Mommy's 2nd Mother's Day With Two Special Babes & Two Special Fuzzies

Oh what a special day!  Mommy's 2nd Mother's Day shared with my four special babes!  Bodhi, you had Mommy all to yourself for your first Mother's Day, but Jude, you were happy to share your first Mother's Day with your sister.  Gi-Pa Poncho took, Mommy, Grandmoo, GiGi, Daddy, and you both out to breakfast at Bob Evans this morning.  It was so crowded and hot, but we all had a good time stuffing our faces :)  GiGi brought Mommy the newspaper and showed Mommy that Mr. Murff and Mr. Arlo made the paper (a huge color photo) YAY!  Juders your little face is still so red and blotchy on your cheeks and chin.  It's not getting any better!  During our wait for our food, you would not quit head diving out of your booster seat into Mommy's chest.  So, Mommy took you out to the car to nurse you, and Grandmoo helped shield us!  Bodhi, you were growing very impatient waiting for your food.  So, GiGi taught you what a waitress/waiter looked like, and told you that they would be bringing your food shortly.  So, every time a waitress or waiter walked by our table, you held out your arms and grunted, like you were reaching for your plate.  It was hilarious.  One waitress felt so horrible she brought you crackers hee/hee  Mommy had a snack for you, but you wanted your breakfast.  You are just like your GiGi when it comes to eating on a schedule :)

After breakfast we went back to GiGi's and Gi-Pa Poncho's.  We gave Grandmoo her hanging basket, and gift bag of goodies with a card.  Grandmoo gave GiGi her two hanging baskets and a card.  You both gave Mommy a card and you also bought Mommy a stylish bag to carry Mommy's camera in.  However, I don't think it's going to work, but it was beautiful!  Grandmoo bought me two hanging ferns for our front porch. She also gave Mommy a really special card :)  Bodhi, while at GiGi's you ran around the yard with Mommy kicking a ball.  You also watered flowers, fed the birds, and cleaned up the squirrels' feed mess.  You love to feed and water everything at GiGi's.  Jude, you bounced around from person to person and played in the yard, picking grass.  Sissy let you see her ball once :)

This evening, Sister Kelly, the Governor, and Grandmoo came back over to play with you both outside.  Bodhi, you and Mommy colored on the sidewalk with chalk, you also managed to color a few other things besides the sidewalk and porch floor :)-.  Sister Kelly put flowers in your hair, and Jude, you walked around in your walker.  You both became frightened with the business owner next door when he rode the riding lawn mower and mowed the adjoining strip of grass out front, and you both really became hysterical when Daddy brought out Mommy's weed whacker and started trimming around the yard.  Daddy also planted tomatoes in Mommy's garden :)  Jude, in honor of your Momma on Mother's Day, you got a tattoo on your left arm that says "Mom" with a heart :)  You look so cute tatted up!

Well, Mommy took over 350 pictures today, so it will be interesting to see how many I choose to put in here tonight!

A Little Bit of Momma's Day Before Momma's Day

This morning Mommy made Daddy go and get me a half and half coffee from Big Ben, a newspaper, and then I had Daddy make me an egg omelet (Daddy makes the BEST omelets).  I figure since Daddy says we have to celebrate his birthday all month long, and Father's Day all month long, Mommy can surely get a good cup of coffee, a newspaper, and an egg omelet the day before Mother's Day! :)  Mommy found out from Debbie Riffe, that Mr. Murff and Mr. Arlo were on today's front page of the newspaper (yet another nice early Mother's Day gift).  They were previewed in the top right hand corner, advertising for readers to submit photos :)  Mommy was so stoked!  I have officially managed to get all of my babies featured in the Kokomo Tribune.  Mommy looked online and discovered, all of Mommy's photos were selected and posted online too!  I don't know if I previously mentioned, but I recently discovered two more of Mommy's photos highlighted online as well.  It was the picture of Mommy, the Federspill girls, and you two sitting with the Easter bunny at Easy Acre Farms.  Also, a picture of Aunt Amanda with Mia and Ava at Easy Acre Farms was posted online!  :)  Momma is on a roll!   We'll see tomorrow if they actually print a large picture of Mr. Murff and Mr. Arlo (I'm so excited to find out)!

Mommy played with you both all morning, and I even managed to get Daddy's finals for his classes graded for him.  Daddy was out mowing and doing lawn work (which is Mommy's favorite chore but Daddy hogs it), however, Mommy cashed in her pedicure gift certificate from Christmas, which made up for not getting to mow and garden.   Mommy even found a black and white vintage dress for you, Bodhi.  It coordinates with Mommy's dress... so we'll be coordinated for our family photo.  Mommy decided against having you wear your Easter outfit for the picture (it is brown and cream).  Plus, GiGi and Grandmoo are always on Mommy to put you in dresses.  Well, you have a pretty little dress to wear :)  After Mommy went shopping and got a pedicure, I called Daddy to check on you two.  Daddy was managing just fine, and it was nice that Daddy didn't call Mommy every 15 minutes asking questions hee/hee  Mommy felt bad not spending any time with the two of you this evening, so I picked you up, Bodhi,  and took you with me to pick out Grandmoo's hanging flower plant for her Mother's day present.  It's tradition... I always buy Grandmoo flowers, and she always buys GiGi flowers :)  Bodhi, while at the store, you "ooooh'd" at all the flowers and you even managed to pick a flower when Mommy wasn't looking, and after I told you "NO" 100 times!  You are something else girl!  Jude, you were happy playing with your Daddy.  When Mommy walked in you were smiling and having a good time.  Your cheeks are still real red and irritated.  I think you might be allergic to your medication.  I think your ears are still bothering you too, you keep wanting to sleep sitting up and cry when you lay flat :(  Mommy is going to call and get you back into the doctor Monday.  Your diaper rash is slowly improving though.

This was taken last night after Daddy's Award ceremony... Mommy had to do the blog and Jude, you didn't want to go to sleep by yourself.  This is actually the second picture I took, you smiled in your sleep :)

"Hi Momma!" ;)

Bodhi, you hate the Mommarazzi... so you've started shoving your baby bears into Momma's camera lens!  AND... what's that in your mouth?  I see how Daddy operates while Momma is away!  You aren't allowed to have the binky until you go down for a nap or bedtime ;) Such a sucker, just like your Daddy!

Steady there Juders

To Candace, Wow, what a small world!  I can never post a comment on here (lack of knowledge on my part I'm certain), so I thought I'd leave you a note on here :)  I'm glad you enjoy our blog, did you hear about it from Jane?  And, yes, it's true... Jane never ages!  When I took her picture, she asked if it looked ok hee/hee I told her she doesn't take a bad picture :)

Professor Of The Year- Your Daddy

For a couple of weeks now, Sister Kelly and myself have known that your Daddy was selected for the Professor of the Year award.  We almost broke down and told him a few times in the last couple of days because your Daddy has been so stressed that he didn't want to go and he kept saying he was going to find away out of going.  Momma kept telling him that he had to go and support the student he nominated for an award, and if he didn't he would bring bad Karma to our family hee/hee

So, your Daddy left for the awards ceremony and Sister Kelly and myself scrambled to get everyone ready and out the door.  Daddy thought we were all going to a Zumba party, Mommy lied and said a bunch of families were getting together hee/hee and Mommy further lied and said that they were going to be cooking low calorie meals and teaching us how to prepare healthier meals for our families :)-  Anyway, Sister Kelly took off and then called Mommy to navigate us to the school, Peru High School, since there was construction and what not.  Your Grandmoo went to Peru HS and hated it!  Once Mommy arrived with the two of you, Sister Kelly grabbed you, Bodhi, and Mommy grabbed you, Jude and we made a mad dash.  We ran up three different flights of stairs only to come to a locked door, Ugggh!  We finally made it inside and caught your Daddy on stage.  We didn't make it in time to see him accept his award.  :(  Mommy took some pictures and sent word to Daddy that we were all there.  He obviously didn't hear the first message, because he didn't look around for us.  Finally, someone else whispered in Daddy's ear and we saw Daddy start turning around looking all over.  Yeah, your Daddy can't hear but he acts like he hears what people are telling him hee/hee  Daddy then came outside to the hallway and we all got some pictures taken together.  Sister Kelly left, and Mommy decided to get gas and come back after everyone was released to have refreshments.  It was an exciting night.  You both did very well, especially since it was three hours past your bedtime.  Jude, Aunt Beth Chaney about kidnapped you, she was plotting.  Bodhi, if you weren't glued to your Daddy, she would have had you too!  She thinks you two are absolutely adorable.  We also so saw Aunt Jane Horner.  Aunt Jane and her daughter want to meet us at the park sometime next week, I guess we are supposed to have some really nice weather! :) So, we'll be seeing Aunt Jane again real soon.

Once back home, Sister Kelly decorated the house!  She got you, Bodhi, ready for bed as Mommy was getting Jude ready.  Mommy turned to get a kiss from you, Bodhi, and Jude went from a laying position, sat up and flipped himself off the bed!  Poor DUDE!  Not a good ending to a nice evening.

Daddy was so happy and very surprised that we came :)

Thank you Sister Kelly for all your help! ;)
Looks like two babies are up way past their bedtime!  You two suckers!

Mommy thought for sure Daddy recognized Mommy taking this picture... but he obviously didn't...The look on Daddy's face is the look he makes when he's been tricked ;)

Fort G. Holsapple

Bodhi, today, you experienced your first homemade fort.  I don't know why I hadn't thought to make you a fort or a tent before, especially since you love to hide in the curtains, under the dinning room and kitchen tables, and in corners that obscure clear view.  You put your rocking chair in your fort and played with your baby bears.  You loved it, well, until Daddy came home from work.  Then you were all about Daddy attention :) Bodhi, you managed to get another major bump on your forehead today.  You were fooling around with your rocking chair while Mommy was putting clothes away, so I don't know exactly what you did, but you have a mark on your forehead, right by the other major bruise.  Mommy is going to have to put makeup on you for our family picture!   Jude, you woke up refreshed, looking better than you have in a while.  However, you still appeared to be less than 100%.  Your diaper rash improved from a dry cracking and all over, to a blotchy smooth and red rash.  You are still itching like crazy... it broke Mommy's and Grandmoo's heart to watch you dig at your pee pee while changing your diaper.  Jude, you were crawling like crazy today.  You also try to pull yourself up with anything near or around you.  Thankfully, Mommy was right beside you when you attempted to pull yourself up with both the fan and the table in your and Bodhi's room this morning.

While you two napped today, Mommy did her routine cleaning and I also spent time on the computer learning new words to teach you both how to sign.  Jude, Mommy should have started teaching you signs a couple of months ago, but like Bodhi, better late than never.  You are so smart, just like your sister, so I'm certain you'll pick up on signing just as quickly.  Grandmoo even commented how smart Bodhi is, and then expressed that you are just as smart as your sister:)

This evening was Zumba night for Mommy.  After your nap, Bodhi, GiGi came and got you.  You were so excited to go with GiGi!  Jude, Mommy let you walk in your walker outside so you could get some fresh air before going to my class.  Bodhi, you came home from GiGi's and Gi-Pa Poncho's a little after 8pm, you were in your p.j.'s smelling super baby fresh from your bath.  GiGi even had your teeth brushed.  Mommy asked if you were ready for bed or if you wanted to stay up with Mommy and Daddy, you, without hesitation, started up the stairs.  You were ready for bed!  Mommy tucked you in and you instantly fell asleep.  Grandmoo watched you, Jude, while Mommy Zumba'd and while Daddy graded papers for his classes.  You are so sweet, Mommy showed Grandmoo how when you are asked to give Mommy a kiss, you lean in with an open mouth and plant one on Mommy.  Grandmoo then asked you to give her a kiss and you gave her a big wet kiss as well :)  Mommy nursed you and left you in the bed with Daddy, but you woke up shortly after, so Mommy nursed you once again.  I was then able to get you in your own crib, awake, and you also fell back asleep right away.

"You are so funny GiGi!"

"Ummm, I thought you were here for me, GiGi?"

"What Daddy?" "I'm ready to go!"

"Don't get me Daddy!"

"Ok, one smooch but then I'm going!"

"Hi Momma!"

"Whoa, back away from our Buddha pup or we will charge!"

"I like Mommy time outside!"
Jude, your lazy eye really shows when you aren't feeling well or when you are tired.  You get that from Mommy, and Sissy has it too :(

"Curious Buddha" ;)
"Momma, what is Mr. Arlo doing?"

"I need to get a better look... I think he's pee'ing on that bush!"
"Is that allowed, Momma?"

That's a semi-truck Jude!
