Monday, Monday, Can't Trust That Day

We all had the Monday blahs today.  You both were very good babies today, but both of you were quite clingy and needy of your Momma.  Jude, you stood up in Bodhi's crib for the first time all by yourself today.  You continued to try to stand up from a crawling position, and you would get highly frustrated when you ended up belly flopping.  I sure hope you decide to crawl before you walk.  I worry about you, Bodhi, since you walked before you crawled and you rarely crawl.  Jude, for the last two days you have been saying consistently Da da da da, which Mommy chalks up as baby talk, Daddy however, believes you are saying Da Da Daddy hee/hee  Jude, whenever you say Da da da da, Mommy corrects you by pointing to my lips, like Bodhi's speech therapists do, and say "Momma" over and over, you in return say Da da da da.  When you are distressed however, you yell out Mom mommmm, and Mommy comes running.

This afternoon Bodhi, you and Momma were playing with Jude on his blanket, he didn't like when we were in the kitchen and demanded that we come be with him.  Mommy laid on her belly and started making funny faces at you, Jude.  Bodhi, you thought this was funny, so you laid next to Mommy with your face in Jude's face and you both giggled hysterically.  Jude, you of course grabbed two handfuls of Mommy's hair and used Mommy's hair to assist you with trying to stand.  Bodhi, you did not like this and when Mommy freed her hair and looked up, you were pulling on Jude's ear trying to get him to let go of Mommy's hair.  Jude, you were half laughing and half getting ready to let out a whale of cry.  We all wrestled around until bath time.  Bodhi, you gave Mommy the willies once again today.  While we were playing you pointed into the dinning room, which didn't seem unusual.  So, I asked, Bodhi, what do you want.  You then pointed again grunted and then followed with your finger from one end of the dinning room, as if you were following movement,  all the way to the other end of the dinning room.  Mommy, trying to figure out what you were doing, started questioning you, "What do you want, what are you pointing at, what do you see?"  Bodhi, you then pointed to Mr. Murff, and Mommy said "Mr. Murff."  You then pointed to Jude, and Mommy said "Bubby Jude."  You then pointed to yourself and Mommy said "Bodhi."  You then pointed at Mommy and I said "Mommy."   You then looked up and pointed at the side of the dinning room, where you had previously stopped, and then slowly pointed, as if you were following something, until you reached the kitchen.  Mommy then got the willies.  It was as if you were asking me what we call whatever it was you were pointing at, that Mommy couldn't see.  Mommy has never seen a ghost, still doesn't know if I believe in angels, demons, aliens, and/or ghosts, and I would characterize myself and Daddy as spiritual people, but our religious views are eclectic at best, so I worry about these behaviors you are exhibiting.  You've really got Mommy, and I think, Daddy, questioning our core beliefs but also worried that something else might be going on with you.

Bodhi, from the minute you were born,  Mommy has always thought you were a unique little baby girl.  Mommy has talked with Grandmoo at length trying to figure out why you seem so different from other babies to me.  Grandmoo says you are definitely unique, but she thinks it's because of all the drugs they pumped Mommy with during induction and childbirth.  Mommy has always said, and Daddy can confirm, you always seemed like an old soul to me.  I would say to Daddy constantly, "she seems like a little person in a baby body," and Daddy would respond with, "she is a little person hee/hee."  He then would say, "she's an old soul."  Bodhi, you never engaged in typical baby behaviors, such as coo'ing, babbling, and crawling.  You would giggle and smile, but you never really coo'd or babbled.  Mommy's feelings of you being a little different was only solidified for Mommy, after the birth of your brother.  You two are night and day, totally different, aside from the gender difference of course hee/hee, he babbles, coo's etc...  So, Mommy says... always embrace your uniqueness, for you are a special soul (and yes, Mommy and Daddy believe that there is an unidentifiable aspect of a person, known as a soul)!

Jude, all this talk about Bodhi, let me just tell you, you are the happiest and sweetest soul ever!  Mommy is amazed at how social and happy you are and have been since birth.  You are in-tuned to people's feelings and react accordingly. You do not like when your sister is upset, it upsets you.  Mommy has playfully said, "No Jude," and you react with what I would characterize as "shock" but then you give a look like you would say, if you could talk, "there was no need for you to say that Momma!"  You are so sweet and loving.  Mommy cuddled you for a good hour after you woke from your nap, while Bodhi was still napping today.  Mommy loves our cuddle time together.  You just hold on to Mommy's neck and squeeze, for what seems like forever, and I LOVE IT!

Mommy tried to help melt those Monday blahs away with some sugar-free chocolate pudding for dessert!  You were signing "All Done!" in this picture ;)

Easter Sunday

First thing this morning Mommy got a call from GiGi!  She told Mommy the exciting news that Bodhi, your picture was selected and printed in the Kokomo Tribune!  YAY, what a special Easter gift for Mommy! Mommy hopped online to check it out, and there you were!  However, Mommy later discovered after seeing the actual paper, your picture was printed in black and white.  The picture was so unique because of all the colors :(  Oh well, you are a super star Bodhi girl, and Mommy is very proud of you :)

Today was absolutely a family day!  You both played with Mommy and Daddy most of the morning, but Daddy all morning long.  Mommy decided to get some of the late night house cleaning done earlier than usual, so we could enjoy the rest of our evening together.  We arrived at GiGi's at 4pm for the Easter egg hunt.  The Easter bunny stuffed some eggs with "Little People," cash, and other gifts for you both.  Bodh, you were so excited to have another Easter egg hunt!  Jude man, you were hungry, despite just nursing before we arrived, so you were a little fussy.  However, nothing a little attention and cuddling wouldn't cure for a while.  Afterwards, Bodhi you and Daddy opened all the eggs together.  You kept saying "ooooooh!"  It was so cute!  Jude, you chewed on a stuffed Easter Bunny the entire time.  You both had such an awesome time at GiGi's and Gi-Pa Poncho's.  You both played and ate, to the point of exhaustion.  Bodhi, we could not get over all the food you ate.  Of course, you ate like you hadn't eaten in days!  You both had explosions a short time after though, we all knew you didn't have room to put all that food away.  Bodhi, Grandmoo put a pair of her socks on you to keep your legs warm, as you had leaked through your diaper and onto your pants.  The socks went clear up to your thighs.  It was hilarious.  Jude, at dinner, after putting Bodhi's bib on you, your neck turned a horrible yellow color.  You scared everyone, we didn't know what was going on.  Daddy thought die from the bib (which was plastic and had been washed several times) Mommy thought you had an allergic reaction, and GiGi and Grandmoo thought you had a baby food stain covering your entire neck and chin.  After a process of elimination, we all agreed that some how the dye from the bib had transferred to your neck and chin, only because when we used alcohol the yellowish color transferred to the cloth.  However, Mommy had to scrub, and this made you very angry... so, you still have yellow dye all over your neck and chin hee/hee

After we left GiGi's and Gi-Pa Poncho's, you both went right to sleep once home.  Mommy completed a last minute homework assignment she didn't know about until Sister Kelly called, and of course Daddy proofread it for Mommy :) Happy 1st Easter baby Jude Liam, and Happy 2nd Easter Emilia Bodhi!  You both are so loved!

Ready, Set, Go... Easter

Bodhi and Jude, Mommy is so proud of the two of you.  You both only had an hour nap before we headed to the Easter Egg hunt held by the Kokomo Parks Department at Northwest Park, but you both were really good.  Jude, you were a sweetheart despite your allergies.  Bodhi, when Mommy went into your room to get you ready to go, you were sleeping with a blanket over your head sitting up.  Mommy ran downstairs as fast as she could, grabbed Daddy and the camera, and ran back upstairs to snap a picture.  It was unbelievable, you were actually asleep!

Bodhi, you were so cute walking around in your little rain boots, carrying your little Easter egg basket!  Jude, you poor thing, your allergies were bothering you.  You kept itching your face, sneezing, and you just weren't happy to be outdoors.  Grandmoo and GiGi wanted to watch you two at your first Easter egg hunt, and Mommy and Daddy were happy to have the extra help, so it was quite the family affair.  Bodhi and Jude, you both cleaned up with a total of 16 eggs.  Daddy picked up two more eggs that children had left behind, bringing your total to 18.  However, little did we know, you had to have found a ticket in an egg to win a prize.  None of our 18 eggs had a ticket.  We did however, get coupons for free ice cream cones for participating.  Bodhi, you had a blast and were just excited to be outside collecting eggs.  Afterwards, Mommy and Daddy took you to redeem your ice cream cone.

Once back home, Bodhi you played outside with Grandmoo for about a half hour before going down for another nap.  Jude, you stayed awake the entire time your sister was sleeping.  Sister Kelly came over to see you both.  Bodhi, we woke you up so you wouldn't be up all night.  Mommy then colored Easter eggs with you.  Jude, you watched from your highchair, and you were not amused.  Bodhi, you loved coloring the eggs, but Mommy thinks you might have liked washing your hands and playing in the water even more.

Daddy's friend, Uncle Hawk, rode over on his motorcycle to visit tonight.  Bodhi, he snatched you up and started playing with you.  You instantly loved Uncle Hawk.  Uncle Hawk has been wanting to see you, Jude, but once again you were asleep during his visit.  Uncle Hawk is dying to see you.

Today, was a good day!  Once again Mommy and Daddy are exhausted though :)  Tomorrow, you both will get to find eggs at GiGi's and Gi-Pa Poncho's.  They are also making us dinner :)  Yummm!

Yep, you were actually asleep, Bodhi!

Daddy lifted up the blanket so Mommy could take your picture!
