommy's and Daddy's.  A guy with his daughter at the table beside us couldn't believe it, and he commented that he wish his little girl ate so well ha/ha!  Mommy explained that you two get it honestly :0  Afterwards we stopped by Lucas Home Furnishings to visit with Aunt Nettie and Aunt Kathy along with all our other Lucas family.  Mindy was the only one working :)  Bodhi, you were walking down the store isle yelling "Mindy, Mindy!"  She got the biggest kick out of you two.  We had a nice visit, and you two loved running around the store like little crazy people.

After our visit we had an hour before nap time, so we opted to go to Highland Park.  You two loved your park time, and it was a perfect ending to our morning.  Once home we all watched a cartoon and geared up for naps.  You both went down easily, YAY!  Mommy was then off to the hair salon for some much needed hair therapy.  Mommy was sick of being dark, I decided to go back to my natural blonde hair with tons of layers.  I even got my eyebrows waxed.  It was so nice getting my hair "did!"  Mommy was horrified at how much it cost, but it was a special treat :)

Mommy's hair took several hours and I arrived home in time for us to begin our next adventure.  Daddy wanted to take Mommy to Carmel to shop at TJMAXX,  we're looking for rugs and another bird cage.  Mommy has decided to make two whimsical bird cage chandeliers for my craft room lighting.  I have one already, but I need another one to hang lower.  Mommy and Daddy stopped at McDonalds to pick you two up some dinner to go.  Bodhi, you had a McDouble with ketsup only, and Jude, you had chicken bites.  You two ate every bit of your dinner.  Jude, you even ate a 4th of your sister's sandwich... she was nice enough to share.  You decided since Sissy shared her sandwich, you'd give her a few chicken bites, you two are so sweet.  The rest of the evening was spent walking around, shopping, and enjoying being with one another. You two love to go to stores, you ride around in the carts saying "Oooooh!"  You both ended up getting a special treat too.

Tomorrow is a Mommy day.  Mommy isn't working tomorrow, so we're going to have a fun day together!  Sweet dreams my sweet babes.

Bodhi and Buddha enjoying some time at the park with Mommy and Daddy :)

Come on you BIG CHICKEN hee/hee

Sure Buddha, you won't go down the slide with the tunnel, but you'll swing from the top of other slides!  Oh Boy!

Dinner And A Movie!

Daddy had to get to work early this morning, so Mommy was on her own to get us all ready and out the door. You two went to Aunt Ti's for an eventful morning, and Mommy left for work.  Today, was a short day at Aunt Ti's, and I'm certain she's glad it wasn't a long day.  Buddha, you were biting and hitting, Bodhi, you had a meltdown over having to share with Lizzie and Andrew, and so Aunt Ti was on her toes all day.  Then, when Mommy arrived to pick you two up, Mommy accidentally tracked some mud in on Aunt Ti's carpet!  Mommy felt horrible... Mommy is so anti-wearing shoes on carpet too, I just spaced it.  So, Mommy got us out there to give Aunt Ti some relief, she assured Mommy she was fine ha/ha, but Mommy didn't want to push our luck :)

You two took an extra long nap!  Mommy was able to get some work done.  Bodhi, you woke up in a horrible mood.  Mommy tried everything to get you in a better mood, but nothing was working.  Daddy stopped in while Mommy was starting super, he bought you two a movie, "Rio."  Mommy had told Daddy how Aunt Ti and you all were dancing like crazy to the music from the movie, so Daddy thought it would be a nice treat for you two.  You both started to perk up, a movie along with some cheese slices from Momma kept you two content until dinner was done.  Mommy decided since our time together has been limited, and you two were cranky as heck, it would be a nice treat to have dinner and a movie in the front room for the first time.  Mommy set up your little table in the living room and we all ate in from of the boob tube.  This is a big no no, but it was a well-deserved treat for us all.  You two had a blast, chowing down and watching a great movie :)  The rest of the evening went so peaceful and smoothly.  We had play time and cuddle time, and Mommy managed to catch our blog up.

Mommy just got done putting you to bed, Buddha.  Mommy told you that tomorrow it was going to be "Momma, Da Da, Bo Bo, and Buddha ALL day long!  Buddha, you repeated, "Momma, Da Da, Bo Bo, Boo Da," and smiled.  I promise, it was the sweetest!  Bodhi, Mommy told you the same thing a few minutes ago, your face lit up and you said "Wowwwww!"  So, hopefully tomorrow will be an extension of tonight...smooth and peaceful!

On a side note... Mommy realized this morning that I have a 20 page paper for one class due on the 27th, and 4-five page papers for my other classes exam!  So basically, this weekend is going to be a repeat nightmare of this past weekend :(  Mommy is so depressed about it!

And the movie begins :)
Buddha snacking on a ball, waiting for dinner to be served :0

Look at Mommy's little piggies!  Loved the Salisbury steak, mashed potatoes, and green beans :)-

The Big Pooper

Mommy is starting backwards because I’ve got some BIG NEWS!  Bodhi went poo poo on the potty!  The first time for going on the potty, period!  And sadly, Mommy missed it.  Mommy and Daddy had promised you both a treat/surprise when we picked you up from Aunt Ti’s, since it was going to be a long day, and well, Mommy forgot and Daddy reminded me.  So, Mommy ran to the drugstore, to pick you both up a surprise, as well as Daddy a treat.  While I was away, Sister Kelly noticed that you looked as though you were poo’ing Bo!  She asked if you wanted to go on the potty, and you shouted, “YEAH!”  So you, Buddha, Sister Kelly, Brother Aaron, and Daddy ran upstairs behind you.  It was quite the big show, and even Buddha was excited and knew what you were doing.  You were a pro Bo!  You grabbed some toilet paper, sat up on the potty, grunted, and YOU ACTUALLY WENT POTTY!  Juders ran and got you some baby wipes and handed them to you J  Sister Kelly, Brother Aaron (who was photographing the moment), Daddy, and Bubba all cheered hee/hee  Sister Kelly you must have known that it was going to be a “big people poo” and that’s why you agreed to go on the “big people potty.”  Mommy asked if she photographed the first BIG poo ha/ha but she said no, she didn’t want to be known as Sister Kelly, the sister who took a picture of your big people poo hee/hee

You two spent the entire day with Aunt Ti, Ellie, Lizzie, and Andrew… today was President’s Day so Ellie didn’t have school J  You both adore little Ms. Ellie.  Mommy of course forgot to take the camera inside Aunt Ti’s, and I also forgot to leave the car seats.  Mommy’s brain is fried.  We had a rough start today.  Mommy was walking down the stairs carrying bags, and Bo, you lost your balance and fell down the last four steps.  Mommy reached out only to cause you land head first into the hardwood floor, rather than falling on your bum L  You cried, you screamed and you screamed and you screamed.  You did not want to go to Aunt Ti’s and your head was hurting you.  Poor baby girl!  Mommy got you a cup of your morning juice and you calmed down.  Buddha, Mommy had to wake you up.  You are so stinkin’ cute in your crib with your stuffed animals.  I can’t even tell you how sweet you are when you first wake up… just like your sister was at your age (she’s going through a not so sweet morning stage right now hee/hee).  You long white hair sticks up in all directions, your one eye is wider than the other (just like Mommy’s in the morning and late at night), and you are SO HAPPY to see Momma!

When Mommy arrived to pick you both up this evening, Aunt Ti turned on the music and told Mommy to watch.  You two had Mommy cracking up and smiling ear to ear!  Bodhi, you copy Andrew and try break dancing, while mixing in some booty shakes and funny faces, Buddha, you are a stomper, you stop your little feet so hard while head banging J  It was priceless!  You two were much happier than this morning when Mommy left you two.  Aunt Ti, like Grandmoo, always cheer you two up.

With all the excitement... Bubba, Sister Kelly didn't get but one picture of you :(

Mommy’s Grad School Nightmare Continues!

Well, today is yet another long day for Mommy and for Daddy.  In the spirit of doing things we don’t want to do, Daddy has been painting the living the room (for as long as his back will allow).  Mommy has been “cutting-in” for Daddy, so that Mommy can have a mental release.  You both were so groggy this morning, but you both instantly perked up when I reminded you that today you two would be spending the morning with GiGi and GiGi-Pa. Mommy and Daddy got you dressed and Mommy transported you both to GiGi’s and Gi-Pa’s.

You two had a fun time at GiGi and GiGi-Pa's as usual!

You two came home and took a nice long nap.  Bodhi, you fought taking a nap at first, but Mommy eventually got you down, as only Mommy can manage to do somedays.  Mommy and Daddy worked your nap time away, and into the evening.  We managed you two while managing our work, we both wish we could have just had our normal family “Sunday Funday,” soon this nightmare will be over and we can get back to normal!

Sleepover Hangovers

Whewwww, you both hardly napped, and you both were cranky as heck Saturday after arriving home from Aunt Ti’s, and this continued full force for the reminder of the evening.  The plan was for you two to come home, take a nap, and then go to Grandmoo’s until bedtime so that Mommy can continue to work on her Grad school papers/exams, and so that Daddy can work and get some projects around the house done.  Cranky One and Cranky Two, you both were shipped to Grandmoo as planned, and Grandmoo was not thrilled with either of your dispositions hee/hee She says she wants no part of the aftermath of sleepovers in the future J-  However, you both were excited to see Grandmoo, and you both were shouting “Grandmoo” as loud as you could all the way to Grandmoo’s house, and Grandmoo made the most of it and got you two to enjoy your time with her.

Grandmoo took you two across the street, to our old house, to feed the neighborhood stray kitties on our old porch.  You two, bundled up and flashlights in hand, accompanied Grandmoo to feed the crippled and homeless fur balls J  Jude, Grandmoo could not keep you contained for anything.  You were chasing cats with your flashlight through neighbor’s yards, crawling in bushes, and shinning your light in people’s windows hee/hee  You and your sister managed to catch one stray, you had the poor cat by one leg and managed to pull “shim” out from the bush.  You and Bodhi had a blast rolling around and loving on it, and Grandmoo was shocked at how tolerant the starving kitty was of you both.  She reports we almost had a cat coming home with you two, but at the last minute she decided she better not.  Grandmoo’s worried about them infecting you both with cat diseases ha!  Mommy and Grandmoo still need to complete the Animal Rescue House, as well as put a cat door in our garage… so we can take in a few extra…Good Lord!  Mommy and Daddy are very allergic to cats, and Mommy has never been a “cat lover,” neither has Grandmoo, but none of can stand to watch an animal suffer.  If stupid people would get their animals fixed we wouldn’t have this problem!

Anyway, you two had a great time at Grandmoo’s.  Bodhi, Mommy thinks you may have something stuck up your nose, but I don’t see anything.  You always rub it and complain it hurts.  You’ve also been complaining that your pee pee hurts L  You’ll be going to the doctor soon.

Pictures from Aunt Ti's... Grandmoo didn't manage to capture any funny moments at her house!

Fun Friday Sleepover

Today you two are staying overnight at Aunt Ti’s so that Mommy can focus on the start of her comprehensive Grad school exam…Ugggggh!  Bodhi, this is your second overnight away from home.  You stayed with GiGi and Gi-Pa while Mommy was giving birth to your brother, and you stayed overnight one other time with Aunt Ti while Mommy and Daddy had an overnight adventure in Bloomington for Daddy’s birthday :)  Buddha, this was your second overnight visit! You also stayed with your sister at Aunt Ti’s while Mommy and Daddy celebrated Daddy’s birthday.  Mommy and Daddy are always anxious about you two not being home with Mommy and Daddy, but we know you are in capable hands, and are certain to have a great time with Ellie, Lizzie, and Andrew :)

Aunt Ti kept you two up super late… in true slumber party fashion.  You two danced and played your little hearts out.  Mommy text Aunt Ti periodically to check in on you both, and she sent Mommy pictures of you two… with big smiles on your face.  Bodhi, you requested to sleep in Andrew’s “blue bed,” and Andrew being the sweet boy he is, agreed and ended up sleeping on the floor in his sister’s room :(  You just had to sleep in the “blue bed!”  Buddha, you slept in a play yard by your sister.  When Aunt Ti went to get you both up the next morning, Bodhi, you were sitting in the play yard, and Buddha, you had climbed out of the play yard and were sitting in the “blue bed.”  You two are such stinkers :)   You both had a great time and were reported as being well-behaved, more importantly no breakdowns!!! :)  Mommy is so lucky to have Aunt Ti as a friend, she really helped Mommy out big time!
